Very nice card, devolve at 1 mana, and in mage.
Almost certain to go somewhere, and will likely be played for a long time.
Randomness is negligible, and the missile-ness of the spell is an upside if they have less than 3 minions in play.
This post is discussing the wild format.
if it can reduce the same minion 3 times this will be broken as hell
This card may actually lurk into Wild QMage and give the deck yet another dangerous anti-Aggro tool.
I see it was priced at 1 cause it's a "worse" Devolve but devolve is quite an insane card.. so..
I see this card as extremely toxic, I can see it getting nerfed to 2 in the future.
I thought they said there will be less rng. Definitely powerful and could easily be nerfed, but we'll see.
Basicly Devolve and Arcane Missiles in one. Seems really good! Cheap transform effect. Allows you to play 2 transform effects in Highlander decks. (This + Polymorph in mage, and Hex in shaman) 3 Missiles are often enough, but i do wonder: can these missiles hit the same target multiple times? If so than this might be a bit less reliable, but still amazing! Imagine someone dropping a Khartut Defender, and then you cast Devolving Missiles to turn the Khartut Defender into a random 3 drop. Also this card screws over ress-priests over A LOT. and I LOVE EVERY SECOND OF IT!
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Never been a fan of Devolve effects. It's basically a better Silence. Any deck built around card effects like Deathrattles or buffs just get neutered with zero counterplay. This is effectively a 1 mana "Silence 3 random enemy minions and then replace them with crappier minions that have zero synergy with your deck". The only bad hits are high cost low-stat minions and those are easy to kill off first due to the low stats.
On top of the Devolve RNG, you also get hit based RNG to make it even worse. This can either completely neuter your board into something utterly terrible and just give your opponent the win, or it doesn't do much at all but then the opponent has only wasted one mana.
Yes, it screws over Rez Priest. That is literally the only positive thing about it. Everything else about it will make the opponent smash their keyboard when the RNG screws them over and turns their 8/8, 5/5 and 4/6 board into a bunch of high-cost low-stat crap minions for 1 mana.
This! This gets all my upvotes
A puzzle box? What does it say? ... Yogi-Saffron something... sure, let's open it, what is the worst that could happen?
They make Rattlegore a card then also print this aside him it seems really strong since it's just Devolve but even more random.
Self proclaimed good at battlegrounds
So many people are going to hate this card when it gets played against them. I can't wait, lol.
Official Lorekeeper and Spinner of Tavern Tales
Nice one for both classes I guess. Devolve saw play in Shaman back in the days and Mage won't mind to have yet another spell to regain control of the board.

Hi Priest
Bye Priest
I guess we got our Multi Polymorph after all. I assume if only one enemy is on the board it will get devolved 3 times?
Either way it's decent "silence" for both classes. Mage as an additional control/anti-value tool, in Shaman possibly for tempo (it can enable better trades in the early game for just 1-mana which is huge)
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Now this could potentially devolve one minion three times, which could make it strong against a single minion. Although, your opponent would need to have only a single minion that can be devolved three times for that to work.
Still though, it's a cheap spell with a decent effect, and people will rage over it.
Resurrect Priest on suicide watch. Now if only non-mage could find cards like this in the form of random silences.
Can't wait to see this in Trolden videos when it hits a 1-drop 3 times.
Take my words with a grain of salt. I'm unranked and only play casuals lmao.
I like this card, primarily cause it hurts priest lol.
Good tech card against Deathrattle too. The ultra sticky Rattlegore comes to mind.
This card looks super powerful. Devolve is a very popular card at 2 mana, and this is also available to Mages. I do wonder though if this can hit the same thing more than once. If so then it becomes a bit less consistent which is disappointing, but otherwise it might be too strong.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
5 star artwork and concept. Made me do a double take in the reveal. Not as wide spread as Devolve but can hit the same target multiple times. This really does look like a community created concept and I love it.
Casual Dragon Cardgame enthusiast.
Not really that good in my opinion. Yes, devolve was a good card. But that affected the entire enemy board, and its usually considered an AoE for small boards.
In situations where boards are anything higher than 3, this becomes a massive rng spell that only maybe do what its supposed to do, remove a threat. Kinda reminds me of Plague of Murlocs and will likely end up the same way.
Yes, it seems balanced because Devolve is 2 mana, but I really see this getting nerfed up to 2 mana.
A little concerned at the power level of some of these bi-class cards.
I feel like you'll see this card played a lot by Mages, but rarely main-decked. This is the type of card you love to find off of Magic Trick or Evocation. Depending on the meta I could see some Shaman decks running this.
Looks like a lot of fun to play vs deathrattle or buff decks. Could be used by a lot of Shaman/Mage decks.
Also, F off R**s Priest!
Every time a new card that transforms or summons a bunch of tokens for the enemy is revealed people go nuts with "fUcK rEz pRiEsT". Is that even a deck anymore? In wild it's shit now, only Raza is viable, and yeah it was a good archetype in standard last year but nowadays only galakrond and maybe highlander is good. So why do people still act like rez priest is a constant plague upon us all?
I'll boop you
Must be sort of a ptsd issue imo.
If you look closely, you will see that Troublemaker and his two buddies are being devolved here.
Wisp
Devolving Missiles is clearly crazy on a board with one large enemy minion, but given the incredibly high variance on the card when your opponent has multiple minions, I'm not sure you want this in the deck. The opportunity cost of it just seems a bit high. But, with all the resource generation in the game, I have no doubt you'll see it showing up through card generation effects and producing some pretty crazy results.
I don't think this is that good, but it seems like a really fun card, what I would like to know but I assume it doesn't is if this is affected by spell power.
Very good card
decks with prominent death rattles or minions that wanna be buffed will hate this card.
it's easy to find from cards like arcane blast, cobalt spellkin or that new rogue/mage minion, which means mages and shaman will have a strong tool to defuse their opponents strategy
This card will be insanely unfun to play against, and will probably by itself cause multiple people to quit the game.
A devolving-arcane-missile ?!
*Yawns*
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Seems really good in any control-y decks since it can helpfully answer buffed or large threats.
This is my question indeed. It ought to, as the transformed minions should be there right away.

