What do you do on Out of Cards?

Hi, this might seem like a weird question but honestly what do you do on this great HS community site? I see like 886 pages of members (roughly 22K users) and on the first few pages it seems like there is a lot of activity going on, but it does not seem to translate directly to a lot of new posts being created when I look at the recent forum threads, articles or deck comments.
I will start off with myself, I visit OoC daily multiple times:
- to check on new announcements about HS obviously and participate in the discussion
- to post in a few dedicated forum threads (reward track progress and such)
- when I hit legend in a season to post my deck and if anyone is interested discuss about it
- sometimes I also participate in the fan creation competitions
What about you? 😅

I visit multiple times a day as well. It has become a habit. Primarily here for Hearthstone content, but I don't mind taking in some bits and pieces of different content every now and then. Oftentimes, it's just a quick scan to check if there are new articles (I'm expecting miniset news relatively soon) or interesting forum discussions. More often than not, the comments are more interesting than the articles themselves, so I'm often going back to articles I've already read just to read new comments. I think I'm somewhat of a familiar face around here, but I still only post when I feel like I can contribute to a discussion. I'm not really interested in sharing my opinion most of the time. It's been a while since I build a deck I'm really proud of, but whenever I do I upload the deck here as well.

I do very little on Out of Cards though I do check on the site daily.

I was going to post something, but it would just be this.
Quintessential Dad Legend player.
I use to drop by now and then. Mostly interested in HS news and the occasional MTGA post. I view myself as a rather passive user (a lot of reading and little posting), but that is because I am not that creative and only feel sharing my thoughts if i have the impression of being able to add something to the discussion (which is usually not the case).
English is not my native language, so please excuse occasional mistakes
I visit the site daily (on PC or mobile) to check for Hearthstone news and insights. I enjoy a lot of the article series, and I enjoy the forums, although I wish they were a bit more active. I am a serial up-voter on comments and tend to only add a comment of my own when I feel it would add to the discussion or underscore a point made by someone else.
Mostly reading news for me, and random comment here and there.
Usually most of my activity happens during the reveal season when we are getting hyped for the new set/mini-set.
I do a lot of what was listed, but I also scroll up and down on the main page when my opponent ropes.
Your face is already dead
I enter here daily, to see news of HS and LoR.
But i rarely post anything, cuz english is not my first language
i prefer OoC than the Brazilian sites of HS
I am a writer for the website, and I work with the team to bring good content to the site. My main specialty here in terms of content is writing the Fan Community Spotlight articles. I'm very involved with the FC side of the community as a whole.
A lot of reading news, occasionally posting a deck if I make one I think is fun and want to share, and occasionally getting involved in posts like this. But then I often delete my comment instead of posting because the thought creeps into my head, "No one cares what I think..."
I might also check in for some deck ideas if I am not sure what I want to play, or just getting frustrated with the deck I am playing currently. So you know... not much!
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
I usually visit the page several times a day since Hearthstone is my number 1 hobby right now. My main interest lies in HS News articles, the Weekly Card Design Competition and the Card Treasure Hunt. I also check for cool new deck ideas now and then.
I notice I am confused. Something I believe isn't true. How do I know what I think I know?

I usually visit once in the morning and right before I go to sleep to see if anything has happened for some night time reading. Unless work is slow (like right now) I’ll look to see if anything’s happening.
Twitch for those of you who care.
I visit the site every day, usually while I am playing hearthstone and waiting for my opponent to take their turn.
I read every thread and most articles Hearthstone related (I don't play any of the other games regularly). I comment when I feel like I have something valuable to say, and I also take part in the Weekly Card Design Competition (although I haven't been participating much this season).
I don't follow Esports, and I don't pay much attention to the decks on the site since I don't really enjoy playing decks I don't make myself. Though I occasionally look around for inspiration if I don't know what to play. I also don't post a lot of decks unless I have one that I have played with a lot and can provide insight on, or if I have a cool idea for a theory craft deck during reveal season.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
I'm the same as most guys here, regularly check for hearthstone news, memes and dreams/off meta articles etc and occasionally add my 5 cents to discussions. I'm a lot more active during the card reveal/seasonal/giveaway events (coz they that awesome! 🤩)
I find the OoC community very positive and you can see the staff and Flux put a lot of effort into the site
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
I usually visit this place once a day. (More if work is slow.) Generally reading the news for HS and LoR and checking the forums to see if there's any threads about those two games that interest me.
I don't post as much as I used to since most of the discussions I like to partake in are meta-related. I'm a filthy netdecking metaslave so card creations and such don't interest me all that much. And there aren't that many threads about the former over here.
Sure the forums can be a little slow at times. But then I look at this site's predecessor and see people whine about metas a day after balance changes were released and generally the most dumbest of takes and opinions and am once again reminded that it's better for my mental health to stay here.
I check the site multiple times a day. I get most excited for Hearthstone related news, especially during card reveal season. I like to participate in discussions about cards and game mechanics, see if other folks have noticed bugs I've encountered, and occasionally get deck ideas.
I wish there was more deck discussion. I've posted some decks in the past, seeking suggestions, but generally don't get many replies. I try to offer supportive comments on decks other people post. It feels like there are too many decks posted, and not enough interest in discussing them.
I thoroughly enjoy site-specific content like word searches and scavenger hunts. I can't wait for another snowball fight, or something similar!

