I don't know much about Runeterra lore so I've been trying to read up. As near as I can tell after a half-hour of Googling:
Solari
- Official religion of the Targon region; publicly worship the sun, integrated into the government
- Pros: have Leona
- Cons: persecute all Lunari, seemingly for no other reason than "worshiping anything besides sun = unforgivable heresey"
Lunari
- Smaller group in Targon that worship the moon in secret / exile
- Pros: don't want to irradiate all other religions solely on principle
- Cons: have Diana
