Unless there's more stuff behind that we're not seeing, this is one of the worst colossal minions so far. Not because of its stats and potential healing, because those certainly tick the boxes, but because its in a class that has absolutely no reason to ever want this in the deck.
Had this had a simple rush or taunt below its name, then there's still something in it. But the attacks are random, and only happens at the end of the turn, so this can easily clear a good 8/8 minion or crash its massive head into an Annoy-o-Tron, doing nothing whatsoever. Not to mention that despite its huge bulk, it can never realistically attack more than twice and not die, and even if it could courtesy of priest's healing, no one will ever let it survive more than the turn its played.
The sheer mundane description on this card and its legendary status makes me wonder if team5 is deliberately revealing this card first and then its OP support later. Because Ive not seen a legendary card this boring in priest for a long time.
"Had this had a simple rush or taunt below its name, then there's still something in it"
It has rush actually, but it's random and it's only useful against other control typed decks, but not against token decks. But considering that this heals you on the turn you're playing (except against divine shield targets) it can have some use tho. But it's obviously a bad ressurect target. And aggro decks hate this beefy boy, because they don't want you to get healed.
I'd say it's decent. Priest is known to have ways to cheat out big stuff so if that'S a feature then this is a strong defensive play. You also need to consider the context in which this is played. Priest has boardclears out the ass, you clear a wide board, usually your opponent will refill by going tall and then this is a good answer.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
This collosal seems really bad, which is unsurprising considering it's priest. There has to be more to this.
i can only see 2 scenarios where it might see play:
1. Priest needs the big removal desperately.
2. N'Zoth, God of the Deep is in the core set, AND if summoning an appendage also summons the main body. (Basicly if Behemoth's Lure is summoned it also summons Blackwater Behemoth) If this interaction does not work i dont see it getting played in any kind of ress deck.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Hmm ... looks decent!
Nice defensive tool but not sure if priest will need this card in their decks ... lets wait and see what the expansion and core set will bring and maybe this will be better than expected.
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
I like the idea. I either want a way to trigger that eot effect multiple timed or somehow make the behemoth immune/shielded for that hit. Otherwise rag is better if it hits a minion as it doesn't get hurt. Healing can be real hit or miss.
I do appreciate that it poisons your respool with the lure though or else it could get annoying in a resurrection focused deck.
Casual Dragon Cardgame enthusiast.
If this awful thing had taunt it would be a really scary thing
Well, the lure looks really easy to kill. My first thought was Hysteria, but actually thinking about it, I'm struggling to find anything it has in common. If you can protect the lure, on the other hand...
I don't know, it feels like Abominable Lieutenant is just better, especially against big minions. The best thing this minion has going for it is that it "eats" (but not really) an enemy minion and heals for 8 the turn it comes down. 8 is a lot, but if you're depending on this to stabilize you against aggressive decks you should just keep wishing. I like it, I'm just not sure it's going to have the impact the Colossal keyword implies.
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
You are certainly right that this doesn't fit Resurrect priest, as you'd also risk diluting your rez-pool with the lure by itself, but this being said, it still has potential in a minion base/tempo deck, where you could swing the game around with? It isn't the strongest colossal minion, but it isn't weak either.
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
I honestly would rather have a Lifesteal Rush minion rather than this.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
Probably the least exciting Colossal for me. Guess it can fit into a Control Priest or Reno Priest but it's nothing really exciting
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Really strong anti aggro tool, but Priest already has plenty of those. It'll be hard for this to earn a spot in any deck.
