  • New Shaman Minion - Inara Stormcrash

Support for The Runespear in wild (?
    But seriously, incredible card.

  • New Shaman Weapon - Whack-A-Gnoll Hammer

yeah though the same, also the class hero power mostly guarantees that the +1+1 will go somewhere.

  • New Shaman Minion - Cagematch Custodian

Is it me or does 2 mana elementals look the same in shaman?

  • New Neutral Minion - Claw Machine

I mean, I don't think this will see constructed, but it is a good pick for Arena.

  • New Priest Minion - Nazmani Bloodweaver

PS. If you reduce the mana of a corruptable card (from 4 to 3) that card will be corrupted if you play a 4 mana card? Or needs to play a card with cost higher than original cost?

I haven't seen any confirmations, but I would imagine the original cost the be the one to matter. Might be wrong though.

Damn that's going to be some weird spaghetti code there x_x

Regardless, this card will see play in different archetypes, coz mana cheating is how you play HS these days... it seems

It's worthwhile to note that whichever way the code works, this will benefit Corrupt cards (assuming it's consistent). If only the original mana cost matters, you can discount more expensive cards and play them to Corrupt sooner. If the discounted cost matters, then you can Corrupt by playing cheaper cards and still get those bombs out sooner.

Maybe there's a spell-heavy tempo Corrupt Priest build out there.

Tavern brawl with a DH. You will obtain decent cards and still manage to last long in battle and use it plenty of times.

  • New Neutral Minion - Claw Machine

Best comparison would be Evasive Wyrm. Wyrm is better in more midrange-y where a deal 5 to a minion comes with board presence, but on very control oriented decks Claw Machine is a prefered option for the solt/function as a card.

I argue that dragons have to be weak to combat tricks to be a fair deck.

If you buff dragons so much that combat tricks do not really harm them anymore they become lowkey op as one of the most basic and boring to play/play against archetypes.

I could see that in general, but with Shyvana in particular : you want to be able to flip her at least 50% to justify her inclusion in your decklist, and since her quest requires her to see and survive ~3 dragons striking she feels really bad when she dies to an early trick. Building off what Sykomyke writes below: being able to kill more things or build card advantage is never bad, but at the same time -- if you aren't flipping her more consistently, why not just cut down on the dragons and build a more consistent Demacia/Bannerman style deck instead?

  • New Priest Spell - Palm Reading

I play priest and I hate playing against priest, even with priest, so I understand.

There is absolutely a ton of stuff we don't know about the new progression and achievement systems. The issue is that Blizzard still hasn't talked a whole lot about them. As far as I'm aware, beyond the initial announcement stream and the subsequent articles posted that day, they haven't talked any more about it.

Once we can finally get our hands on them, you can absolutely expect the progression and achievement guides to be updated.

Yeah, we don't have a lot of clues, unless the staff has a mole at Blizzard, they should be as clueless as us, mortal men.

  • Carnival Barker is a New Paladin Card Revealed for Hearthstone's Darkmoon Faire Expansion

But isn't it actually a nerf of Penflinger? Because the animation of the stat buff after every Penflinger play will make your turn shorter.

  • New Priest Spell - Idol of Y'Shaarj

I think it's actually a lot different than Shadow Essence.

Shadow Essence is used for getting smaller versions of big cards, but Idol of Y'Shaarj can be used to create a big version of a card that is much better when bigger, like anything with Rush or Charge or Lifesteal, or stuff that snowballs when it sticks (but usually doesn't stick due to small health).

  • Nazmani Bloodweaver is a New Priest Card Revealed for Hearthstone's Darkmoon Faire Expansion

I wouldn't be surprised if they at least experiment with it a bit.

I'll definitely try it in Control Priest, since there are some premium-but-high-Cost AoEs, like Plague of Death or Psychic Scream.

  • When will we get a neutral legendary for aggro?

I'd love to get another neutral aggro legendary, but in my opinion, it feels like it's easier to design slower legendaries because you can more often put on a flashy effect to give the card some 'wow' factor. Things like the Kazakus or any of the three Renos are a lot more flashy and cool for less enfranchised players than something like Leeroy and Patches, who are both great cards but are essentially just a more expensive neutral fireball and a 1/1 that comes into play when you play a pirate.

