How did Anivia win that game?

I think im a little upset right now...

i played a game of expidition with a quite good Garen Darius Elite Deck on round 5

my Opponent basicly crafted a probably very solid Aniva Ashe frostburn deck

 

the point where it went strange was the following

he has a lvld Anivia on his side

 

I have a 6/3 (after he took 2 dmg) fearsome guy and a full board on my attack round he on 4 life me on 5

i attack imedeatly so he cant play anything.

so far so good he blocks with anivia the 6/3 and i should have done MORE then enough dmg to kill him trice with my other minions.

What happens? Anivia dies, all of my other minions are frostburned wihtout him playing a card (i looked in the list... nothign happend, he didnt play a spell at all) and he is able to play a few minions and kill me the next round

pls party people what happend here?

      So dusk and dawn is by far the most broken card in game when played with certain other cards   anivia for instance.   summon 2 of an ally.  they have ephereal.  guess what happens when anivia dies!? lol

  • Anivia has no connection with any Frostburn Frostbite effect, so I suppose your guess is as good as mine... Maybe if Winter's Breath or Crystal Arrow were Fast spells, he could've queued up one of those, but they're not, so I have no idea (On second thought, even then, Winter's Breath would've prevented you from killing Anivia).

  • Frostbited* you mean, dunno you need to screenshot when something goes wrong.. he probably used Harsh Winds and you didn't notice.

  • Well i could live with something like that but in the library where it shows you the actions that happened, nothing showed  up.

    Yes i should have screenshotted (thats a word now) the whole thing but i was just baffled....

      The OP said that he had a "full board" and that all of his units were frostbit only after he declared his attack, so that couldn't be it. At least assuming all of his statements are true.

        Oh, this is weird then.

        If the OP has Autopass enabled, then I think DoubleSummon's theory of having Harsh Winds casted on him is plausible and he just passed over it when looking at the history.

        If that isn't it, then I don't know what it is.

          It makes even more sense, when you realize he said he was on the 5th expedition(so everyone has at least 3 champions) and had Anivia on board, anivia's champion spell is Anivia's Harsh Winds.

          • Well maybe thats it. But its a shame i couldnt see it in the log.

            And my statements are true.

            If there is something wrong then because i missed it and it didnt show in the log.

              i had a similar thing happen to me my OP  shuffled ezreal with the parade, after sometime he played a ezeral from hand while controling one the played ezeral didnt hit the field just mystic shot my guy [ like it was supose to do] then the log didnt show a mystic shot but a ezreal on it, beta bugs i guess.

  • The log can be hard to figure out sometimes. Harsh Winds is my guess.

    Its the first time i play a game in beta i think :)

    So ill close an eye or rwo about stuff like that

     

    But i really thought something went very wrong here
