I am in charge now!...oh wait... Yaharrr! Pirate warrior gets a draw weapon? I guess it's good, but in standard it's crap.
Pirate Warrior never had sufficient card draw, so this might make it viable again.

Could've been a rare. Good draw engine though
waste of a good and playable legendary, disappointing.
Wow, never expected a legendary weapon this expansion...insane.
Pirate Warrior in Wild just got a good card draw tool. I don't think this will see much play in Standard, unless they release some new pirates in the upcoming expansions...
So only Warrior gets a Legendary weapon right? Good card for Aggro (Pirate?) Warrior.
Well Pirate Warrior is currently non existent but even if there was a good pirate deck I don't know how good this weapon would be. 2/3 stats are worth 2 mana so you are paying 1 mana for draw 3 but split for 3 turns which is kinda slow for a pirate deck. It would be interesting to see how will this weapon perform in wild where pirate warrior is good
Pirate warrior is going to need something like a Bloodsail Cultist to become a viable deck. It was the synergy between cheap pirates and weapons that made the old deck powerful.
For standard there likely isn't going to be enough pirate synergy to make this weapon work. Maybe in a pirate tempo hybrid that runs Galakrond, the Unbreakable, but the current pool of pirate minions may not be enough to justify it.
Should be great for Arena and Wild, decent stats for such a powerful effect and it isn't too unlikely to draft a couple pirates.
Well, at least sky pirates sound fun in theory- alas, in praxis it sucks to play against any pirate warrior.
waiting for more pirates to come
Good weapon, but slow for the pace of old PW.
This hints at a slower iteration of Pirate Warrior.
Right now in there arent any good pirates for warrior in standard. Maybe there is hope in the future, but at the moment this card seems totally irrelevant.
Never netdeck, craft Whizbang instead!
fear the comeback of pirate meta in wild
This is a totally bizarre nod to the wild meta. Maybe they were afraid that giving Warriors a good standard card would make them too powerful for this expac, so they threw a bone to the wild warrior players?
Don't think it'll see play in standard, however in Wild it's another thing. May be just what pirate warrior needs.
Bit weird to see this now, since pirates haven’t been that great for a little while. Wonder if this means we’ll be seeing some more pirates later on this expansion.
As for the card itself, tutoring 3 sounds great on paper, and pirates as a tribe thrive on this kind of added fuel. Not entirely sure the pirates are gonna be good enough though, they might be what drags the deck down
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
Excellent weapon for pirate warrior
-=alfi=-
Pirate Warrior was the next deck I intended to craft in wild, so I won't be sad if I should get this from my packs :) from what I know of the deck, it surely lacks draw.
I notice I am confused. Something I believe isn't true. How do I know what I think I know?

Nice draw engine if we get invoke pirates too Galakrond pirate warrior can be fun. Dont think it will happen but we will see
Why would they even print this now? You can slot it in pirate warrior in wild I guess, but I don't see this existing in standard unless they print more warrior pirates this expansion. Even then I don't think it will be relevant at all.
Legendary weapon? ughhh .. In standard isn't that good, but certainlly will see play in wild pirate warrior.
I'm sorry for my bad english :)
Seems like a great card - 3 mana draw 3 along with Warrior quest synergy. Could make for a sweet Pirate Tempo warrior.
For standard it clearly seems like a set up for a future expansion, when they might add more pirate synergy. In wild it might help pirate warrior to pull the class out of the bottom tier. We'll see. Maybe I should re-craft patches?
Legendary weapon huh? Now there's no way there won't be at least 3 warrior pirates and probably 2 neutral ones to support it.
This expansion seems to push Warrior to a more aggresive gameplay and this card will fit right in. It also cures a common weakness with aggro decks: draw. And a tutored draw is even better.
It brings a lot of horrible memories back but the card in the standard format will probably not be that influential unless the rest of the cards that they will reveal for warrior will be good pirates
3 stars
Pirates like to play weapons, and draw is always good. This is an auto-include in all pirate decks, but the question is, how good will pirates be?
This will without a doubt help pirates to be more playable, but is it enough to make them competitive? Whether or not this card is playable depends solely on whether or not it is the right kind of meta to be playing pirates.
