I like C'Thun quite a lot, and Jade Shaman too, but now's probably the best opportunity I have to flash my fancy golden N'Zoth, the Corruptor. Just...don't know what to do with it lol
Really enjoying this, even spent my gold on packs and will buy the miniset with money. I got one of the old legendaries from them, but I do not feel bad about it.
Tell me everyone. Are you going to make a Twisted section for our game modes for Hearthstone? I been playing as Jade druid but I wanna see more builds we could think of in this new game mode.
I definitely feel like we can't be too far off DH and DK getting added into the Twist mix, even if its briefly for a season here and there. The opportunity to get both of these classes a round of new cards is simply too great and it makes it a lot easier to incorporate them into future bits of content that may otherwise not feel a fair.
I just hope that a Frozen Throne Demon Hunter hero isn't as overpowered as some of the ones back in the day lol
Glad to hear you're having fun! This was one of my favourite metas back in the day and might need to squeeze some games in to relive a bit of the memories. So much Jade!
I hope the next Caverns of Time-type set includes legacy cards for Demon Hunter and Death Knight. I don't remember if Martian or Regis said this, but I would kill to get a KotFT Demon Hunter hero card and a Galakrond for Death Knight.
Feels good to be able to play Renolock and Dragon Priest again, even if they aren't the best decks out there. Now if only the format didn't remind me of my jade druid ptsd.
Just want to mention that putting both brann and thaurissan into those battle-ready decks for sale is kinda a dick move to reduce its actual value relative to the price paid. Even with three decks for 40 bucks, you're realistically only getting 3 legendaries and even then there's stuff like Fandral Staghelm which has been genuinely obsolete for some time now.
I'm still trying to figure out exactly which direction we want to head for this.
Previously, a lot of the folks that have come and gone from the team would add a single article to the site each week, maybe two if it was a particularly interesting week. Although I have nothing but love for those contributions and the people that created them, it becomes difficult to have a very large team of folks who aren't contributing a ton of content because there are very real costs involved in every person that is added to the team (mostly it is a time to train people thing). It has also been my experience that people who contribute so infrequently also tend to last very long, so I want to lean in the direction of "let's find people who want to post quality content 4-5 times a week at least on the site".
With that said, I think there is definitely a plus to having both kinds of people on our staff - more eyeballs in general keep everyone on their toes and it's something I miss having.
We're undergoing a lot of just different stuff though right now and we're getting close to opening up another round of staff applications to find new folks who want to come in and make this place awesome. Our biggest problem in attracting talent is the way our pay structure works (it's all revenue based, you get what you earn) which fluctuates with site traffic, the time of the year, and even just the topics at hand - so much time spent on Mercenaries content and Legends of Runeterra that never did particularly well.
One thing that I will say though is we're going to be moving in a direction of more about the community here, which is something that has unfortunately decreased over the years. I can't really explain more than that right now.
Flux, could you provide a few details on what the time commitment and expectations would be for these roles? I play Hearthstone (a lot, and exclusively) and I'm invested in the success of this website. However, I have a busy life (like most people, I'm sure) so I don't know if I would be able to give it the attention it deserves.
I gotta say, I really dig the all-red design and the subtle Mario on the reverse. The coins are a nice easter egg for all those times when you need to dig into the back to swap your HDMI cord with another console... not that I have to do that all the time or anything.
TVs and as an extension, AVRs need more HDMI ports. How am I supposed to plug all my things in at once with only 7?
Criticism is certainly deserved. We simply haven't been giving Hearthstone the care it deserves. Our team is a lot smaller than it used to be and not all of us are playing the game like we used to and in some cases some folks simply aren't around anymore at the usual times when content drops - life changes can suck for that!
Had I of been around yesterday, we'd have had the patch notes up when Blizzard posted them. The first thing I did when I woke up this morning was get the patch notes up and kickstarted our datamining process so that we can have fresh card images up later on.
This is, however, something I do want to change. We need to find a couple of dedicated, passionate Hearthstone players who can deliver timely and well-put-together articles for everyone. We certainly have the audience for it still and I'd rather people avoid the cesspool that are a couple of the other sites in the HS community if we can push out good content for them. Hearthstone will likely always be a pillar of our website and it's certainly important to know your roots.

Twist & Shout
I looked at the "battle ready" lists in the shop to get a starting point.
And I opened the new Paladin legendary, so I'm gonna have to figure out what to do with that!

Feels way faster than Old Gods Meta back then.
Still I am able to climb with my Jade-C`Thun-Rogue so far.
No strong deck, but I have fun at the moment.

Oh, so it's been seven months since we had a card back article. I knew it had been a while. I wouldn't have checked if it weren't for the tag.
Hearthstone's Caverns of Time Expansion Has Arrived Ahead of Twist's Launch Tomorrow
Also just letting you guys know that there's no duplicate protection on Caverns of times packs. It's mentioned in the known issues here: https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/hearthstone/t/272-known-issues/112122/87
Wouldn't recommend opening those packs till they fix the issue.

Ah shoot, I had this written down incorrectly on my calendar. We'll get a reminder up for folks soonish.
I had tomorrow, the launch of Twist, as being the date for Caverns of Time.

Theres also a wild expansion today apparently that I wasn't aware off. I don't play wild but I like to know all the updates to the game I play :(

Hey, at least there was a pop-up! And after I checked the dust refund situation, I took myself over to the official HS blog to get the details.
All good now.
I hadn't been wishing for a Hunter nerf, but I'll take it.
What the hell are these? Your decks don't have anything in them, are you just spamming the website?

Took the words right out of my mouth. I have always enjoyed this site, but I have unfortunately had to seek Hearthstone news/updates elsewhere lately.
