Much love to Nevalistis for the heads up. Also came to quote something she wrote from the bnet thread in response to a disappointed poster as it was very well said:

I understand. We're excited for you guys to sink your teeth in too! However, there are a lot of tests and general sweeps we run before releasing PTR, such as making sure the download goes smoothly and nothing completely egregious and game-crashing remains that would hamper your ability to test. While we do want you guys to find the broken stuff, we try to take care of the big issues first.

Thanks for copying this over. I think they're important details, and sometimes the more nitty gritty stuff is easy to miss on the outside looking in.

Will there be a legendary drop rate buff with the new ptr?

For parts of it. We really want Kanai's Cube to get a lot of testing, and you need lots of Legendaries for that!

On the bright side, I won't be paranoid about what I'm missing when I go to Ikea tomorrow. On the down side, I've got to go to fucking Ikea tomorrow.

Not even patch notes? :(

Patch notes are released alongside the PTR. So they'll go live once the build is available for testing.

It would be funny to stream some of the current build just to rub it in.

I know it's a little heartbreaking for those of you who are super psyched. I don't intend to break hearts; I just want to give you the best time frame I'm able to provide.

I can't give you a date (because with PTR it's super subject to change). But for those of you who want to make plans for the weekend, I'd like you to have that peace of mind that you aren't missing out.
