Obligatory video, it's unbelievable the quality of those videos they make.
Kazakus will be be really struggeling to find a deck.
Surprise post for sure, but a watchful one
The thing about Amazing LP is he really got the first word in his name absolutely bang on.
Amazing work as always from AmazingLP.
Ironically some cards like Inner Rage and Thoughtsteal will no longer be with us once Barrens is out.
I really like the watchpost cards, seems like there's a lot of shenanigans you can have simply by playing these cards out. Are they just a tad overpowered though? Play Mor'shan Watch Post out on an empty board and its nearly impossible to not get value, since most of the spell removal cards from standard are gone, and this card has 5 health.
Xyrella is just the kind of card priest really needs. Not being a spell means this card cannot be obtained from Sethekk Veilweaver, which is a little disappointing for priest players. But an option for board removal is always going to be welcome, now that most of the removal cards are gone. Will this make Desperate Prayer a playable card? I'm still doubtful, since Flash Heal exist, and will likely be the main activator of this card.
Depends on the meta, I think: if there is a lot of aggro, being able to clear one turn earlier could be very relevant and healing the opponent doesn't matter. For any other turn than turn 4, Flash Heal is better indeed.
If there is enough heal synergy, maybe both could be run, but then the limitation is probably Priest's ability to self-damage, which is not something the class naturally has, so they'd have to rely on Raise Dead and neutral cards like Pen Flinger.
Actually the viability of Desperate Prayer will likely be more dependent on whether you can damage your opponent. It just occurred to me that with desperate prayer, the AoE damage will be 10, assuming you heal both for 5. Considering that you only pay 4 mana for this swing, its kinda insane.
I still dont think priests will start jamming desperate prayer in their deck, though. But the option is certainly there.
Good point: I hadn't realized that when healing multiple targets, it will deal the sum of all healing. You could trade with a high-health minion, cast Circle of Healing, play Xyrella and likely wipe the opponent's board despite having just healed it.
I think Desperate Prayer will definitely see play.
Aside from Xyrella, Priest also has the Priest of An'she and Spirit Healer for healing/holy spell synergy, and Nazmani Bloodweaver to help with insane miracle combos.
Also even if you can't damage your opponent at all, healing for 5 with desperate prayer and then throwing out Xyrella is a 2 card, 4 mana Flamestrike, which should clear most boards.
Awesome reveal video!! I also love the two Post cards.
