"removing the level requirement from an item" - does the item retain it's stats (beside lev. req. ofc) ?

Yes, it does! Just the level requirement is removed. It's another option (like the Gem of Ease) to make leveling additional characters much faster.

Sorry for the bit of off topic question, but what's the ETA on the patch?

After the end of Season 3, which we'll be giving at least a two weeks' notice for in advance.

So since u can reroll the item, and there is a chance of it being Ancient to just being downgraded to a regular legendary. Does it go the other way aswell then? Like is there a small chance when doing the reroll that it can become Ancient too?

    Yes!

    Could I grab a TL;DR?

    TLDR:

Kanai's Cube lets you customize your items in a variety of ways and break them down for their powers. It's also a tribute to one of our artists we lost last year.

If you want details, read the blog. ;)

I hope his family knows that Kevin's work is appreciated and not forgotten. He contributed to something that has brought me over a thousand hours worth of good memories and fun with my best friends.

Through that he, and all of you on the Diablo team, have made my life better in some small way. While I never had the opportunity to meet him, I'm truly sad to learn of the death of somebody so talented and enthusiastic.

Naming the cube after Kevin was a very nice gesture.

Kevin's wife helped provide the images of Kevin used in the blog and video. She is also a beloved member of the Blizzard family, and we couldn't have put this together without her (and many others).

I'm certain his family knows the incredible impact he had and how much he is missed by friends and coworkers alike. Thank you for the kind words!

I cried a little, damn feels.

I choked up during the interview with Neal (I'm off-screen, asking questions).

Thanks for reading, and sharing in the awesomeness that was KKG. It means a lot to us.
