  • Why is this Warlock card for Priest? x_X

  • There aren't many comboes in priest.. also priest already excels at control matchups due to galakround..

vs aggro you don't want to pay hp..

need to be tested but doesn't seem too promising.

    • I want to see the Golden Animation already !!

  • This reminds me of [Hearthstone Card (Dragonqueen Alexstraza) Not Found] in that it is a high mana card that gives you two new cards for 0 mana. I also appreciate that this card does not have a keyword or deathrattle that makes it a good resurrect target, since I think we have had enough of that. All around I think this will be a fun, powerful card.

    • paying with health> paying with mana in most instances plus preist has alot of healing so this may be used in some control preist decks

  • I'm not entirely sure how this card will be used, but it's nice that they now have a way to damage themselves for [Hearthstone Card (Brittlebone) Not Found] Destroyer and Flesh Giant.  RIP my theories for Madame Lazul showing up this set though.

  • Was this supposed to be a Warlock card?

  • Weird flavor for a Priest card, health for mana has always been a Warlock thing...despite that, this mechanic seems like a good fit in Priest because of the class's access to more healing, so I guess this could see play.

That art looks f*cking sick though. I wouldn't mind unpacking a golden copy of this.

  • Hey completing Activate the Obelisk might be easier now. On a more serious note, unless you are facing hyper aggro this effect is super strong.

  • THIS? IN A CLASS THAT EXCEEDS IN HEALING? 50/5

  • Priest just got a TON of cost-reducing cards today. What will we do with them I wonder? No more Velen/Mindblast combo in standard, but I'm sure we can find something broken.

  • Why is the blood god/loa part of the priest class will be forever a mystery.

But is this good? I don't really know. On one hand, if you're playing the current iteration of control priest, the health cost instead of mana is only mildly annoying since all their cards are usually cheap. On the other hand, if you're playing a bunch of heavy stuff, then this card just bricks your hand.

For what its worth, it does draw cards. And for a class that can't draw for shit, drawing 2 cards which you can play immediately should not be underestimated.

Notably, priest pro zetalot doens't have an opinion either. So I guess this is something we'll have to actually playtest to find out.

  • Will probably be seen in some combos, but I'm quite unconvinced otherwise. I don't think mana is one of the things that Priests struggle with at the moment, so I don't see the effect as a massive bonus. Imagine drawing two board clears or something.

Then again, Standard Resurrect/Wall Priest might want mana-effiecient tempo swings...definitely an interesting card regardless.

  • I’m glad that Priests aren’t even trying to hide the fact that they are straight up eldritch abominations any more. Yes, this is very good for Priest, Priest will take all the card draw they can get (unfortunately)

  • Blood for the blood god... provided you didn't accidentally draw your other high-cost cards. Sure, it sounds fine to pay 9 health instead of mana for that Plague of Death, but that just means you're 9 health closer to being dead to Demon Hunter.

  • I'd be interested to know if the health cost persists to the next turn coz it doesn't state on the card "They cost health instead of mana this turn".

If it does, maybe all the mana reduction Priest is getting this expansion will reduce the amount of health you'd take

  • Looks pretty good - still think that some sort of Rezz Priest will emerge in standard again but this card wouldn't fit in there so maybe also some Control-ish Decks.

    • Quote From KANSAS

This reminds me of [Hearthstone Card (Dragonqueen Alexstraza) Not Found] in that it is a high mana card that gives you two new cards for 0 mana.

Same Thought with a few subtle differences:

      • Costs 1 mana less
      • You get 2 cards from your deck not randomly created
      • No condition to get the effect
      • Downside is you pay with health instead of mana

All in all, I think its a very good card.

  • Incredible card for priest. Priest has this giant weakness of not being able to profit from healing cards when their always on full health. And G'huun the Blood God fixes that problem. G'huun the Blood God works well with Activate the Obelisk, and it counts as draw. And draw is something priests often lack. Were gonna see lot's of G'huun the Blood Gods. (And plenty of them from Galakrond)

Standard: Fits well in control priest decks, and galakrond priest. Not sure if boring Ress priests are going to use it though.

Wild: If ress priests use G'huun the Blood God in standard, then ress/big priest might run it in wild as well. Raza priest probably doesn't want it, because they don't want to take too much damage.

  • A cool and creative card, although it suffers from the lack of a Scry mechanic to know what you'll draw so you may draw things that don't really work well with it. Although it is still draw nonetheless. You'll probably want to play this with a lot of high-Cost cards as a way to make it more likely that you'll draw something you actually want to draw with it, although then you take a lot more damage.

I'm not so sure about this one actually, but it'll definitely be experimented with.

  • Ah yes, the baseline for combo priests for the next year. Not amazing, but not terrible either. I somehow expect this to see more play in wild though, seems like an interesting card to add to Highlander Priest for extra free pings.

  • Not really sure what this would be used for besides free cards cant think of any priest archetype that revolves around two combo cards off the top of my head, but I'm sure its a good card and will see some play.

  • Wrong class!

Priest gets 2 good draw cards that set, i LOVE it!

  • Blood for the Blood God.  I think it's just a good card, nothing game-breaking, but able to use the damage from it better than warlock because priest has better healing.  Could even help in quest priest for self-damaging so you can heal back up.

  • This will see play in all decks. A bit slow, but it draws 2 cards that can be played immediately and that is worth it.

  • Note that the change is permanent not just for that one turn

  • Raza Priest doesn't have space for it. Maybe some other combo decks out there to pair with Polkelt or something.

  • This seems odd for priest. I guess if you had some good healing effects set up to recoup that cost this can work out.

  • A powerfull healing class having two cards from your deck at 0 mana? Finally Cho'gall has meet his final form.

  • This is an interesting card for priest and with the healing available to them the health cost isn't outlandish. Also the artwork is really cool.

  • Priest is going to be insufferable...

  • Once the combo with Lorekeeper Polkelt in Wild is figured out, I'll for sure be running that. In Standard, it's just pretty good value, so it probably sees play honestly.

  • Even though Priest has quite a few healing resources, the class doesn't want to voluntarily lose a good portion of health. I don't know what role G'huun the Blood God serves in Priest because they don't care about cheating out cards or discounts, they care about value. Also, considering how many Priest cards are situational, I imagine there are a good number of times where G'huun is just an 8 mana 8/8 that draws 2 cards since you don't want to play those cards. Overall, I think G'huun doesn't make too much sense in Priest as we know it today, but could find a place in a deck that cares more about the cheating cards out aspect of the battlecry.

  • Huge tempo swing potential, and the "blood" effect is permanent, which means you don't have to play those cards immediately (which might open up some combo possibilities that are otherwise impossible). It's a real good card.

  • Super strong, since it's so easy for Priest to heal back up anyway

  • Pain (Masochism) cards for priest?

It's very rare on flavor, but I think that on the mini expansion some kind of combo will rise with it.

Maybe something like, make damage to the enemy hero for every damage your hero take this turn, like Hidan if you got the reference, and then you can make a powerful heal.
