I used to host Fireside Gatherings back in the day (IN PERSON) and they were super fun. It was really neat to meet local players, run small tournaments, and just have fun playing Hearthstone with people! My gatherings usually had 6-12 people, but when Nemsy came out, there were over 50 people there that day. Proud to say I was able to help every one of them earn that skin (plus the Fireside Friends card back). Sad to see this go.
Yeah, but if you still have it, they can simply see you have two copies already. I guess they are only looking at the history and not your current collection, but it should be pretty easy to do so.
I'd prefer no DLC purely because I know they weren't holding anything back, which is something I feel happens in most games now, and I can get that full game experience by simply plugging in a cartridge.
If Ocarina of Time had DLC, there'd be carts out there that never got updated (and in some ways that is true with the various versions of OOT that exist with certain bugs fixed or music removed) so it would be a gamble if you were going to get the "full game" effect.

Wild heroic brawl is the biggest gold trap since competitive wild is just riddled with turn 3-4 combos that win games almost instantly. Even if you're a good player with tier 1 deck you have little chance to make this profitable.
They should make skins for 3 games a regular thing. That way you're essentially paying 1k gold for a skin just like in the shop and you get some extra packs

I did get Transmuted Peddler's Rain Hideout Decoration and do a lot of trading so quite happy with that although the Chaotic Peddler's Rain would be the more apt decoration considering everything is traded in chaos

Never really bothered about fireside gatherings to be honest. I dont get the hype of opening card packs early, because 90% of the time you'd either be cooking recipes early via external parties (hearthstone library, OoC, etc.) or you'd just be copying what the pros are doing.
At best opening your card packs early gives you a sense of relief perhaps. But I wouldn't know. Wouldn't matter much when the disappointment starts after pack opening anyway :P
As for the mass openings...well, Im not rich enough to ever understand the pain of having to open over 100 packs one at a time, so I feel confident to say that this feature is clearly not for me. But I feel Id be rather hardtasked to find any more than 1% of the total hearthstone playerbase that actually cares about mass openings.

Now there's barely any since everyone already opened packs and you already have an idea of what decks are bad. Hopefully this brings back a taste of those old times. I do not agree with their plans personally and I do not think having them available would consume that much resources.
Some communities really bennefited from them. At least in Argentina there where lots of public events from the community.
As for mass pack openings. I really enjoy checking my packs one by one and the whole feeling of checking each card's backlight but I know this will
do a lot of good for most players. Great they are doing it now.
