Now I really love anything Discard, but it pisses me off immensly that this wasn't released last year when there were at least remains of Discardlock left in Standard.
This could have been great with Jeklik for some meme builds, but no, you couldn't just have released this in the Uldum set.
Right now this is pretty useless and I don't see it being used in Wild Discolock either because most of your big cards are actually stuff you want to play instead of discard.
I assume Discolock will get more support in the future but right now it's pretty awful, even with Hand of gul'dan in mind
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Discardlock is known to well.... Suck. There i said it. i don't have that much hope for the card, but i'm keeping an eye on it. Might become a sleeper.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
This exists because of Hand of Gul'dan. Nothing more to say.

Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Nope, I think this card is very good anyway.. it's -2 hp doomguard for 1 less mana and 1 less discard and rush instead of charge
I mean if you play it with an empty hand you play it for free and it's a 5/5 rush for 4 which is neat!
Sure charge is much stronger but 5/5 rush is very strong as well.
This is a good result from galakround.
Yeah but that doesn't change the truth that they print such a card just because Hand of Gul'dan so what I meant was actually that.

This is a great card for Zoolock. Discarding one card no huge downside for Zoolock compared to the power level of this minion. And if Hand of Gul'dan is discarded, the effect of this card is insanely good.
It kinda reminds me of the Doomguard and yes, I know - rush is not a charge and 5 health is a lot weaker than 7. But still, I am happy with what I get and try not to be too greedy :). Zoolocks will rejoice.

There can't be a discard warlock without the wild quest, this card can't be played.
nice to have a rush 5/5 but at a cost of removing one of your late game card? definitely not worth it imo.
I don't know if in standard we want play this card just to combo with Hand of Gul'dan ...but probably not. Nightshade Matron is 1-2 years late to see play
The only reason this might see play is because of Hand of Gul'dan. Will not see play without that card.
A good card for wild.

My comment on this card has been completed.
"Lowest Cost card" is preferable because you can get away with throwing out your trash leftovers; "Highest Cost" means you're threatening to lose something of actual value. As others have noted, this exists specifically because of Hand of Gul'dan.
So you're needing to carry expensive cards that are trash for this to be effective?
I like the rush effect though, it's very good stats for cost
Does warlock need a Militia Commander? I would say probably not. If you need to discard your priciest card, Expired Merchant is more efficient, but maybe if it is the core of your deck, this card can be a backup copy.
This post is discussing the wild format.
Not sure about this, its a cheap rush, strong on curve, but could be replaced with some othe removal without discard.
Right now this just compliment the new Hand of Gul'dan. I hope we get more discard support that is not too random in the future.
I think blizzard finally knows what they are doing with the doing with the discard mechanic. They have Hand of Gul'dan that wants you to discard it, and this card that discards a specific card. When you mesh those two mechanics then you have a playable discard deck.
I am very interested to see what new discard cards they print in the future.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
this is where i go back to my discard lock list in wild and see if it becomes viable)
This isn’t the card that would make The Hand playable, and on its own I don’t think it’ll really be that good. Not worth discarding a big card for slightly better stats
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
Amazing card when used with Hand of Gul'dan!
Everybody saying play this with Hand of Gul'dan. Yeah, I agree, probably the only good use for it. However, we'll still have Soulwarden in wild. Also maybe some Cruel Dinomancer shenanigans.