Or maybe there will be some combo that requires pirates or maybe you just want a way to tutor Nightmare Amalgam.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
it's good and all, but WArrior doesn't really have any Pirate in Standard and I can't think of any Neutral ones they are desperate to use (Greenskin, maybe Amalgam for a Dragon hybrid?)
The main problem I see is that Warrior doesn't have any weapon tutors anymore so running a single weapon as a draw engine doesn't seem that good to me.
I guess it's good for Wild
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
this set is all over the place. pirate warrior in standard? i think rogue would love this weapon
I really the design of it and the surprise of another legendary weapon. At the moment, toy for wild players, it will be interesting to see if pirate warrior can make a return. It has future potential too. I would be happy to get this and try it out.
This largely depends on what pirates will be available to Warrior. Unless something amazing will be revealed soon, this might not see play this Standard year.
This will make pirate warrior great again! JK, but still it's good, pretty balanced card
RRRETURN OF THE PIRATE WARRRIORRR~! Possibly a useful card for aggro pirate war..but well see other meta decks if they can sustain the damage.
In standard this is going to need a lot of help, but in Wild this probably makes Pirate Warrior a deck to worry about. Considering that you can draw this with decent consistency, and then it generates value and synergy all in one card.
To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of the women.
There is no better way to draw Patches the Pirate than this
I do what I must, when I must. Know this well.
Was thinking the exact same thing, regarding this as a preparation for future expansions. but with a low attack, is it really a good weapon to run in an agressive deck? Well, I suppose that all weapon look kinda bad when compared to old Fiery War Axe , may he rest in peace.
Pirate Warrior support!?!? In Standard ?!!!
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
At least someone understands it. This card is most likely too slow for wild's current pirate warrior.
Not bad, maybe quest warrior with a few pirates in it like captain greenskin and southsea deckhands?
Should already synergize with other weapons you are required to run in the deck.
Until we see the other Warrior cards, I have to give this a 3-star marking and leave it at "could be good, could be bad". One assumes now that they're planning to print more Pirates, but who knows what archetype they might fit into. Traditional Aggro Pirate? Something slower? Pirates mixed with Galakrond, the Unbreakable? This weapon just came out of nowhere.
I doubt Pirate warrior will become a thing this expansion, since it requires a lot more support. Support it may or may not receive. But a legendary weapon like that, daaaamn

EU Legend: S52 (ZooHeal Lock); S76 (Highlander Hunter);
Calling it now pirate expansion incoming when everything rotates
Maybe the Invoke cards for Warrior are Pirates, that would make this card a staple.
Okaaay, I think we are all surprised by seeing a legendary weapon, but sure, why not! However, to me this card seems to be printed more for the wild format, I don´t think that standard warrior is playing pirates these days
This card just doesn't have the synergy it needs for standard. These are all the standard pirates (Neutral and Warrior):
Southsea Deckhand, Bloodsail Corsair, Sharkfin Fan, Bloodsail Raider, Southsea Captain, Ticket Scalper, Dread Corsair, Kobold Stickyfinger and Captain Greenskin.
Unlike Rogue, Warrior doesn't have any class pirates and I don't see them being able to make a strong enough pirate deck that justifies running Ancharrr.
When Warrior gets better (or any) pirates, this card should see play. You can still use this to tutor out a Captain Greenskin or a Dread Corsair in a Hack the System deck or something similar, but those decks are not strong enough for now.
More dragons? Yes please!
As others have said, leans towards a slower more mid-rangey pirate warrior.
Currently, my meme deck of choice is (Hack the System) Quest Warrior. If I'm lucky (or unlucky lol) enough to pull this out of a pack, might experiment with a mid range pirate/weapon based mid range warrior. Likely won't be good though lol.
Pirates that support a weapon based strat in standard:
Southsea Deckhand
Bloodsail Raider
Dread Corsair
Kobold Stickyfinger
Captain Greenskin
If pirate warrior becomes a thing in the next season, this card might become a staple.
Mechs and Dragons this expansion, but Pirate Warrior now?
What are they angling at?
We have no strong pirates right now to make this card worth to include in a deck. So i'm a bit surprised. But in wild Ancharrr can fit really well in a pirate warrior. I guess, we will get some strong pirates in this or next expansion.
