OK, I think Hecarim needs to be tunned down

Hecarim must be the must valuable card in the entire game atm. You can splash anything with SI just to slip him under de sleeve. It's time to let him go and try new stuff.

It was discussed previously, but we need to adress how strong the card is ON TOP of how strong the fation operates with him. 

I will talk ONLY about Hecarim and not mention the other cards that should be watched like The Rekindler couse I will miss the point.

Hecarim must to be way expensive but Im not sure if that will solve the other issues. Overwhelm is unnecesary in his stage 1, it just adds absurd value. And his stage 2 it is super conditional to get into, and tbh is just a winmore stage.

Hecarim should get overwhelm when he level up, other wise Riders should be 2/1 or ONE Rider 4/2 with overwhelm

Alternative is make Hecarim less beefy, but I am not a fan of touching his numbers, just removimg overwhelm and touch the riders.

      While I generally agree that Hecarim does a little too much for his cost, I think you should be careful to just toss aside the rest of the Shadow Isles package around him when you think about his power level.

      The champion cards in LoR are the build-arounds of the game, and a lot of what the popular Hecarim decks do today achieves the so called "fantasy" of playing Hecarim - summon a bunch of ethereal creatures, push hard on offense, and have big burst turns where your Ethereal army stomps your opponent.

      The question really is "is it too easy to achieve that, and if so why?" Hecarim's overall power level plays a role in that, but the Shadow Isles packages around him prop him up and make the deck as powerful as it is. With that in mind, are there any data aggregation sites yet for LoR? Something like HSReplay, where we can look at win rates for decks, cards, etc.? I've seen that Mobalytics has some content around a meta tier list, but it's not clear whether any of its content is informed by data, and they certainly do not have those kinds of detailed breakdowns.

  • While I do agree that he's a little overtuned as is, making it so that he only summons a single rider makes it near impossible for him to level up.

    Pretty sure that's not the idea of champion cards. Hell, I've never even seen an upgraded Hecarim in his current form. Let alone when he only summons a single rider per attack.

  • Yeah, we need some numbers, but Riot was never fan o clarity. 

    There is other obnoxious interaction with the pony, and it is Dawn and Dusk, which makes Hecarim instantly level up and do massive damage or wipe out  a board just to use The Rekindler next Turn and finish what is left of the player.

    Seriously, Hecarim is way overtuned, and if it is true SI have some of the most cost/efficient cards in LOR, Hecarim needs a nerf or power shift. Must be the single champion that is worth to play without the need to level him up.

  • I don't see why you feel the need to open another thread on the same topic.. it's clear the card is OP.. he WILL be nerfed tomorrow, there is actually 0 chance he won't be Riot is not Blizzard, they will address the elephant(in this case.. the horse) in the room and won't keep it forever (Like Jade Idol..)

    There will be patch notes in a few hours and we will see what they decided to do with him.
