So I have been having quite a difficult year so I was not able to play as much as I would like, but I will share my progress with you.
Still missing Mage and priest since my last post, but was able to reach 500 wins with DH some weeks ago. Also warrior got quite a boost since then as also Rogue and Warlock had wich I had quite behind. Been enjoying Sargeras a lot latelly
and death knight discovers everything and sits on 70 health
and warrior sits on 50 armor
and shaman unendlessly fill board and his hand
and demon hunter draws a lot with mana cheat
and druid brings huge monsters so early with full board and ramps and gains huge armor
and paladin discovers a lot and mana cheats and fills his hand with mechs
and warlock mana cheats a lot disrupts your turn with abyssals a lot
and hunter copies beasts a lot with mana cheating
Let's make classes relying on their Hero Powers and make Hearthstone great again !
I mean, All classes are represented in the ladder right now with one or more type of deck. What's the problem ? Every other class can find something to whine about from another. If it bothers you, play that class or just stop playing, it is damn 2023 with thousands of games around. You can easily find another title to enjoy.
It's ok, team5 have no idea what they are doing. They keep winging it with some adjustments here and there. The game went to shit long ago, simply because it went from a bit chess-like to full arcade mode.
It's like playing Charrua Soccer vs Fifa.
If you don't like what they are doing with it, spend your time somewhere else. It's not gonna change. They unfortunately get too much money out of it now.
They have a 3 mana copy a card from your opponents hand and deck which is basically a better version of draw 2. So why is it the same cost as Arcane intellect. It should be 4 or 5 mana.
Then they have a 2 mana add a minion from the battlefield to your hand. They can just copy the most broken minions for 2 mana.
Then they can discover copies of their copy cards. Copy minions in their own deck all while disrupting your hand with dirty rat, having 1 mana silence all minions, and controlling the board with their various board clears
and then they still have their titan and create a weapon card. Priest just has an endless supply of tools and the copying makes it a million times worse.
Can they please nerf these copying cards, there needs to be an actual price they pay to just have all this value.
Oh yea, that's a definite possibility. Level a char, gear it up, then ensure X other people wipe on some raid boss because of you :))))
Yet, i'd imagine the amount of time put in for this is a good enough deterrent for such behaviour. People get attached to their characters, mostly. Or at least i do, lol.
This mode is like a life lesson that everything eventually dies and you shouldn't get attached to anyone. Sends the wrong idea to younger minds tbh.
Any ideas what prompted blizzard to release this mod? Was it such a popular demand?
My DK wins are on track to overtake my DH wins; the class is just a better fit for me.
I'm sure you've worked your way through the various Achievements, so maybe you'd like to invent a few for yourself. For example, there were a couple years (not recently, and not Heroic) where I would win the Tavern Brawl with every class. Taught me some interesting lessons.
Perhaps you'd like to play every card in your collection at least once? Give them all a chance to shine!
Thanks!
Since I am an achievement hunter myself, most of them have already been completed by me. Currently, I am doing the Restless Reader achievement coz it has finally been fixed.
Afterwards, I will most likely clear the list of Duels achievements. It seems my only motivation to play Hearthstone nowadays is directly linked to completing achievements.
EDIT: Restless Reader achievement finally completed, luckily I did not need both of the two still bugged lore books.
The scariest part about it is the people who are leveling just to grief others when you finally get to the end content. The mental torture that is involved in playing hardcore WoW isn't something I want to think about much.
Will I play it? I'll probably level something, casually, for fun. Almost zero chance of doing a raid though and if we're talking dungeons, I'd only play with friends that I know won't screw anything up.

