in the opening hand, it can be used for tempo against agro or drawing to set up against combo.

The twinspell makes up for the fact that you are a card behind after drawing the quest in the opening hand. Also great when you throw down Ysera, who will definitely become a Quest Druid finisher in slower meta

Favourite moment of 2019 was the continued story line, with what was effectively a “greatest hits” compilation. Seeing old characters and revamped mechanics really brought back a lot of Hearthstone nostalgia!

hopefully 2020 will bring the continuation of the developers new approach to meta control. Reviewing the state of the meta, nerfing, buffing, adding new cards (in the form of adventures) between expansions, and doing more to ensure that the meta doesn’t go stale for weeks on end.

side note: I’m personally excited for a clean slate in standard for the next rotation. A lot of unplayable cards and pack fillers were printed over the last couple of years, and sadly, so many rubbish epics and legendaries. I’m looking forward to the new year beginning with the core set from year of the dragon and seeing how the next expansions build off that. Goodbye Duskfallen Aviana

The introduction of Battlegrounds is what I liked the most the past year.

I'm looking forward to all the new cool cards and mechanics they'll release this year.

The best moment of 2019 for me was the decrease in developer response time—the quick nerfs to different cards.

I look forward in 2020 that there will be more old-adventure style mini-expansions like the upcoming Galakronds Awakening, I hope there's more content similar to this.

Hope for 2020: that they keep up with balancing the game often and bring cool new cards.

My favorite moment from 2019: Has to be Battlegrounds, no questions there. It made me even more addicted to HS.

My favorite moment from 2019 was Battlegrounds.

I'm looking forward to (hopefully) Whizbang going evergreen this year before the next set is launched.

My favourite moment of 2019 as definitely Battlegrounds. Even though I don't play it that much anymore, it's good to see the devs are trying new things.

What I'm looking forward the most in 2020 are new buffs. I loved the Rise of the Mech because of it and I'd love to see it again. I hope that if we get new buffs, that they're going to the Classic Set. 

Favourite moment of 2019: Blizzard giving my beloved Tyrande for everyone. This always has been the hero I wanted most but sadly my country was not eligible to claim her back then.

Looking forward to in 2020: I'm anticipating big changes in the game, something that changes standard format as we know it (like rework of Classic set). Well, not exactly anticipating, but certainly hoping :-)

Haven't played the game yet but from what I saw (at least for champions) regions seems to have some consistency on a couple of given theme. Might be wrong I count a bit on my CCG experience from previous games.

Noxus for example seems dedicated to aggression and/or fast decks. Piltover & Zaun looks rather comboish/spell based and winning through constant nexus damage from spells and champions effect. Freljord looks definitely control oriented so for slower decks. Demacia looks heavily based on board presence regardless of your strategy (even Fiona which looks very controlish is based on trading enemies), with the exception of Lux which looks rather spell focused. Shadow Isles seems based on board generation on a general manner and oppressive plays (through fearsome).

I have an harder time classing Ionia, they look more diverse, the jack of all trade kind. Zed is pure aggro, Shen looks midrange/control, Karma is ramp/control and Yasuo is... no clue, midrange/combo maybe ?

I used those impression to decide my starting factions (Ionia/Freljord), maybe you could just consider the champions and decide which kind you like?

Favourite moment of 2019: HCT world championship finals last match. The most exciting match I have ever seen in Hearthstone and I have been playing since closed beta.

The one Hearthstone thing I am looking forward to most in 2020 is, hopefully, changes to make the game fresh again (and not another game mode like Battlegrounds).

My favorite moment of 2019 is easy, it was watching the HCT world championship final, where Hunterace played on another level, generally i really like seeing his plays and the final games were insane.

What i hope for 2020 is to have a great meta, where a lot of decks see play and with a lot of sperimentations; possibly not an highroll meta but a a meta where every play matter.
