"For years he sowed seeds of revenge, plotting against Azir in the dark of the Emperor's Tomb. Xerath would see a new Shurima made in his own image, gathering the acolytes who had studied his arcane magics to serve as his army. Now, he marches on Shurima just as Azir has revived it." - Scribe Kah'nir, History of the Ascended Host
