Interesting, an instant Jinx level up, but an aggro deck doesn't want a value engine that costs 5..
so I am not sure about this card seems overcosted.. and random cards..? would be more powerful if it was copies of cards from your deck.
I think this is too weak as is.
Such a tragedy ... adding a new card type to the game, then releasing nothing but memes of that type.
Landmarks could have made the game interesting, but instead they decided to make it "wacky." Like that "wacky" uncle you really only want to see about twice a year.
@FortyDust
Yeah I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt with the Howling Abyss, but two meme Landmarks istoo far. Hopefully they change it to create copies of cards played that game, so that players can play around it a bit.
Card is called "University" but encourages hyper agro play and has better synergy with Jinx then Heimerdinger.
Flavor wise, it's the exact opposite of it was supposed to be.

Exactly! I expected a Landmark that would refill spell mana or something, this card is just weird meme randomness.
I don't think this card is that bad, you still draw your card every turn, so maybe it will find a home as a top end in an aggro/burn deck.
Will i be happy if it will see play? Not at all
Is this that bad though? I feel like this is actually playable. It reminds me of Aluneth, just a great draw engine when you're low on cards. I don't think Jinx would be alive by the time this discards your hand though but I still think drawing 3 random fleeting cards could be just really insane especially when they hit huge bodies late game. At worse, it'd just be a discard fodder and at best it'd just randomly win you games. At the very least, I like this as a control matchup tech. I'm hoping a bit that this won't be seeing that much play though (even if I like the card), this randomness could prove too much to handle. It'd be like playing against Nab decks all over again.
Take my words with a grain of salt. I'm unranked and only play casuals lmao.
This looks like a pure casino card. It doesn't specify what cards it generates. It just creates random cards. It sure is meant to be more of a meme than anything but this kind of card is pretty scary for a competitive environment. Not because it's broken or anything like that but because it can be frustrating for either player. This could be the Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron of Runeterra: strong enough to see play but not strong enough to be nerfed and frustrating for players all over the ladder.
"True mastery takes dedication."
If the cards were from your deck, this would landmark would be busted. If the cards were reduced mana cost, or perhaps if they were guaranteed 3 mana or less so you were less likely to get unplayable cards, then maybe. But there are a LOT of substandard cards this could generate, AND you always discard your hand. I'm not feeling this.
I'm almost certain that Star Spring is not a meme. It might take some work to figure out the optimal setup and region pairing, but I cannot see it failing to have a home. And The Howling Abyss would slot very nicely into the already-existing Warmother's deck as well - I did the math on that one in another thread, and it's actually got pretty good odds of not being bad (as long as your deck can "do nothing" on turn 7 and not die).