Good card for pirate warrior. I think this will be good in wild but will rarely see play in standard.
I can imagine that when they announced this card they wanted to confuse us. So far it works but I don't see the point in this card at all.
Create value AND remove bad topdecks from your deck while you punch your opponent in the face? Great card!! 4/5
Please, STOP with pirates! Luckily, this doesn't seem good at all.
Pirate warrior, so far, will not be a thing. We need more pirates to see if the card is good. 2/5 for me.
I think this card is super strong.
You run this card in an aggressive/tempo deck that run at least 6-7 pirates, it creats a huge value alone without losing too much tempo. In wild it will see play right away, in standard maybe it will not see play now (maybe strong pirates will be revealed) but if more good pirates are printed in the next expansions i can see this card with a pirate package replacing the Galakrond package in an aggro/tempo warrior deck (just because the invoke cards are bad to run in the deck).
Are they gonna make any other pirate cards or just this if its only this it sucks why is it even a legendary.
Obviously the card is pretty good, for 3 mana you deal 6 and draw 3, but combining with weapon buffs that Warrior has, including those from pirates in Wild, this gets pretty insane.
Legendary that should have been an Epic (maybe even Rare). Just not any good at all, which is a bummer since - after playing around a bit with Hack the System - another GOOD Warrior weapon could have easily found its way into that deck. A Shame.
At first I thought this was trash outside of wild, but it could work in a tempo build. Warrior already has what they need for solid aggro. Only downside is there's one of it in your deck, so without this on curve, it might end up being a bad draw later in the match
Rage quitting: the best way to ensure your opponent knows they beat a giant baby.
cool card but this doesnt belong in standard. perfect fit for pirate warrior
yeah, I can only see this now in wild. Not enoguh reasons to play this in standard.
In wild Pirate warrior will use it for sure, but i can't immagine a single standard deck where you want to use this weapon unless Warior got 1 or 2 strong pirate from this or next sets
Could see play in wild, but in standard you have no reason to run it over basically everything.
Might be stronger in the next expansion if they start printing more pirates for warrior.
It's too soon for pirate warrior again. Too soon, I say.
There must be some other pirates than Kobold Stickyfinger in this expansion to make us want to play this card.
I don't think they just printed him for this weapon.
I don't like playing aggro generally but I am really concerned about this card because I concerned about where hearthstone goes. It is a concern about expansion design.
Unpopular Opinion Incarnate
I guess it wasn't future set-up at all.
I still believe Pirate Warrior won't be that great when compared to Rush/Bloodsworn/Octosari builds.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
This with the other new pirates i guess pirate warriors is back
The pirate warrior support is actually really spooky
Quite a solid card. It might be worth to play even in non fully dedicated pirate decks. Draw 3 is definitely good.
Pirate Warrior might become a strong deck again, but this time it seems that the deck is rather midrange than pure aggro. In combination with Hoard Pillager, this card can generate a lot of value.
Pretty neat to add a legendary weapon again, although its a pirate synergy card so a lotta people arent gonna be happy about it lol
Card draw for Pirates is very interesting and potentially very powerful, but I’m wondering if playing this card is too low-tempo for an aggressive Pirate Warrior deck. The base attack is relatively low and the 3-drop slot in Pirate Warrior is kind of crowded with Southsea Captain, Bloodsail Cultist, and Frothing Berseker.
Jaina is best waifu. Always.
A very good way for pirate warrior to keep up tempo and is crazy with Skybarge . I think this goes well in both wild and standard and will even go so far to say that drawing this will win you the game. I think pirate warr is gonna slay some dragons this season. High expectations for this card and hoping to open it.
Love to see warrior is being pushed away from control archetype.
Smorc! Pirate Warrior for Wild got an excellent addition. For standard I don't see a viable deck yet. Maybe an aggro deck with Galakrond with Pirates and charge minions.
Dangerous card for sure. With Hoard Pillager on the table there will be blood, I know it. Even better in Wild.
Oh god, not another pirate warrior plague. Anyway, I don't get legendary vibe from this.
Fun and interactive game.
Changed my rating to 5 stars after the reveal of the rest of the set. I think this card will complement the new archetype really well and will be a sure inclusion. Good that it's legendary and there can be only one of it (although it can be restored 2 times :O )
