That's Discover, add works for any class unless of course its specified, but doesn't tend to be. So Umbral Geist would work like you said, adding card from any class.
Although Vision would prolly Discover from another class if the class has no shadow spells if you somehow get it, I guess.
I was worrying that Spell DH was just dead on arrival because stuff like JAce and Xy'mox are just too crucial to just be left out but this completely fixes the problem.
What an amazing way to allow a deck to play around its building reestrictions for only a slight detriment.
That Scythe is so cool! Not only does it remove the minions from your deck to help with Spell DH, it massively improves consistency on those minions by basically allowing you to run 3 copies of the first one you Discover. I love it, might just be my favorite card this expansion!
Would be kinda nuts if it wasn't for the Fire Spells being somewhat expensive or clunky.
MIght be better in the future with more available fire spells, but for now it might be too inconsistent (then again I could be wrong and just running two Fire spells total might be enough because you don't need to revive it every turn)
5 star card all around, very easy to discount and can see play in several Warrior decks just because at worst it'll usually be Arcane Intellect (since the hero is usually damaged at some point)
Could be decent, because a 4-mana 4/2 weapon is just flexible, but the buff being so attack-heavy makes it somewhat moot on anything that doesn'T have Charge.
Could be somewhat reasonable in a slower Enrage Warrior because that deck tends to run low-attack, high-health minions.
Honestly don't see this being good. Most of the Fire stuff revealed procs of already damaged minions, so you can't use this as an enabler unless you wanna waste your payoffs.
Not to mention most of the Fire spells are somewhat expensive so it'S hard to chain procs
So just a third copy of a spell of your choosing? Sounds good enough to me honestly. Imagien copying one of Azshara's Relics, or just extra burn, more Shadowsteps.
The possibilites are...fairly limited, but the outcomes are usually good.
Still feels a tad boring for a legendary, but I guess it would be broken as a two-of
Death's Shadow (-> Shadow Reflection), Shadow of Death, and now Shadow of Demise. All rogue 'cards' that copy other cards, accounting for the shadow part of their name. I still haven't worked out the thematic link they have with death, though I must be missing something as it's impressively consistent.
Anyway, the flashiest use I can think of for this currently is as a 3rd Contraband Stash, but really this is one of those cards that is just good anywhere, even if it only copies something mundane.
Actually it would only enrich Vision of Darkness if you get a copy of it. Discover is Neutral and Class exclusive unless it specifically states so.
Anyways, this card seems incredibly powerful in almost any Rogue deck; some decks will get more value of another copy of either key spells or cheap combo cards to further enhance their turn. Very versatile too.
Not sure that making Rogue decks have a 29 card maximum was great for Hearthstone, but okay.
Honestly, given how much gets discovered and generated, the difference may be negligible.
But it says something when a card like this is announced and you ask yourself what can you do that you couldn't before in a best-case scenario and the answer is . . . mostly the same stuff.
This is going to be a fun card to copy and/or steal, though, so maybe that's the upside, fun-wise.
It's a wonderful card to discover/generate. (In fact I suspect it has been created solely to enrich Umbral Geist and Vision of Darkness discover pool)
If there's any spell in your decklist worth its spot, it is preferable to get that opportunity to copy it; rather than virtually any other random garbage you might have got.
I'm not sure it will find itself a spot in most list though. It suffer from the comparison with card like Grey Sage Parrot. Powercreep is a bitch. :-/
That being said, competitive deck love consistency, which that card can provide in a lot of scenario.
I would not craft it; but I'd be moderately happy to open one.
It's...okay. Is "okay" enough of a payoff to warrant going Fire Warrior? No, of course not, which is why my hype for this teased archetype has fallen off a cliff now that it's a known entity. We needed something big and punchy, maybe even flashy, and this is not that.
Could this be setup for later, a future where the archetype receives more support and becomes legitimate a la Freeze Shaman? Theoretically yes, I suppose, but is that realistically gonna happen? Because Hearthstone is a graveyard of one-off "archetypes" that were around for a week before disappearing to the abyss, and that could easily happen again here.
That's massive, slow and gimmicky... Not too sure if this can be reliable and/or even valuable , but it makes me want to try and play some Big Shammy. Is this fun? Possibly! Is this going to be meta defining? Probably not!

3 New Demon Hunter Cards Revealed for Hearthstone's March of the Lich King Expansion by Roffle
that weapon made me want to play this archetype
New Shaman Spell - From De Other Side
Slow, gimmicky and doesn't even produce lasting effects. What's the actual fucking point of waiting until turn 10 to play this?
Hell, even if you tried to cheese it with Sorceress you'd still need a good amount of targets in hand for it to even be worth it.
It can't even go face.
HOW DID YOU PRINT A WORSE FLARK'S BOOMZOOKA?

On one hand this could be really nuts, on the other it needs to be at least +3/+3 to be worth it gets outperformed by Imbued Axe at every stage.
Could be good in Enrage Warrior but could also be too clunky.
New Warrior Spell - Sunfire Smithing
Could be decent, because a 4-mana 4/2 weapon is just flexible, but the buff being so attack-heavy makes it somewhat moot on anything that doesn'T have Charge.

New Rogue Spell - Shadow of Demise
Wut, really ?! As I understand it, discover/add a shadow spell implicitely fetch from all class's shadow spell pool.
Otherwise, how would Umbral geist works for class which don't have any shadow spell ??
Or is it that "add" effect fetch from all class, and "discover" effect fetch only from the current class ?

FYI, seems like Team5 has finally acknowledged this issue and a fix will be part of the next big 25.0 patch. Better late than never I guess.