All that being said, we technically got a neutral aggro legendary in the form of [Hearthstone Card (Lorekeeper Pokelt) Not Found], who's good in both forms of Aggro hunter, but that definitely feels like a copout. Especially when you consider the fact it also sees play in a lot of other style of decks because the effect is just a good one.

  • Oh My Yogg!

I think this card is gonna be good in hyper aggressive paladin lists to play on curve with your opponents board clear

  • Reminder: Final Day to Clear Out Your Quest Log Before Hearthstone's New Progression System Hits

Not a dig against OoC's excellent articles, but I'm correct that there's a TON we don't know about the progression and achievement systems right?

  • New Priest Minion - Nazmani Bloodweaver

It's a random card in hand, so you can't really count on it for specific combos unless you are able to pop off hard the turn you play it.

It's still really good, though, even if it just lets you get big stuff out early or chain out one more card in a pinch.

  • Nazmani Bloodweaver is a New Priest Card Revealed for Hearthstone's Darkmoon Faire Expansion

At 3 mana it would fit in nicely with reno priest, but the question is do you really neeed it in that deck, and the unfortunate answer is probably no? I've never really found the cards too costly in reno priest but idk maybe it will be good

  • Idol of Y'Shaarj is a New Priest Card Revealed for Hearthstone's Darkmoon Faire Expansion

So, theoretically you want to use this to either cheat on costs with a 9/10 cost minion, or use it to buff a smaller minion that can use the stat boost.

That means that Darkmoon Rabbit is the best card you can possibly use this on! It fulfills both of those requirements, while the cleave even synergizes nicely with the power boost!

Although in all seriousness, use it on Vargoth/Infiltrator/Catrina/ Big Priest targets. It might also be good if priest (or neutral) gets a Lifesteal, Rush card. Otherwise, it's too slow. RIP Zilliax.

  • New Shaman Minion - Cagematch Custodian

Flavor's a bit strange, but I'm sure I'll get used to it, considering we're going to be seeing a lot of it over the next year or so.

  • New Shaman Weapon - Whack-A-Gnoll Hammer

A 3-mana 3/2 weapon with +2/+2 stats attached is way better than "fine."

  • New Neutral Minion - Claw Machine

I could kind of see this card seeing some play in any deck that wants to resurrect deathrattles like the new hunter card Jewel of N'Zoth.  Ressurecting cards with keywords like Rush is always strong because it allows you to impact the board on your big value turn.  The +3/+3 effect on this card also scales with some deathrattle cards hunter might play like Bloated Python, Augmented Porcupine, etc. and makes those cards quite strong to play for their small mana cost in the late game with the buffs.

This also curves into Darkmoon Tonk, which idk if you run that card but it is worth considering.

You wouldn't hate hitting face with this and getting the draw from Maxima Blastenheimer

And this is all just hunter stuff.

It's got a tribal tag and good text.  I think this card will see some play honestly.  There are too many little good things goin on for it to never find a deck.

  • New Priest Minion - Nazmani Bloodweaver

Hmm interesting card. Kinda similar to Radiant Elemental but worse. Radiant Elemental is still a gross card. From what i can tell so far, it seems like were getting mana cheat priest as an archetype. Which is probably very unfun to play against, and that's a perfect description of a priests play-style. Alright i'll stop with the banter...

Nazmani Bloodweaver has one thing over Radiant Elemental though: It's better with expensive cards like Idol of Y'Shaarj. But now we still gotta see what other kind of big pay-off card this archetype will get.. because outside of Idol of Y'Shaarj, what else fits in this architype? What do you even summon a 10/10 copy off?

The only combo i really see is 2x Nazmani Bloodweaver + Sethekk Veilweaver and pretend like your doing a 2x Radiant Elemental + Lyra the Sunshard combo... But in this new combo's case, you are trying to discount big spells instead of chaining small spells into Mind Blasts...

Standard: Pretty sure this goes in some kind of value/control Galakrond shaman. Maybe this new mana cheat priest deck, but i'm too unsure about this archetype so far...

Wild: Pretty much wont see play i'm guessing. Radiant Elemental is a gross card this is in most cases better than Nazmani Bloodweaver.
