At empty hand it costs 9 mana but gives you 10 spells. With 9 other cards in hand it costs 0 mana but gives you only 1 spell. With 5 other cards it costs 4 mana and gives you 5 spells, etc. Nice way to refill a hand, but it really shines in thief rogue. With Swiftscale Trickster you can cast it for free and get fuel for thief synergy.
What's the most powerful card in Hearthstone?
A credit card.
Haven't really tried out the card myself, and by the looks of it Im not missing anything. Currently on hsreplay this card is pulling low play win rates, and horrible mulligan win rates (which is obviously unsurprising). Basically thief rogue is the best fit for this card, both because you can cheat it out with Swiftscale Trickster, or cheat out an expensive spell should you get one.
But in all honestly, this is a card I dont need to try to know it sucks. The problem with this card is simple; it does absolutely nothing and is a gamble for success. If you get a few cheap spells or freeze effects with this card you might mitigate its horrible cost, and if you get anything unplayable (like Sigil of Reckoning) then it just bricks your hand. You can play this cheaply should your hand be big enough, but then youre getting less spells and at some point we might as well be asking why not just play Venomous Scorpid, or anything else for that matter.
The only way this card even sees remotely any play is that you can cheat it out, or if the pool is small enough that you'll likely get something good most of the time. But Im highly unoptimistic, because with the advent of DKs the spell pool is not only large its also cluttered with cards you dont have synergies with (corpses, etc.).
One good niche it does have is that it fills your hand. So this is just an effective immunity against curses, bombs, or draw effects. But this is beyond the realms of desperation, that its included into the deck simply to counter such archetypes.
A Hearthstone milestone. Not sure where the right hand-size/mana cost balance point is, maybe 4 mana/5 cards, but I recall Cyclone Mage being really popular, so this might be good. Yeah, that's the most recent 'fill hand with random cards' archetype I can think of without making the effort to look anything up.
I'm assuming we'd also get any DK cards, even the ones with runes on them? Also keep in mind that the April standard rotation will reduce the card pool so The Sunwell could end up like a 2nd Deck of Lunacy. Luckily the only mana cheating is the spell's initial cost which is balanced by the reduction in value.
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
I like the concept and design, but have yet to have an enjoyable outcome from me.
My opponents seem to magically generate anything they need to get out of a thigh spot tho ..!
Consistently inconsistent!!
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Rating this 5/5 stars, just because it lets me play Casino in every class. Also its very inconsistant right now, which is how random generation cards SHOULD be. And in next expansion releases you might randomly get DK spells that require Corpses, which means there will be even more bad cards to hit. (Unless those wont be in the pool) I really like this spell.
However after rotation, this might become a menace by becoming Deck of Lunacy version 2.... Random generation + smaller card pools is very scary.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Funny meme from spell discovery but nothing more. Better than another Renathal I guess....
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Nice meme card which really shines in Thief Rogue when played via with Swiftscale Trickster. Also works well in Ramp Druid after Wildheart Guff has been played.
Enjoying this card a lot in thief Rogue. Espeically with Knights in the Core set. Using Lilian Voss to reroll the spells is quite fun.
Great fun neutral spell.
Casual Dragon Cardgame enthusiast.
Fun card, but that's the extent of it's power. Don't expect it to be metabreaking ever.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
Loving this spell so far. Yes, it's random, but also very versatile!
