Whats the point of putting cards into your deck anymore. What the fuck is the point of card tracking. HOW DO YOU PLAY AROUND ANYTHING. In trouble? JUST DISCOVER ANOTHER FUCKING ANSWER
It shares the same name and concept with magic the gathering where there's just a plethora of unrelated creatures included in the deck, which in magic's case are historically animals of a variety of colors.
In hearthstone's case, the term zoolock came when Reynad created a deck with a curve of minions without any synergy like Argent Squire, Shattered Sun Cleric, Harvest Golem, etc. topped with burn like Soulfire and Doomguard. It was fairly revolutionary back then as early hearthstone was mostly about synergy like murlocs, beasts, and spells whereas zoolock is basically just a group of bs minions that kicks ass.
I almost completed Kresh by casually playing N’Zoth control warrior. The deck is definitely entertaining so I don’t mind taking the slow approach.
I don’t see myself complete the demonhunter ones soon though, it’s just a long tedious losing streak..
Ps: I completed the Druid achievement with 5 cards that cost 8 or more earlier today with a bunch of giants + celestial alignment. Super fun and pretty powerful tbh
i play hs since blackrock mountain and i've seen so many zoo decks on so many sites through the years, but i never knew where did the name came from. can someone explain why these decks are "zoo" and not for example "swarm"?
Whats the point of putting cards into your deck anymore. What the fuck is the point of card tracking. HOW DO YOU PLAY AROUND ANYTHING. In trouble? JUST DISCOVER ANOTHER FUCKING ANSWER
Honestly? It's easily restraining to make cards for a custom class for existing expansions, because you rely on finding good art to just fill in the blank spaces of your cards. You can instead create thematic blocks or start from Forged in the Barrens.
I personally haven’t been playing a ton lately, but I kind of felt like this card wasn’t too big of a deal. I mean, I have been playing every day, but not always for long periods of time. MI wasn’t really seeing it a ton when I found the time to jump on.
Was I running into the Mecha’thun decks playing this as part of their combo? Yes, but not often. Where they winning on turn 5 or 6? A few times, but around half (or more) times they either took longer and gave me time to win or whiffed on what they needed to draw off of Twist. That or the animations were taking too long and they roped out!
I tried playing it myself and was maybe successful in around half or less of the games I played, due to the same problems listed above. I’d say that maybe I was playing it wrong but… come on! It’s a fairly simple deck to pilot. You just need to get the right draw order and you win. But with bad draw order, you can lose!
Anyway, with that said I’m fine with their decision. I know they want it to be available in Standard for now and anerf would kill it in that format. They maybe even have more draw planned to pair well with this guy in the next couple sets. If that’s the case, more draw and no action on the card suddenly makes this even more dangerous in Wild. So a ban may seem heavy handed to some, I think it’s fine! I’ll probably dust the guy for now and recraft later if they do make some good standard options to go with him in the next set or two.
I’m a little upset by this, but only because I wanted to run a counter deck to the Stealers using Stealer, Twist, and then Brann, Mutanus, Brewmasters, Stingers (the Warlock murloc that makesyour next murloc cost HP), replay Mutanus! Would have been fun watching the diabolical fish man just CHOMP away a bunch of needed combo pieces
I do not remember exactly how many attempts I took me to complete this XP achievement nor did I keep track of it, but it was approximately between 30 and 40 tries. I played Party Up! in a Standard Hand Buff Paladin deck and even won most of my games, so I did not mind at all that it took awhile. Especially since I was progressing a few other XP achievements simultaneously anyways.
If you read the article, it says "Hearthstone's Alec has confirmed that the current plan for when the card rotates in 2023 is to make a change and remove the ban", and there's a quoted tweet from Alec Dawson that says "Current plan is to adjust the card at that point in time and remove the ban". The reason they don't want to nerf it right now is because (presumably) they have plans in future expansions to build upon this card. Nerfing it would gimp the archetype -supporting cards that have probably been in production for about 8-10 months.
If anyone got any tips to complete Friends Like Me achievement aside from ridiculous hope from RNG, I'm up for it. I've played like 50-60 Party Up! and never got 4 of them. I think I gave up already. (Even playing 200 sigils seems easy enough)
There's not a whole lot you can do except play Party Up! until you get there. It has about 0.85% chance of happening each time, so people will have to play it 117 times on average. Statistics can be cruel though, and even playing it 117 times still only gives you 1-(116/117)^117 = 63.4% chance of it having happened, so you might not want to bother (especially as your 50-60 plays so far wouldn't contribute...).
I only did it myself because I got lucky and it happened on about the 10th try. Otherwise I would have respected my time enough to give up.
Reaching Lv.144. Got pretty good push while completing 90% achievement. The one left are getting 4 of the same adventurer, copy 5 secrets, and 2 from legendaries that I don't have.
2000 gold from that immediately spent on new Standard & Wild Packs (10 packs each). Just to get the pity timer off. Totally worth it (5 epic and 2 legendaries from 10 Standard Packs alone, wild doesn't really matter). So, I guess it's a good thing the miniset is there after all. At least the motivation to play is up once more.
I think I can hit lv.200 if I counted only doing quests from now on.

I was a bit bored with the current meta of LoR and decided to invest my time away from Legends of Runeterra, but remain working on something similar to it. With that, I decided to try my hands at creating custom cards. This is my first ever made custom set for Legends of Runeterra. However, unlike others who may have tried to design it based on non-existing regions or champions in the game, I decided to go for another thing entirely.
Why not just base it on another game that's similar to League of Legends?
You're all probably wondering: What game is it from anyways?
Introducing Vainglory!

(God, I swear this isn't an ad. I just like the game.)

Agreed 100% percent, the problem was that "pay" equals "damage yourself". If they fixed that interaction it would be so nice.
But nevermind, not that hard of a ban I think. There were only 2 way outs with this one, either fixing the problem with inmunity, or banning it. Nerfing was not a choice. The card is OK in standard.
In defense of people getting angry, Riot is not on a great track record right now for balance changes. TF/Fizz dominated the meta for at least a month and a half, alongside Aphelios, before finally getting brought into line (though they did well with the TF/Fizz nerfs, since the deck is still playable by those who are dedicated to it). But when they nerfed Aphelios the first time, it was not enough - and when they nerfed him the second time, it was way too much.
Then immediately after the next big expansion, we have the Watcher show up and push out essentially every other viable control-ish strategy in the game, and after a couple weeks, we had Nasus/Thresh arrive as a major powerhouse of a deck (though I have no idea how to classify it ... aggro/midrange/combo/tempo?). Nasus/Thresh got a couple of nerfs, but immediately got replacement cards as well, so the nerfs kinda didn't matter, and nothing was done about Watcher combo at all in any form (which still remains true to this moment).
Then we enter a new expansion with a blatantly overpowered deck on day 1 that basically built itself, give or take 5-6 cards. And then Riot saying it was fine and didn't need nerfs.
Then coming up to the "big balance patch" that only happens every 2 months and them doing essentially nothing that mattered much in it.
So, it wasn't just the non-patch that made people angry. It was also a lot of mis-management that led up to that patch as well.
