WoW is simply short for "World of Warcraft", so I often use the two terms interchangeably. I'm with you on the unique voice lines, although we wouldn't want so many that it would get old or overloaded.
This is perhaps the hardest to evaluate, but it really just boils down to what kind of player you really are in hearthstone. If, like me, you're one of those guys that alternate between serious laddering and playing weird non-meta decks, then having a larger collection of somewhat useless cards is the optimal way to go. In this case, its better to get the bundle, whether in gold or in cash, because its the better value compared with 20 packs.
But if you're one of those players that dusts every useless card available and hang around only in the tier 1-2 club, then I would agree with you that the mid set ain't worth the penny. I'll throw my predictions right now and say that pure pally will top the list, followed by tickatus/galakrond warlock, midrange aggro shaman, ramp dragon druid, and rogue (whether its stealth, weapon or secrets). Pally will have at least 3 archetypes viable at least. So by my estimate you'll need at least 7 unique commons, 5 unique rares and perhaps 1 legendary from this set. All in all, achievable in around 7 packs + 1600 dust.
This is the one time I would say that team5 got it right in terms of pricing and options. Its flexible enough that it doesn't feel forced; you can just get the good cards with dust and call it a day, or get the bundle for a price and feel like you've bagged a rather large butterfly in an open field. The choice is entirely up to you.
This is absolutely amazing. If for some reason this does not get discounted as other Librams (I'm pretty sure it will), it would still be decent, just expensive. But with discounts, this is amazing.
Very nice read! Little clarification as I don’t know much about WoW, is the fight against N‘Zoth part of wow or Warcraft?
I like these nuggets of hearthstone original lore very much and would love to see more ingame references. I feel like there is a ton of potential for alternate voice lines in specific encounters. Imagine Xanesh saying different things when he enters play against a N‘Zoth hero or when attacking a corrupted card himself.
Yeah, I'm into this. There are so many freeze effects, although Frost Nova looks like your best bet here. Makes me wish once again that there was a way to "recharge" a Spellburst effect.
The card art only looks that way because it's using HearthCards mockups instead of the actual card files. Once the cards are actually out, it should update them all to use the actual card files which will look cleaner.
This is very good! The ability to "bank" that spell damage for a later turn is amazing. So far, there is no counterplay to dormant, so your opponent cannot block this.
This plus the new Pheonix spell damage card can make for some BIG burst turn. Maybe works as some type of antonidas combo to fill your hand with fireballs, then just murder your opponent with burst.
Limited discover pool helps the card a bit; there are only a few whiffs. I think that it will be better in mage than rouge, because of the large value, though thief rouge will want to run this anyways. I do like the design though.
Great card. Discover is a very strong ability, and with such a limited pool, you are almost certain to find something useful. And it shouldn't be too hard to grab that second copy. I really like how this set combines set-specific mechanics.
If you will get the mini set tomorrow you can replace it with Moonfang who is good with handbuffs although Zixor, Apex Predator is still better. If you will not get the set try Tundra Rhino.
Remember when people thought the mech from galakronds awakening was going to be good? This is similar, but for beasts and playing instead of dying. Still not going to see play though,
Yes, Xanesh is riding a void wyrm, another odl god creature. I would perfer if she was more in the picture myself, but they wanted to give her a mount to make her fit in with the theme of racing for this mini-set.
Makes sure that the opponent has to deal with your board otherwise savage roar ends the game. Will be run in token druid, not much else tho. Treant druid lol.
The later in the game you play this, the better it will be. Probably better in druid than hunter then. I don't see this being that strong honestly, there are a lot of garbage neutral cards in every mana cost.
Just compare it to Knife Vendor to see how strong this new control vendor is. Knife Vendor has terrible base stats for a 4 drop and Armor Vendor has premium stats for a 1 drop.
You will almost always play this with the overload option unless one of the spells is really bad (totemic might, savagery, etc.). Otherwise, 1 mana add two spells to your hand is pretty good, though I think it will see more play in druid than shaman, might slightly bring back kael'thas a little.

Don´t worry. Eat this and you´ll be fine again :)
Great article anyway :)
I highly recommend against buying the mini xpac..

New Paladin & Priest Spell - Rally!
Help me out here, why are several people calling this OP in Paladin? What am I missing?
New Paladin Weapon - Libram of Judgment
This is absolutely amazing. If for some reason this does not get discounted as other Librams (I'm pretty sure it will), it would still be decent, just expensive. But with discounts, this is amazing.
New Paladin & Warrior Spell - Barricade
Dammit, you beat me to it. Great to compare this to Saronite Chain Gang or Phantom Militia.
But seriously, how long CAN this go on?

New Paladin Minion - Imprisoned Celestial
Woo Hoo! This card will be as fun as a Day at the Faire!
New Mage Minion - Glacier Racer
Yeah, I'm into this. There are so many freeze effects, although Frost Nova looks like your best bet here. Makes me wish once again that there was a way to "recharge" a Spellburst effect.

New Mage Spell - Conjure Mana Biscuit

New Mage Spell - Conjure Mana Biscuit
A.F. Kay does love her snacks!
This card looks really good to me. Synergizes with a whole variety of things. Maybe we see Mana Wyrm make a comeback? Or Mana Addict?
New Mage & Rogue Minion - Keywarden Ivory
Limited discover pool helps the card a bit; there are only a few whiffs. I think that it will be better in mage than rouge, because of the large value, though thief rouge will want to run this anyways. I do like the design though.

In aggro v aggro matchups, it might be a little bit useful. Otherwise slate is the name of the game.

OP!
Just compare it to Knife Vendor to see how strong this new control vendor is. Knife Vendor has terrible base stats for a 4 drop and Armor Vendor has premium stats for a 1 drop.

ooooof, time to hate libram pallys even more now x_x
New Druid & Shaman Spell - Guidance
