BlizzCon experience (and pictures!)

BlizzCon has come and gone, and I have finally recovered enough to do a little write-up about it.

This year was my third BlizzCon. The past two years had been amazing, and this one was no exception.

From a Diablo standpoint, I feel it was way better than last year. I know this mostly applies to people who were at the convention, but the Slaughtered Calf Inn was the best part of the entire convention. The short mini-panels were very interesting to listen to (unfortunately, my phone failed to save the ones I streamed). So much of the Diablo development team was just hanging out at the Inn, more than happy to talk about Diablo, what they do, or anything else. The atmosphere allowed for a much more casual discussion than you might find at a Q&A panel. And it wasn't just developers, but other fellow players. I started conversations randomly with other patrons of the Inn, and met some really cool people (and even redditors).

On that note, BlizzCon really is all about the people you meet. I embraced this philosophy this year, and had a much better experience overall. You can always watch panels later, and the new game stuff will be out soon enough, but the chance to interact with friends, both new and old, at such a welcoming place, is unforgettable. If you haven't ever gone to BlizzCon, you should definitely try to come at least once.

Thanks to Blizzard and its amazing community for another wonderful BlizzCon experience!

You, and all those who took time out of the show to hang with us, really made the Slaughtered Calf Inn the experience that it was. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and made BlizzCon awesome.
