First off, your hero power border goes from plain to gold when you hit 500 wins. In addition, your hero and hero power becomes an animated "gif" at 500 wins. Then at 1000 wins you get an alternate hero portrait. You don't need further benefits. You don't need a "hero power border" for 1000 wins. Your reward at 1000 wins is the alternate hero portrait.
Lastly, your wording echoes my first statement: petulant and entitled. "Blizzard has not provided us" instead of "It would have been nice if blizzard updated the hero power to reflect 1k wins". How about you enjoy the game for what it is? And if Blizzard decides to make additional rewards, great. If not, no skin off your nose. If you constantly need validation and digital accolades from playing a game then nothing will ever make you happy.
Thank you for this walk down memory lane! I miss Day9! One of my favorite clips of all time was him aiming a minion at his opponent's face despite there being a taunt in the way, and his opponent concedes, and Day9 is like "We got him!" So much lolz.

Winslow is pure RNG-fiesta to me. Seems a good Hearthstone card, but I really don't like this level of RNG. Elegant Spellmaster in other hand is a very unique way of decreasing the cost of spells. I don't know how much is worth change the damage output for cost decrease, but to me is a 5 star and a winner competidor card easy.

Giant Prize is a easy winner. Scarlet Vanguard remembers me Rabble Bouncer, but in the powerful side. A good card, but Giant Prize is the one.
For me it was kinda hard, because I don´t like the look of the skins. Only one I like is Gul'Dan, but I´m heading towards 1000 win Warlock portrait, which is the best imo, so I went with Rexxar, because I´m a Hunter main with many S/W decks, so I can have different skin for every deck now.
Gul'dan? Yuck, I'll put that one off for another 9 expansions :P Seriously though, it's good that different people like different ones as it would feel less significant if everyone picks the same one. I'm with @Alleria on my general thoughts though: there aren't many that I really like, and I prefer the less cartoon-y artwork of the basic portraits in most cases.
I personally went with Valeera because I'm a rogue main and am probably biased so thought she looked the best anyway. She also has the advantage that she is a lot more unique than many options when compared to alternative portraits of the same characters. That will likely continue when she eventually gets her Book of Heroes one and the Tavern Pass ones, especially with regards to the colour palette since red with green and gold details has always been her style (she is a proud blood elf after all) so she's unlikely to be going with black and orange again.
In the end though, there are no wrong choices, and even if you later decide you prefer another, it'll only be 4 months before you can choose it. (I'm assuming these will be around for 10 expansions.)
I'm going to have to decide soon-ish, too and haven't really made up my mind either. Demon Hunter, Priest and Shaman just don't look good in my eyes. Warlock and Warrior are nice enough, but for those classes I prefer my N'Zoth and Deathwing skins. Which leaves me with Druid, Rogue and Paladin. I'll probably go with Paladin, because I like the default Druid skin and Blizzard will hopefully provide us with a male Rogue skin with one of the next expansions.
Winslow is basically broken. In control, druid, or any combo deck, you can just get a free win out of nowhere simply by getting lucky, or setup in such a way that its virtually guaranteed to get, say a 0 mana Malygos. Makes it too advantageous playing second by having the coin in hand. There's no way of balancing this I'm afraid. The effect is simply game breaking.
Lotus Seeker is really good design for druid. Maybe a little too good. Druid plays few if any minions, so its virtually ensuring that its effect will almost always be beneficial to itself. The secondary choice will almost never be chosen, unfortunately.
It also has a strange problem of essentially nullifying itself when both choice are taken, like under osiris tear or fandral.
Probably priest for me. I like it more than the 1000 win portrait, although default Anduin's already pretty good. I do play my fair share of priests, so its my first choice.
Rogue's good, but I kinda like Maiev as my rogue main anyway, and the default Valeera isn't really bad herself. Thrall's a good one too, but since we get to choose only one I'll have to pass this time.
Pretty unique design, although the "complex math" required for the calculation doesn't seem very Hearthstone-y.

However, if you decide to go with Trustworthy Pact-Seller, her text should read "Your cards cost (1) less…". Verbs only have a final s when they're third person singular ("Your card costs", but "Your cards cost").

Very interesting effect, reminds me of Fatespinner a little bit.
My main issue is that she seems very strong right now. Maybe a 3/3 statline would be more balanced. Also, her name could be a bit better, but that's not too bad of an issue.

Winslow Tobtock seems too crazy to me, while Elegant Spellmaster strikes me as very hard to use.
I don't know if you could get away with making Elegant Spellmaster a 1/1/3 or something similar, but that might be too easy to use in return.

I appreciate completing cycles, but both seem a bit bland. I don't think this can be fixed, since the Studies cycle is a bit narrow.
That said, if you decide to go with either of them, I can photoshop a background for you :) Seeing the images, it doesn't seem too difficult.

I hit 50 last night, and can't make up my mind between Garrosh, Valeera, Gul'Dan and possibly Rexxar. Would be interested to know what everyone else is going for, and the thinking behind it.
Had plenty of experiences that i hardly had any time left on prize turns, because i got good prices and couldn't decide which one to pick. Even lost games because of that some times. I feel like all the price turns should get an additional 5-10 seconds of time, so you can both pick the price and still have enough time to actually play out your turn. Also at the start of each turn you have to wait until the prize "shuffle" thing dissapears, which means you pretty much lose about 5 seconds each non-price turn guaranteed... Why don't they just remove that animation, and instead just add that card without an animation playing?
Well either that or they should speed up animations in general. There are plenty of battlecry minions that take FOREVER to trigger, and i personally dislike that you need to wait until the battlecry animations finishes before you can even sell the minion. These things are also why it's so ANNOYING to play battlegrounds on mobile.
Speaking about MOBILE, The animations take so LONG on mobile, like it feels like it takes DOUBLE the time before the animation finishes! And OFTEN the rope/timer shows that you have about 10 seconds left and then instantly goes into 0 seconds left and throws you into battle. It's so annoying when you think you got some time left but actually do not, i and some friends of mine have lost MANY games because if this.
I just hope they fix these things like these and make battlegrounds more enjoyable to play, because i'm really tired of having to restart HS after every battlegrounds game and running out of time while it looks like i still have plenty of time left.

even with the next 35 cards in miniset? I know it's not that much, but I would like to get every bit of XP to help buy packs, especially when they keep releasing mini set everytime from now. I can only hope they can give us a few helper along the way (gold or packs) when each miniset hit.
You can only get the Duels xp during Darkmoon, I think they've said the xp goes away with the next expansion's reward track. Unless they figure out more achievements for the format, there shouldn't be any xp there anymore.
The other upcoming new game mode, however, could get some.
