Is this deck Optimized?
So this is the first deck that I've built that I'm satisfied with. But I'm wondering if it's optimized.
Had Ava in, then removed her, then added her again, and I'm considering Hexcore Foundry
I'm thinking Sticky Whump can probably go.
The three key cards of the deck are Ballistic Bot , Puffcap Peddler, and Ambush (And I guess Ignition )
(Edit)
The purpose of Calculated Creations is to really make sure I get a Ballistic bot. And I don't mind having multiples. Practical Perfectionist serves a similar purpose, but it also helps me get the peddler, which I also don't mind having multiples of either. But there may be a better card for that, though I like having the effect come with a body I can block with. That's why I'm not running things like Conchologist. I'm not just looking for pure CA. I'm really aiming to draw specific cards.
The deck wins either with Peddler and Ava Achiever, or ambush + Ballistic bot, or a mix of both. Obviously, ballistic bot synergizes with the peddler.

- Sticky Whump is a good card to have against aggro so I would keep it.
- I would get rid of death ray in favor of mystic shot, that card is slow and tend to mess up your draw plus mystic can go to face.
- Calculated creation is also a card that I would get rid of having to spend 2 mana+the price of the unit is huge tempo loss. Maybe use Insider Knowledge for a bit of card draw or forcing your opponent to draw the shrooms?
- I would probably remove the perfectionist in favor of either Caitlyn or a Gnar both have great statline and quick attack which force your opponent into unfavorable trades and generate extra value with traps/pockey stick they also give your deck additional win cons on level up.
I'm going to assume that you don't really want to put in Caitlyn and try to make a Caitlyn trap deck (or an Ezreal Teemo deck) and try to focus on a Puffcap heavy deck instead.
Cards I'd cut:
Thermogenic Beam (1 - 2 copies) - It's usually not good to have this card as a 3 of. Hand gets really awkward when you have more than 1 Beam.
Death Ray - Mk 1 (3 copies) - Not a good card in general. If you want a deal 1 ping I'd say go for Pokey Stick/Group Shot.
Calculated Creations (2 copies) - Unless you specifically want the augment cards, I'd see no reason why you wouldn't want Conchologist, Loping Telescope, Ferros Financier over this.
Cards I'd run:
Mystic Shot - This card is good. 2-3 copies.
Pokey Stick - This card is good. 2-3 copies.
Conchologist - This card is pretty good especially in this deck. There are a lot of 3 cost or less spells in PnZ/BC that you'd want on different situations. 3 copies.
Aftershock - This card is pretty flexible in this meta. It can kill Gnar or at least force out a combat trick. It can destroy landmarks and this is probably too important to not run when you're a control deck. At least a 1-of.
Hexcore Foundry - This card is good in your deck. Unfortunately, it won't be best in all situations such as aggro matchups but in control matchups this card is too crucial to not run. 2-3 copies.
Minitee - If you really want to meme, this is theoretically Minitee's best deck. A slow control gameplan that is still able to hit face consistently. Running it as a 1-of is probably best.
Take my words with a grain of salt. I'm unranked and only play casuals lmao.
I agree with the suggestions that the other two people posted. I particularly like the idea of including Insider Knowledge.
And to respond to your specific comment - yes, Hexcore Foundry is VERY good in your deck.
Maybe I should have explaiend the deck's goal, as it may look like a regular teemo deck.

Death Ray - Mk 1 is a card I usually find sub-optimal, but it's there because it guarantees 3 activations of peddler, as well as triggering Ballistic bot. I considered mystic shot, but it has less synergy. Though there may be another card that would serve the same purpose which I missed. Pokey stick is absolutely a good card. But I would lose synergy.
And yes, this isn't a deck I would put Caitlyn in. Though I think Fenrir is right about Thermo. I got a bit paranoid about my opponent slamming a big beatsticks lol. 3 is indeed too much. I could try replacing it with aftershock.
It should be noted that I'm happy with Teemo either hitting twice, or hitting once leveled up. I don't care if he dies after, and I will happily use him as a spell.
Minitee is tempting lol. But I'm not sure it's optimal :)
Death Ray - Mk 1 is bad mainly because it isn't giving you better draws, and is usually considered to be bad if you don't have enough draws like Hexcore Foundry. That's why in general Pokey Stick is better just because it draws and can go face. If you're trying to draw your Ballistic Bots and Peddlers it's pretty bad to have more garbage to rummage through. You also already have too much 1 drops and that's generally not good because in the late game you are more likely to hit your 1 cost cards over something that'd be more impactful.
I think that if you're not going for full shrooms, having a bit of flexibility is better. You could probably cut Poison Dart and Stinky Whump for Conchologist and probably a Get Excited!. Get Excited is especially great when you have engines and also serves the purpose of dealing 3 to anything just like Aftershock.
Also if that's your gameplan, I'm a bit curious as to why you're not just running Pranks + Curious Shellfolk as well. You're going for Bandle City but you're not making full use of their value generating resources.

Given that this is your plan, you should probably be running Trinket Trade. It gives you a way to find things you might need. Heck, it can even find you an Ambush. But most importantly, that one card activates Ambush all by itself, for two mana, if you choose Otterpus and then play it.
