  • Now this I like! When I saw Horrendous Growth, I thought "Cool idea, just not a good card." This is much more functional.

  • I feel like this is going to be in every Control Warlock deck, even corrupting it just once makes it pretty good.

  • This is pretty nice for slower Warlock decks and paves the way for Y'shaarj Control Warlock.  Even if you don't use Y'shaarj's 0 mana discount, having the 4 mana triple removal for later is excellent.

  • My Even Warlock deck just got a wish list card

  • Uncorrupted it's a 4 mana Assassinate, and if you play a few more expansive cards it's going to remove even more stuff. Seems pretty good, even uncorrupted. Seems like a good control/OTK warlock card, because those decks love removal. And Cascading Disaster is pretty good uncorrupted as well. It's not that hard to be in a situation where your opponent only has 1 threat on board.

Standard: I'm sure OTK Warlock and controllock will probably use it, however i feel like Cascading Disaster won't see play in warlock decks with Deck of Chaos, because the goal of that deck is to make as many as possible cards cheap...

Wild: this card might see play in Cubelock and renolock. Those decks have some expensive cards so it's easy to corrupt it.

  • I love it. It really isn't hard for a control warlock to hold a card in hand for multiple turns. And they have plenty of high cost cards to corrupt this with. Even if you don't end up corrupting this, you are only spending 1 extra mana for the effect. But I doubt you will ever find yourself destroying less than 2 minions with this card, at which point you are getting insane value. This will 100% see play and will probably become a control warlock staple in a lot of decks moving forward.

  • At least warlock has a lot of other spells, being a few AoE or other single removals you can maximixe what you really want to destroy.

  • Despite this being pretty good, the power of warlock board clears is such that I don't think this has any real chance of displacing any of them. It's looking like Y'shaarj is it for corrupt-matters effects, so I think that this just won't see play.

    Interesting card.

[Hearthstone Card (assasinste) Not Found] powercreep, and can be corrupted really easily on any slow warlocl deck.

That set looks like pushes slow meta.

  • For those that didn't watch the video, the story in the cards' art is good:

  • A strong removal card for Warlocks. Destroying one enemy minion isn't too bad depending on the board state, but its upgrades are quite strong.

Remember Dark Bargain? Upgraded once, it becomes Dark Bargain that costs 2 less mana and doesn't discard 2 cards.

  • I love it, awesome! A good option for board clears that are not  Plague of Flames related. However, the fact that it costs 4 mana makes it very awkward in practice, I mean, Warlock barely has any good cards it wants to run that cost 5 or more, mainly being its Shields and Nether Drakes, everything else is under. This could be fun as a Highlander card instead

  • I think this is pretty good and will see play in a control warlock deck. I love the corrupted upgrade artwork.

  • 4 mana destroy 3 random minions is bonkers good value.

And Warlocks are great at holding onto spells throughout the game if they need to.

  • Why are people comparing it to Assassinate instead of Deadly Shot? It destroys a random minion.

4 mana Deadly Shot* the target is random

  • Well it is certainly interesting but not sure what kind of control deck would really be there to run this.

  • Destroy one minion

    Destroy two minions

    Destroy tree minions

  • Good card for control Warlocks, but I find it really expensive to corrupt again and again. You'll need to spend 10 mana just to fully corrupt it, and you'll just be destroying three minions with it which I find lackluster. It probably won't matter since control decks play expensive cards anyway and it'll have other removal tools, and having a 4-mana removal is okay I guess, like having a discounted Assassinate

  • Nice control tool for warlock, and if the meta shifts more towards control after this expansion, this will be pretty great

True, but i kinda meant to say that's it's a cheaper Assassinate if your opponent only has one minion of board. But you did get me there, kinda forgot Deadly Shot. Deadly Shot is a way better comparison. Thanks for mentioning that!

  • Very good removal tool

  • Love the card, love the effect. But removal options have to either be consistent, or be powerful, or be cheap. Most importantly, they have to be ready on demand. This one fails the last point, as well as consistency.

On its own, its nearly worthless. Unlike other classes, handlock doesn't really play a lot of minions early on, so you don't get to improve your odds this card destroys the minions you want. Late game this is amazing. But on condition that you're not already dead, or are consistently able to both draw this and play your power turns well. I'm not exactly gushing, and this card will most likely be a choice discover rather than a card added on purpose.

  • I think this will be played quite a lot its sort of like surly mob or priest's Galakrond

  • Too slow, will probably not see play.

  • Deadly Shot that can be upgraded. Pretty good I'd say!

  • The effect lends itself best to the corrupt mechanic as you don't mind hanging onto removal until an ideal scenario. This combined with Tickatus makes for a powerful Y'Shaarj, the Defiler package in Warlock.

  • Seems kinda too strong

  • It seems okay when fully corrupted, but a bit underwhelming until then.

The kind of comments we deserve as a community xDDD

  • Control Warlock will like this card a lot.  I think it could see a lot of play but in a healthy way.  Reminds me of the rouge spellstone, but a lot easier to make better.

  • Easy inclusion for a Control Warlock deck - though it remains to be seen if we'll actually have one running around in the new meta.

  • Decent removal, and quite interesting that it can corrupt more than once

  • This card is what happened to the Card Review forums after they announced all the titles we could get for commenting on cards. It could be really good in slow Warlock decks as a cheaper pseudo-Twisting Nether.

  • Multiple corrupt mechanics is pretty exciting. I think this and one neutral card are the only ones that corrupt more than once. This will be a good card for many warlock decks.
