Not sure this will see play. Typically hunters don't go for tons of value.
Premium statted minion is really good for aggresive decks, but i don't think FACE hunter want's this value machine. Also because it says "play" and not "summon" it means that Quest Hunter also can't really use it that well. Yeah Hunter doesn't really like value generators, unless it's Deathstalker Rexxar...
Standard: Might see experimentation at MOST, but it will probably be dropped pretty fast.
Wild: Good hunter decks in wild are already quite... rare and few, and those those all have one thing in common: They don't want Saddlemaster, because creating value doesn't fit in their plan of going FACE.
Meh.
Hunter don't use to play value cards like this.
It's fine, may find a home in highlander hunter while it lasts.
I've slagged off Whirlkick Master in the past, as well as Sethekk Veilweaver and got egg on my face today. I've learnt my lesson this time round, and will now say that this card is only 'borderline' to being trash.
Hunter will nearly never get tons of value out of this in one turn. The fact that there isn't really a lot of 1 mana beasts stifles this even further. Had Springpaw still exist in standard, this card would have some say in a standard midrange hunter, but it isn't, so at very best this card will get value only from 2 mana cards, and then will proceed to give you cards you can neither play nor want on the same turn.
There's always the chance this snowballs, but its going to be a very small snowball rolling down on a hot day.
lol for the beast hunter push ; very little, and kinda late
Looks weak to me. A decent vanilla minion, but it's hard to imagine a viable hunter deck that wants to just generate a bunch of random beasts: that pool is large and pretty diluted.
Remember when people thought the mech from galakronds awakening was going to be good? This is similar, but for beasts and playing instead of dying. Still not going to see play though,
the RNG will keep this balanced so that it won't be just playing copious small swarmy beasts
well hunter does struggle with card draw, so this might see play in some sort of midrange beast hunter... or not :)
I don't think this fits with many Hunter playstyles. They don't usually want to generate random cards, even if it is limited to the beast tribe. You would want to play this with at least one other beast in hand that is also playable that turn but there is no guarantee that you coninue to get playable cards. I'll be surprised if this makes it in a competitive deck.
