What if you've gotten ALL region rewards?

Submitted 4 years, 8 months ago by

^Title. I'm not saying I'm close to doing this at all (I've currently only gotten all of the rewards for one region) but I'm just curious. It may not be relevant right now but eventually there will probably be quite a lot of people who will have completed all of the regions and even if there will be new ones, Riot can't add regions forever. And if those people also get their vault to lvl 13 in a week, it will result in any experience earned being useless.

I think a solution could be to add continuous region rewards for after you've completed a region (or all regions), which should be less efficient in the amount of value they give for the amount of exp that is required for them. For example, let's say you've completed Demacia. If you still want to get more Demacia cards, you will continue to follow the following "reward path" which resets every time you complete it:

1000 exp for a random common -> 2000 exp for a random rare -> 3000 exp for a random epic -> 4000 exp for a random champion

I'm not saying these should be the exact amounts of required exp or the exact rewards of course, but for someone who completes their daily quest and gets the bonus exp for the first few wins every day, getting the random champion would take about 4-5 days, which I think is pretty fair. It's also up to Riot to decide whether they want to make this region specific or not (but the former would be more appreciated :p).

Another thing Riot could do is allow you to reset all regions after you've completed them, or they could add more region rewards to each region in the future.

Please let me know if you know whether anything happens after getting all region rewards, and what you think about my proposition.

I think Riot will have events in the future similar to LoL that you can activate instead of a region to feed exp in. Maybe also with cosmetics instead of cards.

Thought about it as well.. there's no way Riot doesn't have anything planned for that point it should happen approximately in 2.5/3 months where the first player will max out his regional rewards.. I guess the vault is always a progress to be made.. in league as you have all champions you can still use BE to buy new ones AND to buy cosmetics twice a year.. so even I who play since 2012 still don't have around 100K spare blue essence (league's normal currency)

Then you are a god and I humbly bow before your feat.

I don't know anything, but my personal theory: they will reset the roads either every expansion or every season.  I say that because they've stated somewhere (can't find exact quote right now) something like "for each expansion, we want active players to get ~75% of the collection without spending money" and the only way I can see that happening is if you get new roads that give cards from that particular expansion.  Most players will probably get every region to Level 8 for the 1st champion capsule and then either max out their favorite region or develop-but-not-max multiple regions; a few like yourself will get every region to max and then effectively stall out until the next reset.  (I actually prefer your idea of letting players still get random cards from a designated region--I just don't think they'll implement that this year.)

By the time you've maxed out all regions, it seems like you won't really need much more than the Vault.

Maybe if you want to continue working on a maxed-out region, they should add some cosmetic benefits you can work toward. These should not be purchasable with cash, so they will be a true indication of your dedication to that region.

one of my friend finished it with open play expeditions already. Yes he has no life. :)

I mean, it didn't even pass 1 month and some people already finished those regional rewards. I remember it like there was a guy that talks about unlimited regional rewards and he said that he heard it from one of rioters. We might see some changes at next patch.

I'm new here and I wandering in here wondering the same question myself, what happens when I finish the region rewards. Still haven't found an definite answer, but I will know myself in the next two days. Tomorrow if I decide to grind it out. I just need the last level in Noxus and need 5000 XP. I can tell completing all the regions will not earn you every card in the game.

Here's quick list of the cards remaining:

    10 Champions

    5 Epics

    48 Rares

+7 Commons (After purchasing every common, I have 7 extra Common Wildcards)

It should also be noted I have 14.5k Gems and 2 Expedition Tokens. After my diamond chest tomorrow, I should have enough gems to buy 5 more champions and plus the 2 I get from Expedition, I should be down to just 3 champions left. I have refused to get yasuo and vlads unless the game gives them to me as I find them to be worthless champions right now.

More Notes: I did not purchase any cards with real money and these numbers above are for a playset of every card. Playset = 3 of every card.

Sorry if this came across as a flex, it isn't my intention. I am just trying to give everyone a heads up what to expect. When reaching 20 in all regions. Surprisingly in my humble opinion, blue rares and champions are the hardest to get. SAVE THOSE WILDCARDS. You'll need them.

This question has been answered since--see https://outof.cards/forums/legends-of-runeterra/runeterra-general/3231-progression-after-completing-regional-rewards

Short answer: nothing now, but once the base game and/or expansions launch then there will be a "season road" that you continue afterwards.
