This card is actually better than it looks. Mage already has good dragons to play, so synergy will always will happen. While I don't like the stat distribution (it should have 1 more attack and 1-2 less health), I can't deny that a discover effect with predictable results that can greatly influence the game makes this card one akin zephyr.
I mean, It's a dragon. And the whole point of dragons is that you don't play them but hold them in your hand, so I don't mind having a slow, situation dragon. This might be played as a last-resort card for dragon druids, but otherwise it is just to slow to be played.
A nice "teammate" for Crowd Roaster so you can either hit big single targets or smaller targets as well. Also very viable in Wild give how many aggro decks you've got. Like many have said, this will also be a beast in Arena. I expect we're going to see a lot of this card everywhere
All these dragon explorers seem really good in arena, but not so impressive in constructed. Usually discover effect are either used in control decks, or when the outcome is relatively predictable (tracking, shadow visions, primordial glyph). So we either get more dragon synergy for hunter or this will only see play in highlander, especially after rotation.
Even in non-even hunter (heh), for 4 mana you get a 2/3, deal 2 dmg to the face, draw a secret from your deck and immediately play it. Secret hunter is already a good deck, this will be a staple.
We've already seen a lot of ways this card can get great plays in the pre-DoD meta so I don't expect that's going to change as more is revealed. Seems like Blizz is getting fairly proficient in printing good neutral Legendaries that they then give away for free (hey there Archmage Vargoth).
First this it comes to mind is cobra shot, but it also reminds me of quick shot, due to the cost, damage and conditional secondary effect. While cobra shot wasn't played, rapid shot was, and very often it didn't draw any cards, so this might be played, especially on decks like highlander that might play 2-3 dragons.
Cheap invoke is good, but I don't see the effect of a mere +1 attack being helpful ever. I feel they printed it just so they could print a 1-cost invoke spell for rogue and that they wanted the effect to be as lame as possible
New Neutral Minion - Devoted Maniac
Pretty bad card. The cost is too high for the low dmg stat and the Invoke - I can't see how this gets played in any deck sorry.
New Mage Minion - Malygos, Aspect of Magic
This card is actually better than it looks. Mage already has good dragons to play, so synergy will always will happen. While I don't like the stat distribution (it should have 1 more attack and 1-2 less health), I can't deny that a discover effect with predictable results that can greatly influence the game makes this card one akin zephyr.
Nozdormu the Timeless
Really good for Evolve and for Big Paladin(with Duel!). It has some potential but i don't think it will be meta defining.
Evasive Drakonid
Maybe can be better than good if buffed in taunt warrior?
New Neutral Minion - Shield of Galakrond
It's an Invoke card - so good in Galakrond decks, useless otherwise. So playability will depend entirely on how good the Galakronds are.
New Neutral Minion - Shield of Galakrond
Definitely better than the other neutral Invoke card we've seen.
New Neutral Minion - Evasive Drakonid
Another 5-star card here - just great all around. Friendship ended with Wyrmguard, new best friend here for basically ANY Dragon deck.
New Warlock Spell - Fiendish Rites
I think that summon after invoke.
Zoolock will be a thing for sure.
New Druid Minion - Ysera, Unleashed
I mean, It's a dragon. And the whole point of dragons is that you don't play them but hold them in your hand, so I don't mind having a slow, situation dragon. This might be played as a last-resort card for dragon druids, but otherwise it is just to slow to be played.
Fiendish Rites
I think this one won't make the cut. I hope there are some neutral invoke cards which summon tokens. 3 mana is too much.
New Shaman Spell - Lightning Breath
Good board clear spell for dragon shaman!
Galakrond, the Wretched
The battlecry is trash, but it can be a good finisher for zoo if upgraded fully. Also, I think you run it in zoo warlock for Veiled Worshipper alone.
New Neutral Minion - Twin Tyrant
A nice "teammate" for Crowd Roaster so you can either hit big single targets or smaller targets as well. Also very viable in Wild give how many aggro decks you've got. Like many have said, this will also be a beast in Arena. I expect we're going to see a lot of this card everywhere
New Warlock Hero - Galakrond, the Wretched
Not very good card since the hero power and the battlecry are not great...
New Hunter Minion - Primordial Explorer
All these dragon explorers seem really good in arena, but not so impressive in constructed. Usually discover effect are either used in control decks, or when the outcome is relatively predictable (tracking, shadow visions, primordial glyph). So we either get more dragon synergy for hunter or this will only see play in highlander, especially after rotation.
New Warlock Minion - Veiled Worshipper
Great card for Galakrond decks! Will definitely see play!
New Warlock Minion - Dragonblight Cultist
Trash! 3 drop with 1 health doesn't help at all.
Phase Stalker
Even in non-even hunter (heh), for 4 mana you get a 2/3, deal 2 dmg to the face, draw a secret from your deck and immediately play it. Secret hunter is already a good deck, this will be a staple.
New Warlock Spell - Fiendish Rites
Interesting spell, especially because of the invoke power! The question is if it activates before or after the imps are summoned.
New Neutral Minion - Sathrovarr
We've already seen a lot of ways this card can get great plays in the pre-DoD meta so I don't expect that's going to change as more is revealed. Seems like Blizz is getting fairly proficient in printing good neutral Legendaries that they then give away for free (hey there Archmage Vargoth).
New Warrior Minion - Deathwing, Mad Aspect
Not very excited, although it's a good board clearer.
New Hunter Spell - Corrosive Breath
First this it comes to mind is cobra shot, but it also reminds me of quick shot, due to the cost, damage and conditional secondary effect. While cobra shot wasn't played, rapid shot was, and very often it didn't draw any cards, so this might be played, especially on decks like highlander that might play 2-3 dragons.
New Warrior Spell - Molten Breath
Not very useful. Might not see play.
New Rogue Hero - Galakrond, the Nightmare
It's hard to see how this one isn't great, and perhaps the best one. We'll see.
Praise Galakrond!
Cheap invoke is good, but I don't see the effect of a mere +1 attack being helpful ever. I feel they printed it just so they could print a 1-cost invoke spell for rogue and that they wanted the effect to be as lame as possible