I'm sure my Wild Evolve deck only has 29 cards... Love the art and flavour of this, and the effect isn't half bad either.
Started playing HS in May, 2015. The bad news: I missed the excitement of 'Naxx out?' and GvG. The good news: I never met an Undertaker.
Cant wait for the Trollden videos lol!

Cool effect and it will be probably so strong against priest. Evolve was better for sure and the RNG factor is really high here. Super strong against a small board with strong minion, really weak with a full board where there isn't only 1threat (or taunt to devolve to close the game)

This card removes the weakness of taunt heavy decks for quest mage in wild. They keep inexplicably printing more broken cards for an undeniably meta warping deck. Hoping they nerf sorcerer’s apprentice and just basically reset the meta on the spo
Noice.
Yess, so fun and actually cool effect, with so many primes and powerful minion its surely fun devolving those.
Seems pretty decent, probably gonna be frustrating to play again though. Anything you use this against will probably be because of its effects, so the end stats don’t really matter all too much
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
Does anyone know if this is affected by spell damage? Either with more missiles or by upgrading (downgrading?) the devolution?
I love this Mage/Shaman duality. It's an awesome mix
One of the most fun I will get with a xard this expansion
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
My favorite design and flavor of the set. Very solid
This looks like a fun card and while it might not be "perfect", I play Hearthstone for the fun.
Even more random devolve.... at least it only costs 1 mana
All hail the banshee queen.
This can hit the same target multible times. Awesome removal.
It's a good effect at a low cost. It actually gets better when it's only one or two minions on board.
This seems absurdly good to me, and I think Devolve is good enough evidence for me to think that.
Obviously there is layers of RNG attached to this (which minions get targeted plus the devolving itself), but it seems really strong against everything except wide boards of tiny minions.
I expect to see this in any control-oriented Mage lists.
This can't stay at 1 mana for long, right? It's a ridiculously good effect.
The only slight downside is that on a board with more than one minion, you might miss hitting the one you really want. Given that you'll still have the majority of your mana available to you however, I don't think that's too much of an issue to warrant not running a card that will sometimes just completely destroy any attempt at an early game.
Welcome to the site!
10 for dual class flavour.
10 for artwork.
Really hope this sees play, it’s good removal for strong buffed minions like vanclee
The flavor on this is just great. Gameplay-wise, you can hope to bypass taunts or deal with troublesome deathrattles. Still, not that good.
I'd definitely appreciate getting this off Cobalt Spellkin
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
There is not damage from spells here, so spell damage doesn't affect that spell.
By The Holy Light!
I hate this card already.
Would Shaman run this in Wild over just Devolve? I don't know, but that is a seriously powerful effect for one man's, especially if it can hit a single target three times.
The weird thing about Devolving Missiles is that I think it works best when your opponent has only minion on their board. If that minion is threatening, this is effectively a 1 mana Polymorph that greatly shrinks down that minion's stats. Against a wide board, it can still be impactful, but the spell goes down in consistency as it can hit a minion you don't care about hitting multiple times. I think this is more suited for slower decks like Highlander Mage who can utilize this well against a board of 1-2 minions. In Shaman, I can only really see this in Galakrond Shaman, but they already have ways to respond to the board through their invoke cards and Galakrond, the Tempest.
For glory, honor, and gold!
This is a great idea and I will hate to play against it :-)
-=alfi=-
I already hate this card. I don't think it will be consistently played, but rather being teched in anytime large deathrattles, buffs or ongoing effects become commonplace. Any meta that is heavy on Rush or Battlecry, this card could potentially become a huge liability, either "healing" a rush minion, or "buffing" a battlecry minion.
Also, I have a feeling this card will kill Libram Paladin.
This looks like one of the more fun spells from this expansion.
Thanks to denial, I'm immortal.
Diligent Notetaker + Devolving Missiles x2
With some luck it can disrupt a powerful board
At first I thought this was really good, but the inconsistency isn't great. In Standard this should be fine because Devolve is in Wild. But not sure this would see play in Wild because Devolve is in Wild. Most effective when you are playing a Priest with a single Infiltrator on board that has had Grave Runes cast on it.
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
A devolve that could miss the target you want to hit or best case hit it multiple times.. A bit too much RNG, but it should be fun.
Too random to be reliable, but may be useful when obtained from discover mechanics or such.
