Custom Galio champion

This subforum is a little empty. Let's fix that, shall we?

I'll go first:

I tried to to capture as much of the big guy's character as possible:

- He's massive, the biggest champion in the game by far.

- The fact that he isn't affected by any spells (this include both AoEs and revive effects) represent his immunity to magic.

- Both his Level Up and the additional effect he gets when leveled up represent his empowerment from magic.

- His spell represents the fact that his mere presence nullifies magic (at least in combat).

- The Challanger represents his eagerness to fight.

  • Galio is not the biggest champion in league, Malphite, Cho'gath and Zac are equally big, Malphite is much bigger in lore he is a mountain..

    And Aurelion Sol passes through the galaxy I doubt he is that small actually..

    A few points:

    1.I don't like the art on the level up it's too bright.

    2. a champion levels up when it's played and never does in hand so the level up extra text doesn't make much sense.. it only works from the second copy onward.

    3. the +5/+5 is not something any other champion does.. the level up different shouldn't be that drastic, most champions go by max 2 stats from their none level up.

    About the spell it's probably really useless, reminds me of Rebuke but worse.

    Sorry but, I didn't like the design of the card..

      I'm not seeing either.  The associated URLs are a mile long; might be a character limit issue.

  • Google Drive is bad for file hosting. Use a site like imgur.com

  • I've been using Google Photos. The Albums allow me to better organise the images. I've put them on Imgur, they should work now.

  • Oof. Big stats.

    10/10 challenger for 10 is probably fair for a Champion, but I think it's a little too strong with 'immune to spells' bolted on as well. Part of the reason higher cost cards get a beneficial premium is they're risky plays that can be countered by removal, and that's obviously less true when removal can't touch it!

    The level-up condition I'm undecided about, as I don't really pay attention to how much spell vs regular mana I spend over the course of the game. I like that it's there, but I feel the card should maybe do something interesting rather than just getting a fat stats buff - you'd want a good reason to try to level him up over the course of the game, thus changing your entire game plan, because I suspect a flat +5/+5 isn't enough to get there (i.e. the player wouldn't build or play any differently and if he levels, he levels).
