Probably something along the lines that the player gave the Peon a task to find a spell, naturally they would search something that the player would "know" how to cast. Idk.
More likely it's just for gameplay reasons: the pool is a bit more limited this way, and it's analogous to Wandmaker now.
Bad implementation flavor wise... if Mankrik is still alive, and you get to draw Mankrik's wife card, you get ANOTHER Mankrik attacking? Why am I suddenly seeing double??

Appears very potent to me, especially in arena.

Pretty awful unless they reveal something to support it.

Good in arena.

Pretty boring card.

Might be very good, or pretty mediocre. Depends on how consistently you get the 3/10 vs. how often playing a vanilla 3/4 screws you over.

That screams arena card to me.