I'm not sure anyone's gonna do raids in this :)) they will attempt them, for sure. But 1 wipe and it's back to level one. And levelling takes a good while. People are gonna get fed up eventually.
I dont really like how team5 implemented the titans to be honest. The problem is that they allow titans to be copy-able, so it really gives advantages to classes that can easily do that. Team5 made rogue's titan one of the weakest (for obvious reasons) but then allow priest to keep aman'thul at its current state, where they just keep spamming copy until you eventually run out of options to remove the 10 health it has.
Of course, that's partially why we dont really see much of the titans at all, because you just know against some classes they're just waiting for you to do that. Part of the reason why eonar can never really see play is because it gives your opponent such a massive advantage simply by copying it.
The best titans are those that has 1 good move, or cannot really benefit your opponent. Or its an aggro deck that doesnt care.
Yeah there are some interesting texture issues. It seems like they did an engine upgrade to the same engine (or parts of it) that run PoE 2 now that they've shown more of it off which will hopefully mean when the beta for that drops next year, these issues will get fixed. I've never seen a missing strongbox - though I suppose I wouldn't know if I didn't catch a tooltip!
I've been having client lockups that have resulted in many lost experience bars and even the odd trial =(
In addition to the changes, which you can read all about in full detail down below, Grinding Gear Games has also stated that they are working on performance issues
I hope these performance issues include more texture bug fixes. I know they mention some in a previous patch but I feel they've just gotten worse and I sometimes miss things like metamorph or strongboxes coz only the tool tip shows, art assets are missing :(
Definitely a good announcement but also unexpected and early. Guess Blizzard wanted to show something at Gamescon to try excite the players still playing 😅
First off, I think the recent nerfs and buffs were pretty good overall. Hollow Hound should probably have lost attack instead of health, but whatever.
Crusader Aura: This card feels a bit OP to me. Yes, it needs some set up and only lasts 3 turns, but the amount of stats you can add to your board with this for such a small mana cost is excessive.
From De Other Side: They should change this internally so it doesn't count as the card that kills the minions it summons. This would fix the Fate Splitter problem I and others have commented on elsewhere. Is this combo oppressive? Certainly not. But there are lots of viable control decks right now, and they all just autolose to this.
Ignis, the Eternal Flame: This might be one of the best designed and most fun cards ever printed (yes, I was a big fan of Kazakus when he first came out too). The condition is reasonable, the minion itself has low stats to contrast his powerful effect, and the weapons are perfectly balanced for their respective costs. I don't feel bad when I lose to someone's 10 mana Lifesteal, Windfury Armor gain weapon, because they had to work to get it.
If you've read this far, you won't be surprised to learn that I LOVE Odyn, Prime Designate. Incredibly fun card to play, but definitely not OP. My Odyn deck is considerably stronger with the buff to Craftsman's Hammer.
And finally, the TITANS. Very very cool. Obviously, some are much better than others, but they're a great concept. When they were first introduced, I thought "Not great. You'll almost never keep one alive long enough to use 2 abilities, let alone all 3." Was I right? Yes, but I've found that even just using one ability can be enough to swing the game (death-glaring at you, Sargeras). And they actually stick around for a second turn more often than I was expecting, too.
I'm kinda tempted to get one: there is some competition for the TV, so this would alleviate that, and the best spot to access the TV is usually occupied by someone who is not me. But I'm essentially paying $200 so I can play PS5 games upstairs in my bedroom, or, more realistically, lying back on the couch - while my PS5 is within view - in the living-room. Maybe buying a TV for my bedroom and hooking up the PS5 to that would make more sense...
Since it is still summertime, getting a 1000 Death Knight wins happened way sooner than I previously anticipated. I guess messing around with Plague DK in Duels was just too much fun! 😅
The next new class (likely Monk) is not due for at least another year, so what is going to be my following challenge in Hearthstone, I wonder? Suggestions perhaps, anyone?
Okay, I said that I don't like to idea of Twist Set to be released but I have to admit that it is nice to see cards like Time-Lost Raptor which infuses set exclusive mechanics into one.
Nice job on that card and some others. I'm not speaking of effectivity here. I just have to admit now that Twist/Wild exclusive sets opens new area of card types.

Priest needs a new identity. Way too much copying.

I know basically nothing about Armored Core except it's from the people who made Elden Ring...but that could be enough to entice me to try it.
Blizzard Reveals 34 New Hearthstone Cards Coming in the Caverns of Time Expansion, New Signature Cards
No, they are saying that you might pull a signature card from a Caverns pack, but you can only use it in Wild.
This is a bit confusing, I agree!
Twist will contain certain expansions, not adventures. The signature cards are not all from those expansions.
