Shadowlands: Mounts, Pets, and More (Part 2)
There are various collectibles available to be discovered in World of Warcraft and many ways to lay claim to these mounts, pets, and toys. Whether it's from delving into the Sanctum of Domination, perusing the wares in Tazavesh, the Veiled Market, or venturing deep into Korthia, the City of Secrets, you're sure to expand your store of treasures in the Shadowlands.
Currencies
There are many kinds of currencies used in Shadowlands. Here are just some of the types that you'll want to make sure you have at hand.
Gold
Reservoir Anima: A measure of the Anima your Covenant has at its disposal.
Polished Pet Charms: Redeemable at pet battle masters.
Cataloged Research: As you bring the Archivist relics, he will catalog it, which will allow you to start Field Studies to learn more about them or identify relics in his care that you can use in the field.
Stygia: The byproduct of the violent destruction of a Soul within the Maw.
Phantasma: This extinguished strand of anima can be used to gain power within Torghast. Leaving Torghast will destroy all Phantasma.
The charger's screams echo across the Maw as it continues a never-ending ride across the land, forever looking for escape from the endless torments it has been forced to endure.
Korthia was once known for its bright red flowers. Several species were known for consuming or rolling in them and taking on bright red coloration as a result.
The treachery of Hrestimorak was infamous, betraying his people to claim power. Facing damnation in the Maw, he tried to subvert the Jailer… a foolish act that would earn him an eternity of torment.
Of all the giants who dared defy the Jailer, Nilganihmaht was the most arrogant. For this transgression, the giant's severed hand was hidden within a veil of torments, and the rings that could summon it back were scattered across the Maw.
Salaranga was the most cunning of her kin and hid amongst the Beastwarrens. She struck at the Banished One with a horde of bestial allies. It did not matter.
A curious and inquisitive doe, she doesn't mean to worry her master; she just gets distracted easily. Especially with all the new things to see in Korthia.
Integrated into the depleted forces of the Wild Hunt, the fawn riders quickly found that the gorm's powerful mandibles were perfect for cutting down close enemy ranks.
"A young animite will rapidly grow if fed in excess. It is suggested that no more than one average soul's worth of anima be consumed per year to keep them docile."
Summon a cluster of Glimmerflies to lift your spirit, granting you the ability to float over land and water.
“Five of Bastion’s finest glimmerflies tethered by strings of anima.”
Use: Summon the Spirit of Ka-Sha to whisk you away for 20 seconds unless it is tired, then it will just slowly carry you around for 2 minutes. Only usable in the Shadowlands.
