  Are there any particular strategies for finding those hard-to-find minerals and fish? I remember last month, certain fish were found in certain areas of the site. I still never caught that legendary marlin and would love another crack at it.

  As one of our more journeyed hunters (I like the freedom of the forest) I'll share what I've learned on finding the legendary/rares on my trips exploring around our encampment. Hopefully it helps some of you.

  Fish:
  
  Assuming "Pixel Marlin" hasn't changed it spawns (according to the journal) at night in "realms" (I don't think it's tied to a specific one but haven't found it so can't confirm).
  
  "The one that got away" I found on this page. It was night but not sure if it's a night fish.
  
  There is legendary fish tied to the Pokemon and Hearthstone realms.
  
  There is a 1x epic fish tied to the arcade (shallows), anywhere (Golden Gamefish), News/open surf (Kraken jr), hearthstone, and zelda realms
  
  A lot of rarer fish spawn only "at night". I'm guessing that starts around 8ish pm but I don't think Fluxflashor ever said what time exactly "night" is for the fish.

  Minerals:
  
  I have no clue where the legendary ones are (journal doesn't give hints like fish) but I got 2 of the epics pegged
  -Frostane comes from winter survival realm.
  -Hearthian comes from the Hearthstone realm
  
  I have not seen the 2 legendaries or missing 2 epics

  Wood:
  
  Most is found everywhere. The two exceptions are Frostow and Hearthbud; which are harvested in the Whiteout and Hearthstone realms respectively.

  Foraging:
  

  Almost all of it is found everywhere. The only exception is Hearthdew; which is found on the hearthstone realm

  Safety:
  
  When foraging in the pokemon realm do not go near anything bigger or more colorful then you. It will hurt and/or try to eat you. If it's living treat it with suspicion until you know it's safe. Good place for finding the village meat.
  
  When foraging in the whiteout realm remember to dress warm; frostbite can kill. Also don't feed the bears.
  
  When foraging in the Hearthstone realm no matter what the imp says don't eat the apple. It's a trap. There is a small inn ran by a dwarf named Hearth which gives the realm it's name which has amazing service.
  
  When foraging in the Clickbait Tycoon realm remember to bring Fluxflashor a coffee for doing such an amazing job on all this.

  I never caught legendary, but even rare lol. Plenty of epic jr. krakens, but no rares was a weird occurrence :o

  I don't know if you'll want to answer this, but should I save any resources for next month? At the end of August, I sold all my fish, and now I wish I had kept them to donate to the settlement.

  Resources are never going away and will always be obtainable so even if you use them now, you can always get them again. They will have a variety of uses over time, so if you want to stockpile now, stockpile away! If we have other donation drives for resources it could be beneficial to hang onto them for that reason alone. We will also be adding new types of resources over time though and so something new and shiny that comes out may only need things that are newer, to give everyone fair access to new items. Overall we need to see how things playout though over the next months to fully commit to a particular strategy. Whatever the strategy ends up being, you'll see it quite out in the open haha.

  The Any Fish contributes are a bit messed up because they are not correctly showing the rarity aspect to them; The intention is each one of these has a different rarity associated with it and I'm not sure why it's broken in production. I'll push a fix out for it later today once I get a chance to figure out what's going on.

  I just have a tab open while I'm doing other stuff, and I pop over to gather every 10 minutes or so. It's probably adding up to an unhealthy amount of screen time, but hey, this settlement ain't gonna build itself!