I used to visit the site several times a day to check HS news and forum posts, I posted something sometimes. But nowadays I don't play card games often, so I only visit the site every few days to check for important HS news and updates.
The pleasure is mine.
My last standard decks: nothing special right now.
Honestly we could use a few more players in the [Game] Card Treasure Hunt. It's the most popular thread here for a reason yet we often don't have enough players.

Try and guess the riddle and if you solve it get the fun of making one of your own! It's fun to scroll through the pages and see how the riddles get solved slowly too.
Come and give it a look if you haven't for a while

Honestly, sometimes I wonder how this would go down, if Flux came to me asking this question lol:
So...yeah. Now it's background stuff on the site that you won't ever notice, like proof-reading articles and pointing out mistakes. Or complaining about Battlegrounds matches on Discord.
Personally i check Outof.cards a few times per day to check if there is any news/new articles about Hearthstone (Which is the only card game i play), and obviously to see if there are any new HS decks posted that seem interesting! After checking that i look at recent forum threads, read some and if i feel like it i comment in them. (And if i feel EXTREMELY salty i might post in the salt thread every once in a while..)
Obviously with every HS card reveal season i check Outof.Cards like every few hours and i comment on every new card revealed, and i often join in on discussions about those new cards! (Which helps expanding my English vocabulary sometimes, and of course getting better at writing in English.)
Oh and obviously i wait for new word searches, those are fun! :)
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Usually checking news, satisfying my social needs, sharing my shittiest decks for LoR mostly, sometimes for HS, gathering some information for fan creations of my own (There are some real brilliant minds), shitposting and being downvoted to hell sometimes, pissing on someone or something from time to time, so Simple human behaviours mostly but I can confess that I'm openning this site more than 5 times in a day. I hate e-sports and don't like to play with decks that i didn't build so I am probably missing almost half of the site's function but anyways, this site and community is still lovely.
I was hating to post on forums once upon a time and I was only a follower once this team was on pwn but they are like a little freaking blackholes who vacuums you into their social stuff; i loved em, started to post there and we moved here and I continued to post here too, I'm kinda addicted to it. I am leaving and returning from time to time but love these guys work really.

I'm similar to a lot of folks here:
Overall, I really like the atmosphere here and try to contribute to it in small ways when I can. A big thank you to Flux, the mods, and all of the users for making this a nice place to visit.
Amen!
Now:
- I look the HS news like 20 times a day (My only OCD)
- I post and crack some riddles in the Card Treasure Hunt
- I whine in the Salt thread.
- I awe at kaladin's posts. (quite entertaining and honestly, people shouldn't downvote him that much)
- I often submit something in the WCDC.
Papa Nurgle wants to share his gifts.
Ah yes, the advanced knowledge. That's totally what I have, why would I ever write so many posts if I didn't.
Anyway, I'm tinkering with a variety of things around the site but I guess most of the time I spend goes towards writing articles and trying to keep certain guides up-to-date. I also play the same two games than link and dump 100x the salt he does on the Discord he mentioned. I would certainly be one of the most frequent salt thread users had I chosen that as my outlet :D
Well, I visit this site numerous times a day, tho I only log in if I want to post/comment on something. I check the news page, then go to see the forums. I like our rewards track thread and get excited when someone posts their progress, or when someone makes a new thread, which is sadly, very sporadic. I sometimes make a thread myself about drops or new heroes/cardbacks in the shop, or things I don´t like for others to miss, or just ask a question which I can´t find the answer for. Most of the time I just reply in the other threads when someone asks a question and I think I have the answer, that could be helpful :D I like to check the most active thread the Card Treasure Hunt and even tho I´d love to participate, my english is not so good to get the references in the riddles, and even if I might guess the card right after a few hints, I wouldn´t be able to make a meaningfull riddle myself. I liked to read our salt and pepper threads too, but the first one not so much anymore because too much is too much. From time to time I post a deck for Tavern Brawls or Solo Heroic bosses if I have success with it, but I´m not very confident posting my own decks for Ranked, cause I´m not a good deckbuilder.
I love our little community here and I´m grateful to all of the staff and members to be so amazing helpful individuals, so one can feel welcomed here :)
EDIT: I´ve just realized that in few days I´ll have a 2 year anniversary since I´ve joined this site. Yay! :D
♡ u 4ever 2008 - 2022
in my free time from cards, I lie on the couch, smoke weed and watch various TV series or films
I check the site regular to look for news about hs en mercs, new topics to read or replies ;)
Also checking to see if there's a new "word search", i love that stuff.
I'm not online it's just your imagination
