  • Doomsayer has the major benefit of preventing your opponent from playing minions without spending additional resources.

    • Playing doomsayer alone to an empty board has the exact same effect, you are talking about the benefit of doomsayer himself. But you are right that the FN+D can still be more beneficial than the new combo if you want to stop your enemy from playing minions as your main priority. I assumed many people's main priority would be to clear the board (since you don't need to frost nova first if the board is clear anyway). Both situations are not guarrented however since it is way too easy to clear a doomsayer these days.

      Edit: Yeah sorry, I just understood what you meant, I think I misunderstood you and got confused. You meant Doomsayer has a reason to be played alone but Shattering Blast always needs a combo. Yeah you are absolutely right I didn't think about this.

        • Here's one tip if you want to improve yourself.

          Do not ask why you are being downvoted. People will automatically want to downvote you even more.

          This is an unspoken rule in any board/forum/Reddit.

          Basically, don't cry because of downvotes. Just accept that your opinion isn't popular and that maybe you are wrong and move on. 

          The most difficult part is accepting that you are wrong. Try it.

          • Yeah you are absolutely right. Easier said than done though. I think as I get older I seem to realise that younger people tend to take 2 seconds to decide if something is right or wrong while it took me like the past hour to ponder everything said and done. It feels like given how much time it took me to write a detailed review vs how short it is to dislike something, it really feels dishearthening. I'm not saying this is one of those times; but thats immidiately where my mind goes these days. Thank you for taking the time to respond. I appriciate it.

        • I can't confidently speak for those who downvoted your comment (I didn't, btw), but I personally only downvote comments if I disagree with an opinion and someone else has already fully explained my reasons for disagreeing (otherwise I'll comment instead of downvoting). It's not that I dislike the things I downvote; it's that I disagree with them.  Maybe that's where the downvotes are coming from? You definitely didn't say anything offensive or out of line, but I do think others make a good point in their responses. As has been pointed out, Frost Nova + Doomsayer has at least three major advantages: 1) it comes down one turn earlier, which is huge against aggro; 2) the individual cards of the combo are usable independently from the combo (whereas Shattering Blast is completely worthless unless it's combo'd with Freeze cards); and 3) it gives you initiative, which Frost Nova + Shattering Blast doesn't do unless you already have a board (which is unlikely in the burn/control decks that run such combos).

          • Thank you for your wise words, I like this sort of detailed explanations, it helps me as well as others who may be on the same boat as me. So thank you for taking the time to explain. You are right on all 3 accounts. I only considered one of these when writing so having the additional insight really helped, thanks.

        • I did not downvote you but your assumption that FN+D is dead is wrong. I do not play wild but FN+D is probably in nearly all situations better than this combo, which is even more expensive. Additionaly Doomsayer on its own is so much better than Shattering Blast

          • Ah that's right I didn't think of that. thank you for explaining and not being negative about it <3 I didn't understand people meant how doomsayer can have a reason to exist in your deck on it's own but Shattering Blast does not.

            I do realize there is added benefit to doomsayer by stoping your opponent to play anything if they fail to remove it essensially limiting your opponents play next turn. But I figured dispite the 1 additional mana cost clearing the board on your turn means you can take initiave with your excess mana on that turn, rather than risk the board clear on your opponents hand.

  • They made all these control cards for hunter...and none of them are even remotely playable. You can't do slower hunter because the class has no sustain, and hitting things with your face is only going to make that worse. I want these cards to be impactful but none of them will be at all.

    • Wait why? why would you imprison your own minion? Maiev is here to help win, not to add more trouble to you. Beside you have like 2 out 5 chance to get the good Dream cards.

  • Meh... The legendaries are pretty boring. The only card I really look forward to is the Taintheart Tormenter, it will be a cool addition to my Big Demon Hunter.
