After years of not logging into OoG (but still visiting every week) I got here just in time for the 2nd season of Sidequest (Sept 2026). Perfect timing, because the Halloween-themed Oozefest (Oct '26) was when things started to get really interesting. For the first time ever we got to fight bosses – together as a community.
After beating the first 2 bosses relatively easily, we were struggling quite a bit with boss #3 – Mother Spindle, matron of the silk woods. She was a horrible giant spider. A real challenge for our community, and at the time of writing this it wasn't looking good that we would bring her to her (8) knees in time.
We would need more people joining the fight. More people getting in 5 hits every day, not just 3. More people eating high quality candy before their hits. And lastly, though this is where it may get a little time-consuming: More people who pack a punch – better gear!🤷🏻♂️
That being said, I was really curious to see how Flux would react to our dire situation. I really wanted to obtain Spindlesilk Loop, Mother Spindle's epic ring. It came with +10% Material Preservation – an attribute I had never seen before! But it should have felt well-deserved, so changing the HP or time parameters was a decision Flux would not have made lightly. Time was going to tell how it all turned out:)
