CHENEY, Wash. - This is Reggie Guertson reporting for KOMO 8 News. Wildfires are surging across the northwest this week. The newest fires cover an additional 65 acres and are only 35% contained as of this report. Authorities responding to the blaze have ruled out a mythic origin for the blaze and say that residents should expect the fire to be fully contained within the next few days.
