This is a nice looking tutor. It curves out into [Hearthstone Card (Galakrond) Not Found] as well, so you can play the pair on curve. Seems staple in those decks.
If I'm correct then "a Devastation" means you can discover one of these effects:
- Summon an 8/8 taunt;
- Deal 5 damage to all minions;
- Give your minions +2/+2;
- Deal 5 damage to the enemy hero and heal your hero for 5.

The mechanic reminds me very much of Kalimos, Primal Lord, with the opportunity to discover 1 of 4 op effects.
Also a bit like Zephrys the Great and its relationship with the class highlander cards - if you want to play your sexy new Galakrond cards optimally, you need to spend 1600 dust on this.

Well! After giving out free Galakronds, they had to rope us into spending our dust on something, I see. Just as they did with Twin Emperor Vek'lor for C'Thun.
That said, there's no way that I won't be crafting this. It's useful at all points in the game, it's got a great effect, and the stats are nice. Plus that jawline! So manly and chiseled that it's got spikes in it, yeehaw.

This is definitely the kind of support card that will help the good Galakronds (Warrior and Rogue) be amazing and the mediocre ones (Warlock and Priest) be perhaps more playable. Tons of value on its own, BUT like highlander cards will be over-the-top fantastic with any kind of shuffle/bounce mechanic where you can get more than one play out of it.
Oh, look, musthave leg for all Galakrond decks like Vek Lor was. Nice 1600 dust min.
But if we talking about leg, pretty good, almost OP level good.
Kronx Dragonhoof feels like an obvious 5 star card. It's almost vanilla stats, it draws your win condition in a Galakrond deck, and its devastation effects are all great. The only way this card isn't spectacular is if every Galakrond deck is bad, but given how many classes get Galakrond, it's highly likely that at least one Galakrond archetype will be competitive.
Card is insane. Imagine you copy this with Baleful Banker or something similar. You could play it, draw Galakrond, replay it, etc.
Card is sick, you probably save it for the devastation effect, deal 5 heal 5 is probably the weakest but still very useful and the other 3 are just nuts. I was having doubts about Galakrond but this is anther reason you play those decks.
Obviously a staple in any Galakrond deck, with the above comparisons to Twin Emperor Vek'lor being astute.
I'm interested in how the decision making process will play out when you have drawn both Kronx and Galakrond, but have not invoked enough times to want to play Galakrond yet. Especially in priest if there isn't anything worth using Galakrond's battlecry to kill.

If Galakrond see play this definitely will be an autoinclude, strong enough that it might even be what carries the deck

Btw this card looks like Zephyrs 2.0. You pick one of these effects 80% of the time when playing Zephyrs.

Welp, this is pretty nuts. A Galakrond tutor alone is already strong, especially for something like Rogue or Warrior where you want to play him on curve if possible.
but damn, that secondary effect. Now I'm worried Galakrond decks will turn out a bit too strong....but maybe I'm underestimating how much you'll have to commit to the invokers.

Absolutely bonkers. I was already going to try out Galakrond Warrior; now I'm even more incentivized. Unless all of the Galakronds turn out to be trash, you WILL see this card around.
This card is pretty insane. Someone please correct me on this if I ma wrong but I am pretty sure you will be able to discover the devastation you want to unleash. This sort of gives him a similar role to Zephrys the Great, do you want lethal? do you want a board clear? do you want a bigger board? Kronx Dragonhoof can do so much, and he is also able to tutor our Galakrond, so you can play Kronx on turn 6, then Galakrond on the very next turn.
Without a doubt this card will be played in every deck using Galakrond, and this is also another great reason to want to play galakrond decks.

Awesome tutor and it even does not lose it's usefulness if you have already drew Galakrond. A must for every Galakrond deck.

Doesn't have the power level of Zephrys the Great but its really near, he can give you face damage, heal, board buff, board clear and big taunt body... Simply OP.

