  • I wouldn't see this in rogue, maybe warrior, but not too slow for rogue.

  • I've had enough of weapon rogue, please stop

  • When your goal is to make a giant Swinetusk Shank, buffs like this might be worthwhile.

  • Decent Rogue support, but may be in Warrior as well

  • It seems ok, and its nice to see a neutral weapon buff.

  • Set up some bulvark lethal

  • 4 mana 5/4 version of this saw some play, so in the right deck, this might get played too.

  • Ok card

  • reasonable good card in some archetypes ...

  • Too slow, but the pirates at least look rad!

  • Another addition to weapon archetypes. Gimme a break

  • Decent body, is a pirate, and does the whole Weapon thing that most Pirates love. I think, because this is Neutral, that it has a lot more chances to see play. Rogue and Warrior immediately come to mind, obviously, but Paladin, Hunter, and Shaman lurk as potential homes for it as well. Likely only going to see play in an aggressive deck.

  • I understand that the Pirate tag carries some weight, but...we literally just got Toxicologist in the Core set. I don't believe weapon damage will be that essential to run both of these.

Maybe Warrior likes it because of Menageirs shenanigans, but they probably have better Pirates

  • Classic pirate, not its time to shine imo.

  • Pretty good pirate, will see play in weapon/pirate decks.

  • Seems fine if you have important weapons to buff.

  • Might be good for pirate warrior in wild.

  • good

  • pirates will use this

  • meh

  • Solid card but 3 health is soso

  • Generally attack buffs are worse than durability buffs, but I guess if you already have a weapon with a ton of durability you could use this. It just seems so much worse than a lot of other weapon buffs currently available in standard.

  • Oh! Kingsbane rogue loves this!

  • oh man good tempo and weapon buffer cool

  • Great card, could even see play in menagerie warrior

  • Decent

  • Nice

  • good card, but one where i could just as easily see being left out of meta once all the key new archtypes settle

  • Seems alright? It'll probably be in decks this expansion, but get cut as soon as something better gets released in the future

  • Decent pirate, if there was a viable pirate archetype atm. Menagerie Warrior maybe?

  • ok

  • I'd rather play Toxicologist.

  • Seems pretty decent and playable in many things.

  • In a Pirate deck ok, but everywhere else this seems a bit weak

  • Some more kingsbane cancer

  • More neutral weapon buffs. They keep comin.

  • Seems decent but not sure if it can get a spot

  • Arena card for now.Could see play but we need some pirate synergie

  • Mandatory new Pirate for the flow of tribe tags over time - interesting effect, tho

  • Maybe a pirate or managerie warrior wants this.

  • Must synergize with both weapons and pirates to be relevant. Can see play in Wild.

  • I think in the new environment, getting a body along with the weapon buff will be important.

On a flavor note, I was wondering when we'd see mention of Ratchet. My personal theory was that we had not seen it because they were saving Ratchet for the mini-set. I guess it could still be that, but seeing this now makes me think maybe not. But come on, we're due for a new Gazlowe card, don't you think?

  • Naga Corsair for 1 less mana. Doubt it will see any play outside of Arena.

  • Might be a surprise against board control but I think weapon tech will keep it in check

  • Yarr! Your face will be hurtin' after seeing this lass.

  • good stats, will see play in pirate decks but probably not good enough to just include in weapon decks

  • Just seems ok, not overly powerful - means probably won't really find a home

  • really good with SSS or the new rogue weapon

  • Toxicologist 2.0, and weirdly it's in the core set.

  • Vanilla stats with upside... fine by me

  • Simple pirate with a simple effect.

  • o.O not what i like

    • Pirate. Warrior.

  • Decent Card for either Rogue or Warrior.

Pirate Decks will for sure use this.

  • Pirate.

Rogue and Warrior are happy about this. It's a baby version of Greenskin.

  • Good Pirate card.

  • pack filler nothing more

  • Well... Why not? Aggressive tool for Demon Hunters, Rogue or Warrior.

  • In weapon decks this is just good. In many ways I would prefer this over Vulpera Toxinblade, or just play them both in a very fast aggro weapon rogue deck.

Anything that buffs weapons will at some point see play, so don't give your hopes up.

  • Kinda weak

  • Not good enough even in aggro decks we have better weapon buffs.

  • I think +1 durability would've been stronger given the number of other attack buffs

  • Pirate aggro deck comeback anyone ?

Maybe pirate warrior can take profit of this. Rogue have better options.

  • good

  • This is a nice turn 3 play to follow up the Rogue hero power, but there's not enough Pirate synergy to make this all that good. Certainly marginally better than Toxicologist, but that isn't saying much.

  • Pirate warrior in wild has more toys to play with.

  • Seems ok which most likely won't be enough as it stands. Can't see it being played just for the Battlecry, it needs the Pirate support around it.

  • Good stats, good effect, its a pirate it will see plays. Maybe not is this expansion but they will surely push pirate archetype for warrior once in the year, and when the time will come, this will shine.

  • Nothing game-breaking, but pirate decks can use decent bodies and extra weapon damage.

  • Maybe in rogue, but otherwise...

Rogue played that monkey combo buffer, Cutthroat Buccaneer? I think this is a fine card, but I agree it's kinda... weird, since we'll get Toxicologist back at the same time.

  • Good aggro card

  • Nice stats and effect

  • Sounds more like a "pirate" Warrior card to me, than Rogue, but we´ll see.

  • Since Toxicologist is in the core set, this card isn't impressive...but can fit a spot in some Warior/Rouge aggressive deck

    • Agreed

  • This helps a potential Pirate Warrior curve with Bloodsail Deckhand into Fiery War Axe. I don't know if Pirate Warrior will have enough consistent tools to see play, but Ratchet Privateer certainly helps.

    • Decent weapon buff card since it has pretty good stats. Follows Rogue curve decently well too.

  • Rogues and warriors will run two.

  • Looks strong, might see some play in weapon Rogue decks

  • No clue what to do with this. Even in pirate decks. Just crap :(

  • AnonymousUser's Avatar

Bit too slow for aggro decks.

  • Auto include in weapon Rogue decks? Maybe in some warrior decks as well? I guess we'll have to see if any weapon decks are in play to know if this will have an impact.

  • value is not good enough. mb in some pirate decks if those exist

  • Rogue T2 HP, turn 3 Ratchet Privateer. As far as curves go, this looks really good, especially with the premium stats.

  • Very boring.

  • Gimme that doomhammer buff 🙃

  • just here for quilboar tuskaroons

  • Solid pirate. Definitely a good slot into a pirate warrior. Maybe a pirate rogue can get off the ground??

  • Actually a card with wild potential (pirate warrior) but 3 mana is expensive. Not sure about this one

  • Replacement for Captain Greenskin? Clearly worse because there's no durability buff, but you can use two. And Greenskin is going to Wild, so there's that. Still, you'll probably just want to use Toxicologist except in Pirate based decks.

  • Save privateer ratchet!

    Lol

  • Seems like solid support for both Weapon Rogue and Pirate/Weapon Warrior.

  • Probably not worth it in just any old deck with weapons, but if you're playing Pirates you're most likely playing this. Definitely in Rogue, maybe in Warrior.

  • Tharrr she be, matey!  Good stats, and a decent effect.  I don't see a reason not to run this in a weapon centric deck, and I imagine I'd throw it into most pirate decks, as well.

  • Not sure this will make the cut in weapon rogue.

  • Rogue or Warrior will find a good use for this.

Bit too slow. Seems like there are better options.

  • Weapon rogue likes

  • Feels more like a warrior card, seems too slow for rogue.

    Return of pirate warrior?
