  • Fireball but different and good

  • 6 damage for four mana seems good and none of the damage is wasted.

  • oh wow, that is actually pretty awesome. I like that Hunter finally gets to kill minions again.

    Perhaps not good enough for Midrange though because it doesn't really give you tempo, but it will be sweet against OTK Dh when you can use this to uno reverse them after they tried to heal up with Mo'arg (or you can just run double moarg in your own deck for the giga meme 23 damage burst)

  • Taking Marked Shot's place.  Granted it doesn't replace itself, but it can nuke a minion and blast the hero as well.  Not a bad idea

  • AMAZING card, will 100% see play in all kinda of Hunter decks. This obviously is Skill Kill Commands replacement, and thus will be used in any deck that also used Kill Command

  • Okay so I'm actually serious about this one now.

    Run double Mo'arg Artificer and a 1-health minion and you can deal 23 damage to the enemy hero with nothing they can do about it. Sure, it's not an OTK but I don't think most decks can easily stay above 23 health.

    Hunter even has draw for spell decks (even if it sucks). Maybe you can build a Spellhunter with Mo'args as flexible removal/finishing potential

  • Targeted Explosive Runes, really good, specially in hunter. It was mentioned in stream but it is interesting that you can target a 1/1 you have to deal 5.

  • Great value, and as Regis said: Its a nice replacement of former four cost hunter spells.

  • A more reliable Explosive Runes. Explosive Runes does see a fair amount of play, but it is really only played in secret decks since secrets can be tutored, played for 0 mana, help you summon beefier minions, and gives you more burn damage from Cloud Prince and Medivh's Valet. This doesn't do any of those things for you. I don't think it is a bad card, but it isn't anything crazy. 

  • Seems good. I would be surprised if this was weak. This fits into a hunter deck no matter what level of aggression they are going for.

  • this works for me as alternate to kill command.  a little more of a challenge, but solid card

  • Cool Hunter spell. Decent damage, with still some flexibility to push some face damage. 

  • It's decent! You can even use it one your own 1 health minion to deal 5 damage to enemy's face.

  • pretty good and flexible card. want to deal face damage? hit a 1 health minion. want to control more? hit a 6 health.

  • Could be solid removal for an aggressive Hunter deck. The price is a little on the expensive side, but not too much so. The most interesting thing to me is that this spell says, "deal 6 damage to A minion," not "an enemy minion," so people can definitely find lethal by shooting their own minions.

  • Such a beauty for Even Hunter. Maybe I'll use it on my own 1-Health.

    I sense some sneaky Mo'arg Artificer combo with Stitched Tracker in wild. Solid card overall.

  • Spell damage hunter incoming? I'm skeptical, but it would be so cool if it could happen.

    In any case, this seems like an auto-include 5-star card.

  • A good card, one of the best shot.

  • Now that Kill Command is gone, this is basically mandatory in all hunter decks.

    Your opponent can't even prevent it because you can just target your own minions to deal the correct amount of damage to your opponent.

  • This card will be in every Hunter deck until it rotates out. Will also see a ton of play in Arena and Wild. Easy 5 stars. Just a perfect fit for hunters.

  • Give Hunter a Fireball why don't you. This seems really good.

  • Hunter has had many 4-mana deal damage to thing throughout the game and they've all been different from one another and they've all had at least a bit of gameplay. I expect the same from Piercing Shot.

  • Hunter loses Kill Command, and get this beauty.

    1 more damage, 1 more mana. But if it kills a 1 health minion is still KC with an upside.

  • Why have to choose between trading and going face. Now do more

  • This is a useful removal/damage spell, so it will probably see play.

      I kinda want to see that happen and at the same time definitely wouldn't want to face one.

      I don't think it would be very consistent though as you can't waste your mo'args like in OTK DH since you can copy them, Hunters lack that ability.

  • Less flexible Fireball, but that's a good thing for class known for smORC.

  • very good spell, will see play cause it can remove a taunt and damage face at same time

      Dream is dead anyways. As someone on reddit pointed out, this doesn't actually work, because Mo'arg only affect the damage the minion takes, not the actualy damage dealt, meaning that even though you can shoot Thalnos for 27 the opponent will still just take 6 (+1 because spell damage).

      Probably for the better I guess

  • Explosive runes with custom targets lol

  • Obviously comparable to Fireball. I think this will become a staple of almost all hunter decks.

  • Easy 10 mana OTK: Talented Arcanist, 2x Mo'arg Artificer, then use Piercing Shot to deal 32 damage to a minion and excess to the enemy hero

  • Replace nicely kill command

  • Feeling bad about the Stormpike dwarf.

    I think thats he is the only mercenary taking the blow instead of making it

  • Too expensive if most of it doesn't hit face

  • Imagine minion with 1 health. Cool card to deal enemy damage

    • Explosive Runes but targetable. Seems pretty strong in some tempo or midrange deck, which Hunter typically pursues.

  • Wasn't impressed at the start, but the more I look at this card the more I realise it has potential to be crazy strong

  • This is a fantastic replacement for Hunter. A targeted explosive runes is pretty decent. Not to mention that you can target your own leper gnomes for extra fun.

  • It's not an alternative to Kill Command. Kill Command dealt easy face damage, and this does not. This doesn't seem like a bad card, but it's not a good one - was Marked Shot used in any constructed decks? Remember, unless you're putting your opponent in danger of dying, face damage means nothing. This card is really just a crappy 4-mana single-target removal, and most of the time nothing more. 

    I am totally on board for the Mo'Arg Artificer meme, though. In the words of Mr. Picard, make it so!

  • Maximum efficiency, great card 

    Curious if the damage is doubled by the demon that makes minions take double dam.. probably not

  • A Fireball that you don't feel bad about using on a minion. I think most Face Hunters will be running this.

  • Fantastic removal, and no damage is wasted. Hunter especially loves face damage.

  • Targetable Explosive Runes for 1 more mana. Considering how insane that card is in Wild even to this day this seems powerful enough to see play in Hunter decks.

  • I’d rather have this card than Fireball, but I’d rather have a Mage’s spell damage and synergies than a Hunter’s. So in practice, I think this will be just SLIGHTLY weaker than Fireball. (Which makes it a strong card.) 

  • Kind of a situational Fireball.  It's nice to see hunter getting more control cards.  Remember when control hunter was just a meme?

    Board control with no damage wasted on overkill.

      It doesn't work like that. Mo'arg Artificer only doubles the damage taken to the minion. It doesn't work like Lifesteal where it is calculated at the end of the damage interaction. You're welcome to try it with Explosive Runes since it's basically same exact card.

        That makes unfortunate sense. A shame, but at the same time probably a good thing because that could end up being a lot of damage out of nowhere. I still want to see if there's a way to do something silly with it, but at least I won't haveto craft another Artificer for it =P

  • OTK potential

  • I get the feeling this is like a one mana discount on Cobra Shot, which is nowhere near as good as Corrosive Breath in terms of cost. I just don't think Piercing Shot provides enough tempo to Hunter to warrant running it in your Hunter deck.
