Lor not running smoothly on mobile

Hello there. I've downloaded legends of runeterra on my phone for a month now and I love it. But what I noticed was that when I played the game normally, it was pretty clunky and laggy. But, when I kept my finger on the screen,  it ran as smooth as silk. Any ideas?
