Hey r/Diablo! We're here for a quick Q&A about Patch 2.3.0.
UPDATE 4:15 p.m. PDT: And that's a wrap! Thanks to everyone for joining us and providing such great questions. The team had a lot of fun, and we hope you did, too. We'll see you next time! :)
Greetings, nephalem!
Last week we launched Patch 2.3.0 in Diablo III, and many of you rushed out the gate for Season 4! Today, we'd like to spend some time chatting with you about the patch and the game in general.
We'll be answering your questions for about an hour, beginning at around 3 p.m. Pacific Time (one hour after this post goes live). Answering questions today will be:
- /u/_JohnYang - Associate Designer
- /u/wyattcheng - Senior Technical Game Designer
- /u/Blizz_RogerHughston - Software Engineer
- /u/Blizz_KevinMartens - Lead Designer
- /u/BlizzRichieMarella - Senior 3D Artist
- /u/Blizz_BrianKindregan - Lead Writer
- /u/Blizz_MatthewBerger_ - Senior Level Designer
- /u/TravisDay - Senior Game Designer
Please feel free to post your questions for our developers below. Also, please post only a single question in each post. Thanks!
Also, as a quick tip: If your question has already been asked by someone else, it's often easier to simply upvote that one (which raises its visibility) rather than creating a new post. :)
UPDATE 4:08 p.m. PDT: We're taking questions for just a little longer everyone!

Stash space comes up a lot—it’s something we discuss regularly, and we definitely feel your pain. While we’d love to just provide everyone with more stash space, it’s not currently viable from a technical and infrastructure standpoint. We’re always looking for ways to help make it easier for players to manage their stash, and the problem only gets trickier with each new Season, so we hope to find the right solution in the future.

Wyatt has a much more in depth answer here, but I'll try to trim it down to a TLDR:
This is definitely a super generalized version of what Wyatt said, so I recommend you read his full reply for the details!

Blizzard monitors third party application use and players should be familiar with the terms of service. Diablo III does not support modding and it is not permitted.
