Could be exceptional with C'Thun, the Shattered, or any shuffled spells in that regard. The problem is finding the place for this card, but I suppose there could be space for her, like in Control Warlock as a replacement of Malygos the Spellweaver, as you will guarantee the Soul Fragment.

Trash. If there is a spell I would want, I would put that in my deck over this. The no guarantee over what you get (unless you load your deck with every spell but the ones you want) makes this trash tier.
I don't believe it discovers a spell in your deck that didn't start there, just any collectible spell of your class that you didn't start with in your deck.
Seems really interesting, and i wonder how it works. Does it only targets spells IN YOUR DECK that didnt start there? if so then it's amazing with C'Thun, the Shattered. If it's any class spell, but excludes the ones that started in your deck, then it won't see play because everyone and their mother keeps using Venomous Scorpid.
Personally i really hope it's option #1, because that allows for some really fun/interesting deckbuilding. (And so i can use it in Tesspionage Rogue)
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
5/5, could slot this as is in Priest and get 2 MORE copies of Renew, Palm Reading, Soul Mirror...
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
Its bad. Basically any deck that plays for value would not purposefully not slot in key cards like Soul Mirror just so they can discover it later. The fact that the pool is so large also means you're essentially playing this card for a chance to do something unconventional, like getting a board clear option while playing a tempo decks etc.
The only application this card has is as a surprise bm option or to get a card which you are restricted from putting into your deck, which priest might want given that the new Darkbishop Benedictus practically bans holy spells from priest and you might want one. Or to get Deadly Shot, which nearly all hunters never play but might want.
But since this card doesn't do anything tempo wise, and essentially is about as niche as it can get, I won't count on seeing this panda girl anytime soon.
Scorpid is just better.
However I do like this card text. The idea of building your deck to try and target something outside of it is fun. Though impossible in wild.
Casual Dragon Cardgame enthusiast.
I kinda like this one. Discovering something that is defenitely not in your deck could help you out sometimes.
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
There are many spells you don't put in you deck because they are to situational. On the other hand these cards are often good to discover because you are in that specific situation. And limiting the spell pool to those situational spells may be good. But the math has to be checked.
Looks bad on the surface because naturally you don't want to only discover spells not good enough to put in your deck. However, this could be very key for the new Shadow Priest thing since you can consistently discover good spells that you weren't able to put in your deck. this also applies to any future Spell-school focussed build (hell, you can technically run this in Shaman right now)
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
My first thought was Why would I want a spell I didn't choose to begin with? Then I remembered the Dungeoneers that came out with the mini-set, plus the new Darkbishop Benedictus. Yes, this could be quite good.

C'thun calling
Well, I thought I understood what this card does, but now I actually start to wonder. I too hope this card has Tess Greymane synergy, but my first assumption of this card was the other explanation, making this only playable in Arena.
Arena > Wild > Standard
Wandmaker is an overall better card than this one, mostly because the body is slithly more impactul as a 2/2 and because the card you gain is usually a small but impactful card.
After Wandmaker rotates, Pandaren Importer can fill that slot as a 2 mana value generator, but for now, it's just an arena card.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
Is there an official explanation for what this card does?
On the first turns you will discover something specific and in later state could be an scorpid cousin.
Very interesting mechanic imho
I don't really get why you would want to throw away any chance at discovering extra copies of spells you did include.
As a control player I really dig this and as more expansion are avaible more "good" cards will have to be left over from the deck, so the pool won't be mostly the bad cards.
This feels like a priest card, a class with very powerful but very situational cards. Since very situational, most don't include those in the decks. This gives access to those (with a slightly higher chance since the pool excludes those that started in your deck).
It is inferior to Scorpid, so I don't see it replacing that. However, I can see a world where this ran along side it.
This is a pretty good card that comes out earlier than scorpid. Interesting effect that limits the amount of avaible spells. Could shine in Arena or later, after next rotation with more limited card generation.
Interesting way to avoid "going infinite" with certain insane spells. Might see play in the new shadow priest/Darkbishop Benedictus deck where you want to find some holy spells
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
It seems pretty mediocre. 1/3 discover a spell is pretty on par for 2 mana, and the restriction of only discovering something outside your deck doesn't feel terribly relevant. It's a decent card, I just don't know why you would play it over another card that's more consistent or, you know, Venomous Scorpid.
Actually, now that I think about it, it does feel kinda weird that they would introduce another 1/3 minion that discovers a spell while Venomous Scorpid is still so popular in standard.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
There are probably too many spells available to be able to force this card to give a desired set of options, but it leaves the door open for the a good chance at any tech or otherwise situational spells there may be. I like the flexibility along with the possibility that it totally whiffs. As an aside, I feel there is no way this card sees play in wild. Way too many dud options to pull from in that card pool. Last second thought, this has to be a spell from your class, right?
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
I can see this in shadow priest or something like that which is limited to certain schools like Shaman with dungeeoneer...

If you think this card is good have fun all the times it gives you 3 awful picks. Why do ppl think this is good with Cthun...? Nothing is good with Cthun.

I felt that - but thankfully a nerf came to address just that
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Decent card, but you'd rather just run Venomous Scorpid since this card guarantees that you won't get any of the cards that fit best into your deck.
Quest mage?
Interesting card at minimun. Will have to look for situational cards it can discover.
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
Shadow Priest yay!
Chumbawumba is the worst band name.
Worse than Venomous Scorpid IMO, at least the beast has poison and can trade with a minion. Unless it works with C'Thun, the Shattered but I doubt it does.
Not an amazing card, but it can net you some "tutoring" for something you want that you don't need to run in your deck... Still, almost every class has access to other Discover mechanics (even with neutrals), that are better.
Papa Nurgle wants to share his gifts.
Worse Scorpid. You only discover "bad" cards. I also do not see this in normal priest decks due to screwing up Raise Dead. Shadow Priest might want it though, to get access to certain holy spells.
can be useful in the priest questline
I am 69 years old and still reach Legend
A very interesting card, indeed. I can imagine it being added to some decks in order to bypass certain restrictions, such as discovering Holy spells as a Shadow Priest. Looking forward to testing out the possibilities!
I don't think this is ever worth running. If you didn't include a spell in your deck, why would you specifically want to Discover it? Why not just run a card that could Discover it, but can also get you cards good enough that you included them, like Venomous Scorpid?
