  • Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look Premieres August 27 on Netflix and YouTube

I'm surprised it's only 6 hours considering this is like THE game of the decade. But that was clearly worth it for Netflix no matter what they paid, it gets their name involved deeper into gaming.

  • Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look Premieres August 27 on Netflix and YouTube

Netflix?! Guess they're really trying to reach as wide an audience as possible, huh?

And 6 hours difference? Did Netflix seriously pay for 6 hours of exclusivity on an ad?

  • Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass Part 1: Bubbly Basin Dives Into Nintendo Switch 2

Don't forget the new portal storage option, the water placement fix, the item stacking and sorting update and my personal favorite: being able to appraise up to 10 relics at a time! 😍

  • EA's Acquisition by PIF, Silver Lake, and Affinity Partners Officially Closes

Oh it’s only going to get worse. As soon as private equity moves in to anything everything goes to shit. I’m certain their goal is to boost financials and then flip EA to the next set of suckers.

  • EA's Acquisition by PIF, Silver Lake, and Affinity Partners Officially Closes

Somehow I feel like this will do absolutely nothing to improve on all of the problems EA has had for so long now.

I'm guessing despite it saying M1 or newer for Mac, it's still running x86 code.

  • Path of Exile 2 Devs Finally Beat an 18-Month Nvidia Driver Bug by Shipping Nvidia an Entire PC

Yeah! 0.5 is so good I'm scared of 1.0. Definetely happy this league lasted those 3 extra months.

ExileCon made me want to visit New Zealand, just to be there and see what's next. No cash for this year tho, but if they keep this quality, I'll have to go sometime.

Keep the POE content coming gentlemen!

  • Riftbound Celebrates Its First Year With a Second State of the Game and a Roadmap Toward 2027

That's awesome to hear! I've had trouble finding packs which is the only big issue right now with physical TCGs since people are using it as a stupid investment mechanism.

Riot has some really solid mechanics and most importantly, that worldbuilding. It's such a shame Legends of Runeterra didn't really work, but Riftbound is such a better name so it died so this could thrive.

  • Path of Exile 2 Devs Finally Beat an 18-Month Nvidia Driver Bug by Shipping Nvidia an Entire PC

WhiteDoge! Long time no see :)

Yeah the crashes were bad enough I had considered quitting but I kept pushing on because it was still fun. Juiced up to maximize rares for Headhunter annnnd yup sometimes I was hitting those every 10 minute crashes too. Nothing worse than getting killed coming out of a driver crash.

Since the update yeah things have been smoooooooth. Even POE1 seems to have received a slight framerate boost with the latest drivers which is cool to see.

I cannot wait to see how everything evolves with the 1.0 drop. 0.5 feels so good, I never thought I'd want to play POE2 over POE1 but here we are dreaming about what 1.0 will bring. I can't wait for POE2 to have a dozen active league mechanics and just be a total clusterjoy.

Speaking of clusters, wtb cluster jewels back lol

  • Path of Exile 2 Devs Finally Beat an 18-Month Nvidia Driver Bug by Shipping Nvidia an Entire PC

I barely comment here anymore, but had to talk about this one.

I've been playing POE2 every league now, and this is the first time I'm actually enjoying the endgame.

This is not a small update, crashes were happening once every 10 minutes for big maps, with multiple rare enemies filled with modifiers. The experience was bad.

This update changed everything. This shows how the game is being VERY well engineered. The bottleneck was an external dependency.

It's refreshing to support a game that's evolving like wine instead of milk.

  • Riftbound Celebrates Its First Year With a Second State of the Game and a Roadmap Toward 2027

I have moved on to this game after becoming fed up with Hearthstone's predatory money transaction strategies, I'm really enjoying it. The game isn't too hard to learn and has a huge amount of meta variety, and there's a lot of complexity too if you look for it. Helps too that there's a thriving scene in my city, with long-term players and many new people constantly coming in to give it a go.

  • Hearthstone Patch 36.2 Launches Tomorrow - New Battlegrounds Season, New In-Game Events, Minimum Requirements Increased

Somehow I'm surprised that it's taken them this long to "fix" a "bug" and break an achievement in the process.

  • Hearthstone Patch 36.2 Launches Tomorrow - New Battlegrounds Season, New In-Game Events, Minimum Requirements Increased

"Fixed a bug where Jailhouse Manastorm could summon minions that cost more than 10 mana."

Maybe I'm just confused by this wording, but that is literally an achievement: summon an 11 cost minion with Jailhouse Manastorm. (I used that Kirin Tor card that gives spell damage but also raises cost.)

  • Easy Delivery Co. Is A Driving Simulator That's Both Cozy and Terrifying

Easy Delivery Co. sounds like a fascinating mix of comfort and tension — the kind of game where a quiet snowy drive can suddenly become a real challenge. The retro PS1-inspired style, lonely mountain roads, and the simple goal of making deliveries create a surprisingly atmospheric experience. There’s something charming about a cozy game that still keeps you alert with harsh weather and risky routes. It’s always great to see small indie projects bringing unique ideas to life. • What Are You Playing? - Ambitious August 2026

Oh boy, another month has gone by and it feels like just yesterday it was July 1. RIP time.

This month I'm planning on playing RuneScape Dragonwilds, I'd like to chill with some Pokopia with that new update hitting in the middle of the month, and Path of Exile 2 is certainly going to get some more play.

Also I'll be playing Reelfest here on Out of Games! Oh and my Steam game page goes live this month so I'll be sure to break the news when that happens so I'll be playing that too (though I've been playing that quite a bit during development haha).

Path of Exile 2 - I'm still having fun with it, not playing it daily anymore but I'm sitting at almost 170 hours for the expansion. My review has been a work in progress for the update, and I just feel that it's too wordy. There's just so much I have to say about the game and it's turned into such a wild essay that it's difficult to digest. I really wish i had of recorded most of my gameplay because it would have made for an amazing video essay. I'm still finalizing the wording, I'm really looking to get this out sometime this month to then have going into the full release later this year as a comparison point. The game is so solid though. Anyone who loves an ARPG and maybe found Path of Exile 1 to be too much, Path of Exile 2 does a better job at that, at least for now because the game is a bit simpler. That's not to say it's dumbed down, because it isn't, but it doesn't have as many seasonal systems yet and we're looking at incredible quality of life changes. The passive points tree is still intimidating for new players, but it's easy to just embrace it because it isn't as penalizing to respec down the line.

  • This is how I'm finding out that resale contains "laser" backwards because I found laser and thought of laser disc drives, so I was trying to find something related to lasers.

    Then I spotted it.

  • Dungeons & Dragons New Roadmap Shows WoW, Star Wars, & More

I 100% expect to see a WoW Secret Lair before the end of the year at the very least. A full on expansion though I'm on the fence about just because of the existence of Hearthstone. It would make for an insane set if they did do it.
