My attempt at solving the hunter puzzle. Got to 127 gold in 40 steps. Only need 5 more items to sell that gains gold, but I'm running out of options. I'm 8 gold short for a sell that gains 31 gold. Obviously, you need to be gold efficient and I thought I was, but apparently having 1 or 2 items leftover from sells is detrimental. My theory that I could use them later is proven false. I will see if I can spot any mistakes on my own before taking the easy way out.

That was fun, until I reached Hunter

I hate RNG... I love these puzzles... but just getting to them is pissing me off. I've been just trying to get to the Hunter puzzle for 2 hours now. Anyone have a deck that Works? And what did you play against?

Nevermind Finally got the spell.

Fuck me. Nothing happened so I pressed the end turn button. Which resets the puzzle. Questionable design if you ask me.

the guy/gal who solved the last puzzle must be the trade god/goddess of mmos. I mean, with this skill, he/she never gets out of money in any mmo game with a market.

What was your deck build for Hunter? I keep getting close to getting all 5 cards in hand, but usually just whittled down before I can get the last. RNGeebus seems to always stick two of the same needed Card in the last 5.

Yeah, I commend the people who worked on getting the solutions. I could only solve the warrior one, and even then I had already read what type of puzzle it was. In the middle of going through the hunter one, I understood how people figured out what the goal was, but holy hell that had to have taken a ton of work to solve.

Even with a step by step guide the hunter one took me like 20 minutes or so (but maybe I am just too old :)).

It is not.  There's a struggle for certain LGBT rights that they don't have but it's a country by country basis.  Just as the extent of LGBT rights change from country to country in the West.  In China there are no laws banning same sex couples or making being gay illegal, but they cannot marry or receive benefits that married households can (much like America did until quite recently.  In fact many Asian, African, and Indochinese countries are a lot more friendly to LGBT people than western European.  

Also a lot of history of there being absolutely no restrictions to homosexuality until Western imperialism came along.  There's this idea that West=good and everything else =bad but that's really just propaganda.  Homosexual rights were actually pushed hard by the early socialist agendas in the late 1800's.  Imperialism and capitalism began associating homosexual rights with communism and cracked down even harder on homosexuals.  The terrible policies adapted by Britain such as chemical sterilization and death penalty for gay people were as much as an anti-socialist movement that used religion to justify it's crack down on these people.  

Anti-gay rhetoric was often an imperialist excuse for occupying and abusing other cultures, citing their acceptance of homosexuality as sinful and savage.  The hardline anti-gay rhetoric that spread in the middle east has it's roots in imperialism.  

So in short, no.  Western countries are not automatically friendly to LGBT communities and non-Imperialism based countries are not anti-gay and often have more rights afforded to the LGBT communities.  Believe me, you are a lot more safe being transgender in Thailand than you are in Alabama.

As a foot note: The reason why Far Watch Post is in the deck, is because it acts as bait. The most consistent way we lose, is when our opponent can deal damage outside the board.

Post exerts pressure, making our opponent's either deal with it, or paying a Mana tax.

Also, a more optimized list should run Mankrik over Hog Rancher, after she just there for the Barrens achievement lol

People from all over the world working together to get this done, it was so chaotic and so so beautiful. Granted, the difficulty of this thing is beyond crazy but that probably was the whole point of it: it was never meant to be solvable by any one person.

Some explanations for more clarity:

Step 1 was finding out that the flavor texts of the Druid, Warrior, Rogue and Hunter mercenary contain clues for the 4 parts of the achievement. I wasn't around at the time but I guess what makes them stand out is that the characters quote themselves in their flavor texts. 

Step 2: They hint at cards you have to play against the innkeeper. To find out which cards exactly are needed, people from different countries helped together because the hints were more straight forward in some languages.

Step 3: Solving the riddles themselves. Some people tried to apply really advanced math to the Rogue one but got beaten by trial and error people because no one knew what to look for. For Druid it was a matter of patience once someone had the brilliant idea that it was a maze. I mean: Hiding a fucking maze in a HS board state. This must be the most genius thing in the history of Easter Eggs. Warrior was the old classic of bringing the sheep and the wolf over the river. I'm in love and no, I haven't participated in any of it. Just watching it unfold piece by piece was amazing. 

I mean...I'm pretty active in HS and in the HS community, and the day I'm finding out this is even a thing is the day I'm learning that they're already solved. 

edit: again, not really sure where to begin with Druid.  Something about twins above and below?  Do I need to put both eclipses in my deck?

edit 2: to the first point, I don't play with sound on.  There's no way I was ever going to be able to be a part of this.

Yup, had this problem with druid. You need to play those 5 cards only. And u can play potion of illusion on empty board.

Something that I found worth building around in Guardians of the ancient is Zilean in P&Z. The main reason for this is that Zilean's predicts proably one of the best ways to reliably assemble Chirean Sumpworkers early and that every decent zilean card is 1 or 2 mana working nicely with Insightful Investigator forming a deck that not only enters the board right away but also has the scaling needed to beat control later in the game. 

Currently Vi seem to be the optimal second champion and I am quite optimistic that this deck will be good, especially because predict and the likes of Gotcha!