I kind of hate this card. I mean its good don't get me wrong, but it does something that I don't think the game needs. I mean its kind of like a C'Thun enabler but with a bunch of upside if you're already played your game winning card. I guess the second half of this might not be that important if you are thinking that the majority of the time once you resolve Galakrond you probably win. That said, its a crazy card that does something strong no matter how you play it. As having a second copy of Galakrond that also fits perfectly into your curve seems goofy.
To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of the women.
This card is just insane. All 4 Devastation effects are strong and flexible. Drawing Galakrond in a Galakrond deck is a no brainer. If there is a competitive Galakrond deck, this card will see play.
I just hope that Galakrond decks don't end up being an "add all the good Galakrond/invoke cards" since this card is an auto include for those decks. I don't want a repete of C'Thun decks with Twin Emperor Vek'lor. Those decks ended being rather stale to make since the neutral C'thun cards were all about buffing C'thun and the class cards supporting C'thun didn't add much to your strategy except for Hooded Acolyte, Usher of Souls and Cult Sorcerer that did try but ended up not having enough support to change the tempo style of C'thun decks.
Either way, this card is amazing and we should still have a bunch of invoke cards to be revealed that can make Galakrond decks more creative.

This card is offensively good. It's exactly what Galakrond decks needed and if I don't pull it I'm crafting. Golden. Because this Badass Tauren deserves the best.

If you've seen me around the forums you'll know I hate the idea of an "auto include" card in any deck but I think this is one if you're running galakrond in any deck. Very good effect and the ability to tutor galakrond is just as strong c'thun didnt even get something like that. Crazy.

Well, I don't see any reason to not run this guy he's like that genie mixed with a tutor that curves. This card seems way too powerful and I feel it will definitely be nerfed or tweaked some time into the expansion if anyone is going to be a day 1 craft I think it's going to be this guy

This is a Zephrys-level card for DoD. Obviously not as strong as Zephrys, but man this is powerful. Galakrond decks will clearly be viable now.
Great card, 6 mana 6/6 draw your win condition and if you already drew it get a really good effect of your choise.
how does this work with shudderwock? will it always proc the one you picked or is it random?
I really wanna try out Tempo Rogue now, with Galakrond and this guy as the finisher with Shadowstep. Seems like a very strong card. I'm curious about the Shaman version as well.
I like this card. May be busted though. Obviously time will tell but it's going to be an auto craft if I don't open it. Sweet card art. If I got this golden I'll be fairly happy.
Auto include in Gaklarond decks!
For any Galakrond deck that ultimately turns out to be viable, this card must surely be an auto-include.

Absolutely bananas. Either tutor the main card you built your deck for or at worst a 6 mana 6/6+8/8 with taunt is nothing to sneeze at.
OP card for galakrond decks! 6/6 draw galakrond is very good. But unleashing devastation in so crazy, that I barely can stand... And those four cards cost 0 mana... Better league of explorers beware
This is an auto-craft card for me. I don't see any Galakrond decks being even remotely effective without this.

I know which Legendary to craft. Synergizes with the free Galakronds and ridiculous summons to boot.
Here we have the Dr.6 of this expansion..a choice for each situation..6 cost for 6/6 which is fair PLUS getting the Galakrond IF you do not have it already..
So this is the Twin Emperor 2.0 for Galakrond, but even more insane because of the tempo swing AND can tutor otherwise.
A must-craft for the majority of players. Galakrond decks will likely succeed, this will add necessary consistency which C'thun decks lacked, and has no downside. I sense hard times for classes that don't have access to Galakrond.
Goodness gracious, this is absolutely bonkers strong. Auto-include in every single deck that has Galakrond in it. And the curve! Is it just me, or do I feel an insane power creep coming on?
If Devastation works like a discover so we got a "must include" card for almost any Galakrond deck. That's what we were sometimes lack with the Old Gods - a way to draw it directly when we need it. Very like the card and the art especially. If we are entering a Galakrond era we'll see this card on ladder a lot.
Nice support for galakrond decks. Way better when you are already in galakrond form, but also curves well into it.

