Absolutely ignores deathrattles early on. Played against a Expired Merchant turn 2, played Zephrys on 3 and wished for silence, however I got Powerword:Shield, Mortal Coil and another card.
I feel that he overvalues the max mana you have left and doesn't consider deathrattle effects for the mid to long game. (Could've been a VERY different game)

To answer your question, the old system suited me just fine. However, I'm a big fan of the new system. It has a real sense of progression and when things get stale, I can pursue achievements.
As for the tavern pass and the battle pass, I honestly am not a fan of them but I understand its how business works. I can opt in or out if I so choose. I've been F2P in the past 5 years I've been playing except for the purchase of Naxx (the only old adventure I was missing.)
Companies get greedy - and it was bound to happen eventually. However, I think judgement should be reserved until the next expansion releases.

I think that GarenTaric is a decent Taric list right now. It uses the well known TaricGolden Aegis combo that not only levels Taric up on the spot if you can support an ally with it but also allows you together with Garen to take that many extra attacks that even a slighly buffed Sparklefly or The Fangs can cause serious trouble for the opponent.
The deck is pretty much a midrange deck and has with the likes of Out Of The Way a decent way to go late (making the Taric invicibility permanent)
IreliaAzir is despite this deck having potentially large lifesteal units to leech from the blades a bad matchup but many aggro lists and also many control lists have trouble dealing with lifestealing units that attack way more often than they should.

For my champ proposals, dimentio from super paper Mario or shovel knight from shovel knight would be nice, or if you aren’t familiar with either of those it’d be cool to see a champ that synergizes with shuffling cards into your deck

Looking through the report, I'm most surprised by how CursedParrot's 'Antonidas, the Secretive' ended up. It doesn't have much relation to the original Aunty, sure, but the effect was so crazy! I gave it five stars on the principle of pure, wacky fun. Other folks very much didn't agree with that, haha.
Couple of ideas this time around. I think the design for the 2nd one is better, but I feel the token needs to be cleared up a bit somehow (do enemies freeze when they attack? after? etc.) The first one better supports the direction Blizzard is taking Frost Mage however.
EDIT: As much as I like the name Zro K'lvin (Zero Kelvin), the name Shiva might be more appropriate with the Shiva's Guard weapon.

I like the first one more, it's a conditional Mossy Horror that only hits enemies. Maybe lower the threshold from 4 attack to 2-3 attack? If that's the route you go down, could also maybe lower the cost too. The 2nd design is too different that it feels weird. Would be interesting, but would probably need to be epic or legendary.

That Silvermoon Icecaller is clean! I would go with that one and change nothing. It supports the archetype in a way that Blizzard is pushing for and is simple, but not overly so. Shai isn't bad, but an effect like that I'd like to see on a non-legendary so It can be a 2-of. This way it can be upgraded and all aspects of Shadowform can be utilized.
Warlock minion - "Start of Game: If all spells in your deck are Holy, draw them." It's just Renounce Darkness, so now you can play one on turn-2 every time lol
I'm wondering how much I can get away with a School+class combination that doesn't exist. Like a Warrior card that says "If all spells in your deck are Fire". If I put it in a custom expansion, can people imagine the rest? Probably not :(

if you play in casual it won’t count for the Nozdormu achievement. It needs to be wild or standard.

Going off of Molten Breath and Ironforge Portal, one can assume that other Fire spells for the Warrior could conceivably include some Armor gain.
