This seems absurdly good to me, and I think Devolve is good enough evidence for me to think that.
Obviously there is layers of RNG attached to this (which minions get targeted plus the devolving itself), but it seems really strong against everything except wide boards of tiny minions.
I expect to see this in any control-oriented Mage lists.
Insane in Mage, pretty good in Shaman... I think?
Decent effect, maybe run sometimes...
Spell mage got another tool to counter opponent board
It's...really good....I think? Although I believe it might only really fit into tempo decks. You wanna use this to enable a better trade for instance (or occasionally take out a buffed minion). If you just throw this into a control deck its value will decrease the further you get into the game. Downgrading something like an 8-drop into a 6-drop might not be enough in terms of defense.
Great for a meta that's buff spell heavy.
makes them absolutely wasted
This in a Mage deck is just hilarious. Let us just be glad that it's not damage that can be increased by + Spell Damage.
And I thought they said they were going to lower the RNG involvement in the game ;)