This card is just insanely strong . All of the devastations except for Reanimation are simply insane . Aaand last but not least : in rogue you can get a 0 mana pyroblast with the spirit of the shark
Ancient Harbinger was the tutor for old gods, but was so weak and inconsistent to be an auto-include like Kronx Dragonhoof.

Well this kind of makes up for the tempo loss of playing invoke cards but I would prefer the invoke effects to be stronger rather than 2 super charged legendaries. Specially since this is auto include in any galakrond deck(note:both warrior and warrior galakrond dig for this minion when played).
Must-craft, 5 stars, Reno Galakrond decks just got a lot better. Any Galakrond decks, actually. But expecially Reno ones.

This card is super strong, it tutors the card which your deck it's build around.
And if you have already played the hero card, it let's you choose some very powerful effects.

Amazing card for Galakrond decks. It is unfortuante that not all classes will get a Galakrond, but hopefully they will get options to keep the game balanced.

And then comes the other question... why even lament over this? Just bounce him a couple of times or shuffle 14 of him into your deck with Togwaggle’s Scheme and devastate all over your opponent’s grave

Are we sure "unleash a devastation" means you get to discover it? Vague wording strikes again!
From the card text it's equally possible that you get one of these effects at random or that the effect is tied to your class of Galakrond (for example warlock always gets the +2/+2, priest always gets the Holy Fire, etc.).
If it does work as a discover effect, that's obviously a lot more powerful, but they really should have worded it better. "Discover and cast a devastation" would've fit in the text box just fine.

I liked the wording although it is a bit complicated tbh. It is like "Teach 2 spells to it" of Swampqueen Hagatha. I like texts like this in this kind of games tbh. It is a digital card game, not a physical card game and you can always clarify things with pop-ups or sth like that. If that was a physical card game i can understand all of the whines about consistency of texts in hearthstone but I find them a bit pointless. Game already automatically do the effects for you. You don't need to make it work like in a physical card game. This kind of inconsistency is fair enough for a digital game tbh.

This will work like a fusion between Ancient Harbinger during the old gods expansion, and Kalimos, Primal Lord, which is insane.
The ability to give a board clear or heal to 5/9 classes seems dangerous, and right now I am hopping that the shaman Galakrond is terrible, because we still have that funny little shaman quest hangging around!
I even dare say that Galakrond decks will arise not due to Galakrond but due to this card.

Thanks for clarifying. As for the idea that vague wording isn't a problem: it's less of a concern than paper card games, sure, but it's still a negative. if you have two cards, one which is intelligible from the card text and one that has to be played in order for a player to get what it does, the latter is clearly worse from a card formatting perspective.
And to be clear, I get that there are cases where they can't spell out exactly what a card does, what all the options are, etc. But I get the sense that they're not even trying with this set. The Galakronds are all horribly formatted, so is mr. Galakrond enabler here and there have been an additional 3-4 cards revealed so far that are unintelligibly or ambiguously worded. They absolutely could have fit the word "discover" into Kronx' text box.
I can understand your concerns but what I'm trying to say is that "Unleash a Devastation" is funnier than, "Discover a Devastation. Cast it". Also In my opinion, it doesn't even mislead because if it was random, they can easily word it like "Unleash a random Devastation." but they worded it as "Unleash a devastation."
Also Discover mechanic always gives you 3 options. This kind of cards, (see Kalimos, Primal Lord) gives you 4 options. When you consider there is a card as Kalimos, Primal Lord, Kronx Dragonhoof can even be counted consistent. "Unleash" word is used here instead of "Cast" and in my opinion, it gives the same meaning.
I have meant pop-ups that gives some information by saying "you can understand what card does by playing". That was not actual play what I meant.
I meant that; In collection, they might create a pop-up system that shows what card does, What tokens are given when you play it etc. But you're right. Blizzard have never been so new player friendly at past. Noone has to follow pages like this or noone has to check the reveals all the time. The game must give all of the information about a card when you open it and playing it without checking web for information about the game and truth is, We can't see the tokens that Kalimos, Primal Lord can cast by checking the collection and I'm sure we will not be able to see for this card either. The pop-ups should ("must" in my opinion) be in the game. Maybe you can say that the programming system of hearthstone doesn't let it. But;
In past, I have opened a thread here, that was about more deck slots and people defended Blizzard by telling me that Hearthstone's programming system doesn't let them do, doesn't let them create new UI or sth like that. After that we saw Battlegrounds and how they can actually build around the UI. So noone can defend Blizzard anymore after that battlegrounds UI. So that means, they are able to do that pop-ups I called above.
Anyways, the topic brings me the place I don't want to discuss right now. I just wanted to say that card seems consistent to me when I see Kalimos, Primal Lord in existence.

