I think this might be interesting in libram paladin, even if this archetype looks not so strong. Otherwise it looks fun to play, u know card generation...
maybe you will see this with Garrison Commander for a 4 mana pyroblast the turn after you play this... I imagine Demon Hunters will be bad in wild for some time though.
it SEEMS REALLY POWERFUL but upon further inspection it's not deal 10 damage it's deal 5 over 2 turns or Deal 10 damage for 10 mana.
lemme explain:
5 Mana "change your hero power to deal 5" means you need to invest 6 mana initially for that 5 damage.
If you want to deal 10 in a turn, you'd need to use that 3 mana wood sprite card that refreshes your hero power to use it again.
5 + 1 + 3 + 1 = 10 mana, it's a super clunky pyro blast that way
Now, dealing 5 damage that can go face is still strong, but it might be a better tool for say Control so your minions can get past taunts if that other legendary minion isn't on the board.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if an Empower-like mechanic makes it into Hearthstone. And Doomseer is definitely the type of card you'd like to see using it, exploring the full potential of the keyword by offering strong flexibility for different matchups.
It is an interesting card. But it can't quite work like Lyra, because it can give you spells that don't target. Priest has several of those. And no way to reduce the costs of spells unless you run Galakrond.
It is draw for Hunter, that has to be decent. But again, they would have to run beasts. Though, just a couple of really good ones or a full beast build?
I really hope we get to see more Librams down the line in future expansions: it's a cool mechanic and one that's very fitting for the Paladin. Please don't let this become a one-off :(
It's not rush, but it is a 2/1 for 1 and hunter like their aggressive minions. They'd have to go back to a beast build to really make use of this minion. Not sure that's the way they'll go.
Obviously going to be good if the Libram Package functions well; you could make it cost zero! Going straight into a Pure Paladin. You don't even need to discount it (but why would you not try).
I think it is playable. There's a couple of board clears in the game that leave the board empty. This is a fine way to both repopulate it and do 12 to face.
Respectfully disagree. High mana cards are meant to be game-swinging bombs; contrast with Brightsteel Formation, Minah Swiftfoot, She Who Wanders, and Warmother's Call. I do admit that Harrowing + Hecarim is disgusting, but I think that's moreso Hecarim's fault than Harrowing.
Add on top of this: all 5 of the aforementioned cards have fallen out of meta favor recently, which is no coincidence. The only decks that want to go past Round 10 are relying on either Karma, Ezreal, or (depending on generous you classify the meta) Anivia--everything else wants (read: NEEDS) to close out the game earlier. That's a big problem, IMHO.
I hadn't considered it's use in the Druid's sidequest. But yeah, the fact that is a big minion with Rush and an upside should make this useful in an embiggen deck.
Hmm, pretty sure the card that draws you a beast or the one that resurrects a beast will be rotating out. So you don't need to worry about contaminating your rezz pool.
I hate Murlocs, and I'm tired of seeing Murloc Paladin being supported. The card is fine enough, but come on: the archetype is a joke that got out of hand :/
As for what I'm looking forward to, apart from the new class, is priest. I'll be trying to make zoo priest again, and almost certainly fail. Dragon priest, I'm not really seeing it. Honestly, I'm not sure what priest will do. But that's half the fun, when you can figure it out for yourself.
And I probably will try to make a pure spell mage. Or Secret Mage.
The Librams have really sold me on the Paladin this expansion: they're my favorite new archetype going in. Libram of Hope is good enough at 9-mana, but will really shine with some love from Aldor Attendant/Aldor Truthseeker.
I hate Murlocs, but I like this card. Thankfully it doesn't have to be run in a Murloc deck: it can function on its own as a board refill later in the game. Divine Shield keeps your new fishy friends from being immediately destroyed, so hopefully they'll be of some use. Overall, pretty solid.

I'm really excited to see if the Mage only spell archetype works. Mage is my favourite class and I'm really exited about it!
Also Demon Hunter seems lots of fun to play :-)

or even just to protect minions, etc.

Pretty much mainly excited for Warrior this time around, really liking the two legendaries for the class
New Priest Minion - Sethekk Veilweaver
It is an interesting card. But it can't quite work like Lyra, because it can give you spells that don't target. Priest has several of those. And no way to reduce the costs of spells unless you run Galakrond.

New Demon Hunter Minion - Wrathspike Brute
Can't wait to drop this against Galakrond Warlock!!!

New Druid Spell - Glowfly Swarm
I want to like it, but I would have preferred continued support for the treant archetype.
New Druid Minion - Marsh Hydra

New Paladin Minion - Imprisoned Sungill
I understand not giving the Paladin an Imprisoned Demon - not every Demon is Lothraxion - but come on. Murlocs? Gross.
New Neutral Minion - Maiev Shadowsong
New Paladin Weapon - Underlight Angling Rod
I hate Murlocs, and I'm tired of seeing Murloc Paladin being supported. The card is fine enough, but come on: the archetype is a joke that got out of hand :/

It will see some play through random card generation.
