The payoff of this spell is much better than Mark of Scorn. The 1/1 Illidari can be used to pick off smaller minions, remove divine shields etc so they much more flexible than say, Flanking Maneuver. Ofc this spell, like the rest of the spells only package will only see play if the whole package is any good.

So on an empty board, the 3 damage can at least still go face. While I am intrigued by this spells only DH, I don't think it's gonna be any good coz the payoff it mainly the legendary weapon and you can still technically run the weapon in a normal minion centric deck if you wanted. 

Basically this spell will only see play in a spells only DH package, even then it may be cut coz the payoff is only 3 damage. Pitiful. 

I really want to make a Lady S'theno OTK viable and this weapon looks quite fun to try that. It may end up being too inconsistent though as you'd need to draw the Bound Soul spells. If that doesn't work then well, it's back to Jace fel shenanigans then and that's boring. 

Also this spells only DH actually negatively dissuaded you from running Renathal. 

This card does seem subpar at a glance, and it does. But I do have a specific deck idea where this card would help a ton.

There's a reason why people are downvoting you actually, but that's alright. Not everyone has to agree with what anyone says. There's no need to take a random disagreement from a random forum personally.

Maybe, but it pays to give deeper explanations, especially with situational cards like this which need several things to align.

No notification in game for this event... game interface is terrible for such events, it goes totally unnoticed

I personally appreciate when other user come here and give their own analysis on the new cards.

Vilespine Slayer would not even come close to seeing play if it was in Standard right now. This card won't see play either

Not to mention that the condition is far from ignorable and even harder to fulfill on Rogue.

I dunno, removal on a stick has historically found its place in rogue (think Vilespine Slayer and Flik Skyshiv), and Denathrius has encouraged more decks to put stuff on the board than we usually see, so there's hope for the card. 

Of course, this removal is more conditional than previous options, but it does leave a better body (2/5 with poisonous > 4/4) and rogue is a class that has a decent number of undead minions by accident as it gets forsaken characters far more frequently than other classes do. It may ultimately be too awkward, but there are enough points in its favour that I'd have to try it out before saying that with any confidence.

Again with the irrational wording. What souls? People who don't watch the videos surely getting confused with all the new wording.

Why not just use common words easier to understand? SMH

At first I didn't see the poisonous tag and thought this was garbage, but it's instant removal (as long as the minion doesn't have divine shield) with a 2/5 poisonous minion that can be difficult to remove.

I'd wager this guy would (most times) take out 2 minions before his death, that's pretty good!