I think this singlehandedly makes Galakrond decks viable. A tutor + an Elemental Evocation effect in one card is insane. The Devastation options are really good also; classes with limited board clears now have one more option (Rogue), classes with limited board buffs now are able to buff (Warrior), etc. Of course it's limited to Galakrond decks which stifles it a bit, but it's still insane nonetheless.

I mean to get the Devastations, you need to have played Galakrond already, so unless you’re planning on holding onto the quest until after you’ve drawn and played a one of in your deck, you’re out of luck on double battlecries for him

I am not a big fan of neutral legendaries that automatically don´t go into some classes, but this card is definitely very strong. It´s never bad, it either draws you your win condition or it plays a very strong effect.
Well this guy just pushes the potential of every Galakrond deck over the edge.
Absolutely insane that you get to choose the effect, makes sense I guess but oh boy are they all extremely powerful. So much versatility with this card, and I also really like how he is designed in a way in which he isn't ever a dead card. All to often these "draw X" cards end up useless, although with Kronx, I can see you wanting to use him after becoming Galakrond rather than wanting to draw him - this will obviously depend on a game by game basis, but I think it will be the preferred way of playing Kronx.
Auto craft day one along with Dragonqueen Alexstrasza , versatile effect that may make Galakrond decks worth it.
Any Galakrond deck would be empty without this card, this is probably going to be a must craft.

Auto-include in all Galarok's decks. Really strong card with a double effect: tutor or really strong battlecry. Other that there isn't any downside. Solid 5 stard
As always, We have a forced archetype that might not work and the overpowered activator of it near it.
This is the only card which will be in almost all the decks at start because of free Galakronds.
At least 2-3 meta decks will include this. That's sad that we can already say that. I always prefer unpredictable metas before they start but it is blizzard's reality.

Zephrys's E.V.I.L. brother from another mother. Could be the card that makes Galakrond as a concept too powerful.
A very strong support card for Galakrond decks. Both the tutor effect and the devastations have a lot of value, and the stats are also good for a 6 mana minion.
Another day 1 craft! This makes all the galakrond decks wayyyy more viable, and they already looked fairly good.
Hugely powerful legendary. Specifically draws you Galakrond for an on-curve follow-up play on turn 7. If you already drew Galakrond, then you get a powerful Devastation effect instead. Even is stats are excellent. There’s literally no downside to adding this card. So long as Galakrond is good enough to put into a deck, so is Kronx.

A must have for all Galakrond decks. Definitely more value after turning into Galakrond, but drawing Galakrond itself is not bad in the first place.
Makes the Galakrond decks very good. The devastation's are amazing. You can play it to clear the board, to buff your minions, to stall or for direct damage that heals you. If you're going for a Galakrond Deck, he's your man.
Card for people who question power of Galakrond. Power level of this card is ridiculous.
