My Riot account has been hacked for the second time

My username and password was both changed without my consent.
I didn't get any e-mail confirmation code either, other then this:



There has to be some recent security issue associated with how they manage username accounts.
The hackers are somehow overriding my old username with a new one, but they can't access my e-mail 

I had no problems for 10 years... now its the second time this happens after they implemented their new acc system

Does anyone have any other experiences of being hacked before?

  • Man this sucks, wish I could help but I don't have any experience with this sort of thing.

  • Its fine, i did recover my acc and changed both my email and user passwords just to be sure
    Lets see if this is going to happen a third time now

    • You might want to run a check on your antivirus software to make sure you didn't pick up a keylogger at some point.

        basically this, just run a scan (not the quick one though). And some serious cleaning up will be a good thing too
